The clank of a sword. The vibration of the metal reverberated around the room as it hit the ground. The sheer thermal energy that had came from the sword burnt the ground before the metal could even reach.
A sweat drop fell down Imaez's face.
*This heat is supernatural.* He closed his eyes and focused…
A leap— fwuuush! Imaez ran towards Guri. Immediately beginning to use his blade to eliminate the heat from ever reaching him as the two begun to clash. As their blades touched, a shockwave filled the castle.
"Marie! I think the heat guy's energy is warping around Imaez's black hole infused sword! So his thermal energy isn't getting condensed by Imaez!" Lloyd shouted as an attempt for her to hear him.
"I think the castles crumbling!!!" Marie shouted at the top of her lungs.
The only thing that they could hear was metal reverberating through out the infrastructure.
"How do you like the duel, REAPER! Is it amusing you? Do you find it to be the right conditions.. It's a great tradition of Royal Officers to duel criminals after we catch them… Lucky for me you have fell right into his trap!" Guri had a great smile on his face.
*His trap? So we were meant to come here..? Someone knew I was going to be here…?* Imaez thought.
*No, what's more important now is this 'duel' I'm participating in.. He plays by the book, so let me..* He interrupted his own thoughts.
Imaez had dashed backwards disengaging, rather he had decided to go for a slash on Guri's left side.
*Alright! I need to BLOCK!* Guri screamed to himself in his mind.
Guri's positioned to block the blade but in an instant—
A sword was thrown in the air.
grippppp. A strong grip was put on it.
*He- he threw his sword to his right arm?!* Lloyd thought as he focused on Imaez.
Imaez had thrown the sword to his open arm and the exposed part of Guri's body.
"Eradicate..!" Imaez whispered.
A slash was sent, Guri had planted his foot down.
"SHAAAAAA!" The foot planted had sent a wave of thermal amplified spikes, piercing Imaez's body.
Imaez had braced for impact. The spikes had sent him flying into the wall, barely catching himself.
*Good.. they're not fatal..* He breathed in and out slowly.
Guri had begun panting—
*Hhha… hhhaaa.. That… hha.. took a lot out of me. Spikes that big yet I still have to work on it.. Even a decade long pact user isn't perfect I suppose… Unlike you, Lord Emperor.* Guri had put his hand on his chest. *My heart rate is rising.. I have to end this quick.*
Guri's thermal energy had begun spluttering. It was giving out on him.
He ran at immeasurable speed towards Imaez.
"REAPER!"

Guri was pinned down by Lloyd and Marie's abilities.
"Idiot! Don't you see we're here too?!" They said in unison.
Imaez had shown some glimpses of surprise in his eyes.
