Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: A Crushing Defeat

Sai was known as a winner in life.

After the battle of Dressrosa, he got a wife, fully inherited the Eight Treasure Navy with his grandfather Chinjao's approval, and even mastered the ultimate principle of the Hasshoken.

Looking at the approaching Sai, Cyrus's hands suddenly started to itch.

Robin, who had been held by Cyrus's arm, soon noticed his hand getting a little restless.

After Sai and his men appeared, the surrounding people immediately drew their weapons and surrounded Cyrus and Robin.

Robin subconsciously prepared to make a move.

"Leave it to me!"

Cyrus withdrew his hand, patted Robin's shoulder, and then took back his sword.

Hearing Cyrus say this, Robin nodded and took a step back.

Sai and his men arrived, their gazes sweeping over the pair before settling on Cyrus, who was holding his sword.

"Who are you? What is your purpose in the Flower Country?"

Sai sized up Cyrus with his blade in hand. Seeing Cyrus's face and noticing his youth, he suddenly felt he had overreacted.

And here he thought he could get a good workout!

"As for my purpose, we can talk about that later!"

Cyrus looked at Sai and abruptly unleashed his recently awakened Conqueror's Haki.

An invisible shockwave spread outwards.

In an instant, all the surrounding Pirates rolled their eyes and fainted, collapsing to the ground.

On the opposite side, only Sai, his brother Boo, and a few other Eight Treasure Navy officers remained standing, but they were now covered in cold sweat.

An immense pressure assaulted their nerves.

"This is the old master's..."

Boo, drenched in cold sweat, spoke with difficulty, his eyes wide.

They had naturally witnessed Chinjao's Conqueror's Haki before, and upon feeling a similar aura, they immediately recognized it.

Sai gripped his large blade tightly, holding it horizontally in front of him with a grave expression.

Conqueror's Haki!

This kid actually had Conqueror's Haki.

This was something only one in a million people possessed.

When did the West Blue produce such a kid?

"Come at me together!" Cyrus said softly, his sword still sheathed as his eyes fixed on the few men opposite him.

"Don't be so arrogant! I am the vice-leader of the Eight Treasure Navy!"

As his voice fell, a throwing axe flew towards Cyrus.

Clang!

With an Armament Haki-coated arm, he blocked the axe that flew at him, sending it crashing into a nearby house.

After blocking the axe, Cyrus's figure flickered and disappeared, reappearing in front of Boo.

He swung his leg horizontally, and Boo's large body was sent flying sideways, crashing through several houses.

"Heh!"

Seeing his brother kicked away, Sai didn't hesitate for a moment, gripping his blade with both hands and slashing down at Cyrus.

Before the blade could land, Cyrus's foot arrived again.

A straight kick landed on his abdomen, sending Sai and the few officers behind him flying.

"Keep up!" Cyrus shouted, his figure disappearing once more.

Before the force of the kick had dissipated, Cyrus's figure caught up again and delivered another kick.

Weak!

Cyrus shook his head slightly, looking at Sai who was once again sent flying.

"Don't look down on me!"

Sai, sent flying, plunged his long blade into the ground, carving a long gash.

His eyes were fixed on Cyrus as he flipped up, coating his feet with Armament Haki.

He flew towards Cyrus, his Armament Haki-infused foot smashing down fiercely.

"Too weak!"

Cyrus raised his own foot, also coated in Armament Haki, and kicked against the foot descending from the air.

In this head-on clash, Sai's expression changed drastically.

He felt a terrifying force coming from his foot, and he was sent spinning through the air, crashing several hundred meters away.

Behind them, Robin watched as Cyrus defeated his opponents in a matter of moments.

So strong!

At least, what Cyrus was displaying against these people was overwhelming power.

"Damn it!"

Sai scrambled to his feet, shock flashing in his eyes. His foot was now numb.

Not only did he have Conqueror's Haki, but his mastery of Armament Haki was also this profound.

"Hasshoken!"

Sai shook off the discomfort in his foot. Seeing Cyrus slowly approaching, his figure vanished.

The Hasshoken was the inherited technique of the Eight Treasure Navy, and all its successive leaders had made their names with it.

The special technique, supplemented by Armament Haki, could unleash extremely powerful force.

Back in the day, his grandfather had made a name for himself with the Hasshoken and the Armament Haki-coated drill on his head.

Even knowing his opponent was strong, he had no intention of surrendering.

Hmm!

Sai attacked, his long blade, fists, and legs all becoming weapons as he launched a torrential assault on Cyrus.

But the current Sai was far weaker than Cyrus.

Perhaps the Sai from the Dressrosa arc could have made Cyrus a little more serious.

However, the strange force contained within his attacks did pique Cyrus's interest.

Cyrus naturally knew that there were many exquisite fighting techniques in this world.

Shimotsuki Koshiro's Swordsmanship and Jinbei's Fish-man Karate both belonged to this category.

But most other Pirates fought with crude methods developed through brawls on the high seas.

And what Sai was using now was different.

Raising his sword to block Sai's frantic attacks, he could feel a sort of wave-like, latent force within each strike.

"Ah~"

Just as Cyrus was about to feel it out more carefully, a tall figure burst through a house, bringing down two axes with great force.

Bang!

After a dull thud, the frantically attacking Sai stopped, staring in astonishment at the scene before him.

Boo, who had launched the attack, glared at Cyrus.

Then, the two axes that had struck Cyrus's shoulder shattered with a bang.

Thump!

Boo slammed violently onto the ground.

The stone slabs shattered, and cracks spread out in all directions, even affecting the surrounding houses.

Cyrus's foot was on Boo's back. Boo's eyes rolled back, and he passed out.

"Bastard!"

Sai was shocked and grabbed his blade, about to charge.

"Wait!"

Cyrus raised a hand to stop Sai, then looked at his own shoulder.

'Tch, my clothes are torn.'

Those two axes just now had cost him a good chunk of 1% of his health, which had already regenerated.

But these clothes... it seems he'd have to coat his clothes with Armament Haki from now on.

Sai froze in place when he saw Cyrus raise his hand.

"You're not good enough. Go get your old man!" Cyrus said with a wave of his hand.

"You'll have to get past me first!" Sai subconsciously shouted, but before he could finish, he was kicked in the chest.

His body bent to an extreme degree, and in the blink of an eye, he flew out of sight.

"So much nonsense," Cyrus said, exasperated.

It seemed like everyone in this world was like that.

"You're being too reckless!"

Robin, walking up from behind, looked at the surrounding scene, Boo under Cyrus's foot, and the other men who had been knocked unconscious without even getting a chance to fight, and spoke with a sense of helplessness.

"We still need to take their ship to leave," Robin reminded him.

"It's fine. Don't Pirates always make up after a fight?" Cyrus said with a dismissive wave.

Robin was even more speechless.

Where did he hear such false information?
