Chapter 67 - Personal curiosity.

Liwu was in no rush to enter the car just yet. She leaned back against it and crossed her feet, acting as if she had all the time in the world. 

Weijun did not understand her purpose. "Dear," he smiled, "You have a suspect, one that makes more sense than this grieving family. I thought you would be eager to pick him up." 

Liwu raised her hand and touched his shoulder. "Sweet Rose, we don't have proof that Pei Wu did this. Until we do, I must follow where the investigation leads. The father does not seem to have a reason to kill his daughter. But I cannot say the same for the rest of the family."

Weijun took her hand down. "Drug addict murdered kind hearted heiress' is a much better headline than 'mother killed her daughter because she was doing too much charity.'"

"You would like that, wouldn't you?" Liwu asked as she entered the car. "But I am warning you, no meddling. And, don't you dare leak the name of my suspect to the press in an effort to control the narrative."
