Chapter 195 - A Halloween to Remember

For several seconds after the Vampires disappeared, the Great Hall remained completely silent.

Students stared at the closed doors.

Some were still breathing heavily from the chaos.

Others looked around at the mess of broken plates, spilled food, and overturned decorations.

Then suddenly—

BANG!

The doors of the Great Hall swung open again.

The group of Vampire students came running back inside, laughing loudly.

"Hurry!" one shouted.

"The show is about to start!"

"We can't miss it!"

Confused murmurs spread through the hall.

By now, most students had realized everything had been part of a massive performance.

Only a handful still looked frightened and confused—especially the group gathered around Lockhart, who was still holding garlic in both hands.

Lockhart looked completely bewildered.

"Didn't the Vampires just run away?" he asked loudly.

"Why are they back?"

He glanced around the hall.

"What show are they talking about?"

Before anyone could answer—

A group of ghosts suddenly flew through the walls.

At the front was Nearly Headless Nick, followed by several other Hogwarts ghosts.

They were all wearing flowing vampire cloaks and fake fangs.

Nick raised his arms dramatically.

"We are the Vampire Ghosts of Hogwarts!"

The ghosts swirled through the hall.

"Tonight we celebrate the darkness!"

The ghosts spun around the hall, their cloaks billowing as they howled playfully.

Students burst into cheers and laughter.

Right at that moment, Alexander calmly lifted his wand.

With a single wave—

All the pumpkins decorating the Great Hall exploded.

But instead of mess or damage, they burst into bright, harmless fireworks.

Golden sparks filled the air.

Purple and green lights rained down like magical confetti.

After the final burst of fireworks faded, the enchanted ceiling changed again.

Across the night sky appeared glowing words.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN HOGWARTS

The hall erupted into thunderous cheering.

Students clapped wildly.

Even many professors at the High Table applauded.

At last, Lockhart blinked several times before realization finally struck him.

"Oh…"

"So it was… a show..."

Meanwhile, in the center of the hall, only two people remained standing calmly amid the chaos.

Alexander and Cho.

A faint Protego shield surrounded them, protecting them from the flying food and falling debris earlier.

Several first-year students nearby slowly realized the truth.

"Wait…"

"This whole thing…"

"Alexander did it?"

They began laughing in relief.

Lee and several vampire students ran over.

He was still wearing the dramatic Vampire Lord outfit.

"How was my performance?" he asked eagerly.

Alexander smiled.

"It was excellent."

"Much better than I expected."

Cho clapped happily.

"I loved it," she said. "Great job, Lee!"

Lee beamed with pride.

Alexander nodded approvingly.

"Keep it up."

He crossed his arms thoughtfully.

"Next year I might need the Great Vampire Lord again."

Lee froze.

"Me?!"

He pointed to himself excitedly.

"Pick me again!"

"I can only be the Great Vampire Lord!"

Alexander laughed.

"Once I think of more plans, I'll let you know."

Lee cheered loudly.

He immediately ran off with the other vampire students to show off their costumes.

Moments later, Peeves appeared again, cackling loudly while holding an enchanted camera.

He began snapping magical photos of everyone.

Students started posing dramatically—pretending to bite each other or brandishing wands like vampire hunters.

Nearby, the twins were already shouting to the crowd.

Fred Weasley cupped his hands around his mouth.

"Enchanted photos for sale tomorrow morning!"

Beside him, George Weasley added loudly,

"Come to the Gryffindor table and buy your memories!"

"Don't miss these legendary moments!"

Cho laughed as she watched the chaos continue.

She turned toward Alexander.

"How did you do all of this?"

Alexander gently took her hand.

"Let's leave quickly," he said quietly.

"I can feel Snape glaring at me… and Filch crying from here."

Cho giggled.

They slipped out of the hall before anyone could stop them.

As they walked through the castle corridors, Cho asked again,

"So really… how did you do it?"

Alexander shrugged.

"Just basic illusion spells and some props."

He smiled slightly.

"The coffins and all the costumes came from friends of mine in America."

"Halloween is a huge holiday over there."

"They were happy to sell everything to me."

Cho thought about that for a moment.

"I know I asked for a vampire show," she said softly, "but didn't this cost a lot?"

Alexander stopped walking.

He turned toward her.

Then he gently kissed her.

"There is never a price for happiness."

Cho smiled warmly.

They sat together in a comfortable chair in front of the fireplace in the Ravenclaw Common Room.

Students gradually returned from the feast.

Many noticed the two of them cuddling quietly near the fire.

No one got near or interrupted them.

The students tried to whisper about the Halloween event, but excitement over the performance slowly made their voices rise.

"The vampires were amazing!"

"I wish I could've joined!"

"The hunters were awesome!"

Alexander listened for a moment.

Then he casually waved his wand.

The sound around them faded.

A Protego barrier formed and was layered with Imperturbable Charm, isolating them from the noise.

Inside their little bubble, everything was peaceful.

Cho leaned comfortably against him.

The excitement of the night finally caught up with her.

Within minutes, she had fallen asleep in Alexander's arms.

Alexander looked down at her and smiled gently.

He held her a little closer.

The warm firelight flickered across the room as the castle slowly settled for the night.

Alexander looked around to make sure his spell was still working, waved his wand to reinforce it, and made the chair they were on more comfortable.

Alexander closed his eyes as well.

And the two of them drifted off to sleep.
