Jay's POV (Back at Home)
As soon as I stepped inside, I noticed Angelo sitting at the dining table, papers spread out in front of him. His expression was calm but firm, that unmistakable aura of authority filling the room.
"Jay," he called, looking up. "Come here."
I walked over, my heart racing slightly. Angelo had always been strict, but I knew he cared deeply about us.
"So…" he began, folding his hands. "Keifer and you… is this official?"
I nodded confidently. "Yes, kuya."
He studied me for a moment, then nodded slowly. "Alright. But I want you both to remember—do not cross any limits. Respect each other, and respect yourselves."
I swallowed, nodding. "I understand, kuya."
Before I could step back, Aries, my horoscope-obsessed brother, chimed in from where he was sitting nearby.
"Kuya," he said, eyes wide and teasing, "are you letting them be in a relationship?"
Angelo's gaze didn't waver. "Yes, I know about Keifer. And I trust Jay to make the right choices."
Then he turned to me, his expression softening just slightly. "Jay, do you want to be in a live-in relationship with Keifer?"
I felt my cheeks heat up, but my voice was steady. "Yes, kuya."
Angelo nodded, as if he had expected nothing less. "Very well. You can move in tomorrow. And make sure to inform Keifer to come and pick you up."
My heart leapt. "Thank you, kuya," I said softly, my hands clasped together in relief and happiness.
Aries whistled quietly. "Wow… this is really happening."
I just smiled, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Tomorrow, everything would change. But for the first time, it felt right.Jay's POV (Chatting with Keifer)
After Angelo's approval, I couldn't wait to tell Keifer everything. I grabbed my phone and typed as fast as my heart was racing.
Jay: "Keifer! You won't believe what happened today! Angelo said yes… we're official! Live-in approved! Aries was annoying as always!"
Almost immediately, my phone buzzed.
Keifer: "Wait… slow down. Let me translate that. So… big news: live-in relationship approved, Angelo scary but supportive, Aries annoying. Got it 😏"
I rolled my eyes at his teasing but couldn't help giggling.
Jay: "You're impossible. That's not exactly how I said it."
Keifer: "Close enough. I see a lot of excitement in there, though. And maybe some nervousness."
Jay: "Okay, maybe a little. But you don't get to tease me about it."
Keifer: "Why not? I love it when you're excited. And I have to know exactly what's going on in that head of yours."
My heart fluttered. He always made me feel so seen, so understood.
Jay: "Well… everything's official now. Tomorrow you get to pick me up, and I guess… our new chapter begins."
Keifer: "Official, huh? I can't wait. Tomorrow… everything starts, Jay. And I promise, it's going to be perfect."
I hid my face under the pillow, smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. Tomorrow… everything was really about to change.
