Dorset wasn't that far from where they lived.
The Chen family chose to fly back.
The journey home was smooth and quiet. Alexander spent most of the trip thinking about everything he had learned over the past few days—fairies, unicorns, Occlumency… and, of course, the Wampus Cat incident that he still found hilarious.
Once they arrived back at home, Don and Lisa were already waiting outside.
"Young Master! Master! Madam! Welcome home!" they said in unison, bowing deeply but unable to hide their excitement.
Alexander grinned and placed his briefcase carefully in the living room before lunch was served. The house elves had clearly prepared a feast to celebrate their return.
After lunch, Alexander clapped his hands together.
"Alright! Everyone—field trip."
Mr. Chen chuckled. "A field trip inside a briefcase. I never thought I'd hear that sentence in my life."
With that, He opened the case and led everyone inside.
The first stop was the unicorn living area.
Soft light shimmered across the grass as the baby unicorns pranced about. Mrs. Chen gasped, instantly enchanted.
"Oh my goodness—they're even cuter than the photos!"
She gently petted them, laughing as one nuzzled her arm. Soon, she asked Copper to take photos, and was completely absorbed.
Meanwhile, Silver proudly spoke to Don and Lisa.
"We went to America! We earned money!"
Silver started to share their galleons like priceless treasures with Lisa and Don.
Copper quickly took some photos of the three house elves, who burst into tears—hugging, laughing, and crying all at once. While being surrounded by a small mountain of gold.
Alexander and Mr. Chen stood off to the side watching.
Mr. Chen folded his arms. "You got the unicorns from Nick, right?"
"Yeah, it was a gift."
Mr. Chen nodded, but his expression turned serious.
"Be careful who you show them to. Unicorns are always in demand."
Alexander nodded firmly. "I know, Dad."
They continued the tour until they reached the troll enclosure.
Dumbo was lounging peacefully until he noticed them. His face lit up, and he waved enthusiastically.
Mr. and Mrs. Chen froze for a second.
"…That troll just waved," Mrs. Chen said slowly.
The house elves approached first, chatting with it cautiously before relaxing. Dumbo laughed in his usual goofy way, clearly pleased with the attention.
"You've done a good job taming him," Mr. Chen said.
Dumbo waved again as they left.
Next came the fairy habitat.
Tiny glowing lights fluttered through the trees.
Mrs. Chen clasped her hands. "They're beautiful…"
At first, the fairies hid, but once they saw Alexander and Silver, they came out to play. Tinkerbell hovered proudly near him as if presenting her kingdom.
They moved on to the chicken coops surrounding a small artificial mountain.
Mrs. Chen blinked.
"…I still don't know why you are raising chickens? Do you love eating chicken that much?"
Alexander laughed.
"I have plans for them. Don't worry. Besides, my grilling skills need improvement—Mr. Weasley set high standards."
Everyone laughed.
Mr. Chen, however, studied the terrain carefully—the protective charms, the spacing, the formations.
"Are you planning to get another magical creature? The layout looks… prepared."
He just smiled mysteriously.
"It'll be a surprise. When you find out—don't be shocked."
Mrs. Chen laughed. "Nothing can surprise us anymore, honey."
Alexander showed them his magical garden.
"Silver and Copper are doing a great job." Said Mr. Chen.
"Sweety, why are you growing so many different kinds of potion ingredients? We can always buy them." Mrs. Chen asked.
Alexander laughed, "I have all this room. Mind as well grow some for fun."
They were just about to leave the briefcase when Silver came sprinting toward them, screaming.
"Young Master! There is a wild magical creature here! Help!"
Everyone turned.
A small black creature stood near the meadow—snout twitching.
"A Niffler?" Mr. Chen said, stunned. "Isn't it supposed to be with Mr. Scamander?"
The creature perked up at the sight of Alexander.
Alexander casually pulled out a few galleons and tossed them.
The Niffler dove onto the coins happily.
Alexander shook his head, amused.
"Silver—take care of it for now."
"Yes, Young Master!"
Mr. Chen sighed. "I'll write a letter and ask what they want done with it."
They exited the briefcase as the sun began to set.
Dinner was warm and lively, filled with stories from the trip. The house elves listened in awe, especially about America and the magical creatures.
Later that night, Alexander checked on the Niffler one last time before heading to bed.
As he lay down, he couldn't help but smile.
More creatures.
More training.
More adventures.
And somewhere in the back of his mind…
He was already planning what magical creature would join his world next.
