Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Starting by Making a Name in the Four Seas!

Cyrus stopped in his tracks.

Not paying attention, Robin bumped into him. She looked up to see that Cyrus had already turned around and was looking down at her.

'Did I say something wrong?'

Robin's heart skipped a beat.

Her previously cautious nature made her overthink things.

"Then wouldn't I have come here for nothing?" Just as Robin's mind was racing, Cyrus suddenly spoke with a smile.

Huh?

Seeing Cyrus's smile, Robin's mind went blank for a moment.

"Why did I set out to sea?"

Cyrus put his arm around Robin's shoulder, and they started walking forward together as he asked the question.

With his arm around her, Robin tilted her head up to look at Cyrus's profile.

His face was still somewhat boyish, revealing his youth, yet he already possessed such immense strength. A sense of security quietly bloomed in her heart.

Robin relaxed a little and pondered Cyrus's words.

"To fight the strong?" she asked.

"Yes, that's part of getting stronger," Cyrus nodded.

"And then?" Robin asked in return.

"What do you mean 'and then'?"

"I mean, after you get stronger?" Robin prompted.

Cyrus fell into thought at her words, then turned to look at Robin and shook his head.

"I haven't thought about it. Maybe make a name for myself on the seas? But that doesn't seem to be what I want either."

"Become a Pirate?" Robin asked, looking at Cyrus again.

"I've never thought about becoming a Pirate. Even if there are true adventurers among them, a Pirate is still a Pirate," Cyrus shook his head.

"Mmm!"

Robin nodded. She was well aware of how Pirates behaved.

"It's said that before the Pirate King was executed, he said he left all his treasure on the final island. Don't you want to get that?"

"The final island?" Cyrus turned his head to look into Robin's eyes, his gaze clear and calm.

"The treasure there is different from what these Pirates think of as treasure," Cyrus said, shaking his head slightly.

If it was treasure he was after, taking down the Golden Emperor was obviously a much better deal.

Even if the final island had treasure, the amount certainly couldn't compare to what the Golden Emperor possessed.

For the current Cyrus, treasure, or rather money, was already something easily within his grasp.

"Since you haven't decided yet, why not set a small goal first!" Robin suggested, seeing that Cyrus seemed to lack a clear objective.

"That's not a bad idea. Then let's start by making a name for myself in the Four Seas."

Cyrus stroked his chin, then leaned down slightly and kissed Robin on the forehead.

Instantly, Robin's body tensed up.

Cyrus, whose arm was still around her shoulder, could feel her current state and couldn't help but be amused.

The previously composed Robin now had a flushed face and her eyes were darting about, seemingly flustered by Cyrus's sudden action.

"Since I'm going to make a name for myself in the Four Seas, is Chinjao the Pirate with the highest bounty here in the West Blue?" Cyrus spoke, easing Robin's panic.

She looked up at Cyrus with a blush, thought for a moment, and nodded.

"Many great figures have come from the West Blue, but they've all left for the Grand Line. Right now, the one with the highest bounty is indeed the 12th leader of the Eight Treasure Navy, though he doesn't show up much anymore. His grandson is currently in command of the Eight Treasure Navy."

Robin thought for a moment and gave her answer.

"If I defeat him, will I be able to make a name for myself in the West Blue?" Cyrus asked.

"Of course. Twenty years ago, his bounty was already 500 million Belly. If he hadn't run into the Navy Hero, he might be one of the overlords of the Grand Line right now."

"Another one of Garp's victims!"

Cyrus chuckled lightly, recalling the time on Garp's ship when he had zapped him, giving Garp a black eye.

"But how are we going to find him? This is the Flower Country, after all. If we just show up at their door, we might get swarmed," Robin said with some worry.

No matter how strong Cyrus was, he would be at a great disadvantage if he were surrounded.

"Actually, we don't need to go looking for him. Someone was already listening in while we were talking," Cyrus said, his eyes scanning the surroundings.

Robin's heart tightened. She turned to look around, pulling the hood on her head down slightly to cover half of her face.

"Now we just have to wait."

"The other party's status is not ordinary. Even if we said that, the one who comes might not be Ching Jiao," Robin reminded him.

"It's fine. If it's not him who comes now, it will be him later."

Robin's heart skipped a beat as she understood Cyrus's meaning.

But thinking back to Cyrus's previous fight with Aokiji, he should be able to handle the current situation.

...

"Garp? And they mentioned old man Chinjao? Are they here to cause trouble?"

Sai, who was just twenty years old, had already taken over most of the Eight Treasure Navy's affairs.

His old man's spirit had been broken, and he now spent his days staring blankly at the treasure under the Frost.

So, when he heard the news from his subordinates, Sai's interest was immediately piqued.

"Should we inform the old man?" asked Boo, who carried three battle-axes on his back.

"No. If the old man hears the name Garp, he'll probably fly into a rage."

They were all too clear about the grudge between Chinjao and Garp.

Even the mere mention of Garp's name would send the old man into a frenzy.

"Kakakaka, let's go! Let's meet this person!"

Sai stroked his chin in thought, then grabbed the long-handled blade beside him and stood up. Boo followed behind him.

"We can just send some men to capture those two."

"No. Since they dare to provoke us, they must have some strength. Those guys might not be a match for them," Sai said, shaking his head directly.

But in truth, his hands were just itching for a fight.

It would still be some time before he set sail, and someone had come looking for trouble. It was a perfect chance to warm up.

That was what Sai was thinking.

On the other side, Robin quickly noticed that something was wrong.

The people around them were dwindling, while those who appeared were all burly and fierce-looking.

"We've definitely been discovered. These should be men from the Eight Treasure Navy," Robin whispered to Cyrus.

Cyrus didn't answer. The hand on Robin's shoulder tightened, reassuring her.

"We're on our way to the Eight Treasure Navy's base right now. I just don't know who will show up next."

Cyrus fully extended his Observation Haki, and everything around him was "seen" by him.

In the distance, the Eight Treasure Navy had already set up a cordon, preventing the people of the Flower Country from getting close.

To put it simply, they were already surrounded by the Eight Treasure Navy.

Robin's Observation Haki probably hadn't awakened, so she couldn't sense this. She could only analyze the situation based on what she could see around her.

"They're here!"

Just as Robin was growing vigilant, Cyrus suddenly stopped and spoke.

Robin's heart tightened, and she looked ahead.

After a good while, a large group of people appeared on the main road in front of them.

"It's Sai and Boo. They should be the ones managing the Eight Treasure Navy now," Robin immediately recognized them and whispered a reminder.

"I know!"

Cyrus recognized them too.

The newcomer was Sai, the man who would one day marry Baby 5 and become the captain of the third division of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, leading the entire Eight Treasure Navy to join the Straw Hat crew.
