Chapter 196 - Morning After the Night Court

Morning light slowly crept into the Ravenclaw Common Room, the fireplace now only glowing faintly with dying embers.

A small movement stirred the quiet room as Cho slowly woke up.

She shifted slightly, the movement caused Alexander to wake as well.

He blinked a few times before smiling softly.

"Good morning."

Cho immediately realized where she was.

In his arms but she felt comfortable.

Her face turned bright red.

"Sorry!" she said quickly. "I was too tired and fell asleep in your arms."

She looked up at him nervously.

"Was it uncomfortable? Was I too heavy?"

Alexander chuckled.

"It was very comfortable and no you were not heavy."

He looked into her eyes and stared at her for a moment then said.

"I wish we could spend every night together like this."

Cho relaxed slightly but still looked embarrassed.

She carefully stood up and straightened her robe.

"I should go freshen up," she said. "I'll meet you at breakfast."

Alexander stood up and gave her a quick kiss and said.

"Okay, see you soon."

Alexander watched Cho head upstairs before he went to his room.

After showering and changing into fresh clothes, Alexander made his way down toward the Great Hall.

When he entered, he paused for a moment.

The Great Hall looked completely normal again.

All the damage from the night before—the broken plates, spilled food, and chaos—had been perfectly cleaned and restored by magic.

Alexander whistled quietly.

"Impressive."

He slowly walked to the Ravenclaw table and sat down.

As he sat there waiting for Cho, students around him continued talking with excitement.

Almost every conversation in the hall was about the same thing.

Last night's Halloween performance.

Some students were passionately debating.

"Vampires were cooler!"

"No way, Vampire Hunters were better!"

Others were laughing about the more embarrassing moments.

"Did you see those students hiding behind Professor Lockhart with garlic?"

"I thought they were going to cry!"

"Lockhart looked so confused!"

While Alexander waiting for Cho and the food, several students walked up to him.

"Chen, that show was amazing!"

"Best Halloween ever!"

"If you do another one, I want to volunteer!"

"Yeah! I'll help with anything!"

Alexander smiled politely.

"Thank you for the support."

He gestured toward the Gryffindor table.

"Once I plan the next event, talk to the twins."

"They're in charge of personnel."

The students nodded excitedly and rushed away.

At the Gryffindor table, the twins were already hard at work.

Fred stood on a bench holding a stack of enchanted photos.

"Step right up!"

Beside him, George shouted loudly,

"Enchanted photos from last night!"

"Pick your favorite moments!"

"It doesn't cost much!"

Fred added dramatically,

"Hey, these are precious memories!"

"If you don't buy them, someone else will!"

Standing beside them in full costume was Lee, dressed as the Vampire Lord.

He raised his arms dramatically.

"Come, my children!"

"Buy these photos and join my blood clan!"

Students burst out laughing as they lined up to buy the enchanted photos.

The twins and Lee happily joked and entertained the crowd while selling them.

Eventually, the crowd thinned out.

Fred and George walked over to Alexander with a large bundle.

George dropped it on the table with a thud.

"Here you go."

Fred grinned.

"We didn't enchant them."

George shrugged.

"Figured you'd want to handle that yourself."

Alexander gathered the stack.

"Thanks."

Then he leaned in and quietly reminded them,

"Don't forget to send the payment to the address I gave you the other night."

The twins grinned mischievously.

"Of course."

Fred crossed his arms proudly.

"We're international business partners now."

George laughed.

"Easy money."

Fred added,

"Easy chaos."

Both of them burst out laughing before running back to their table.

Cho walked into the Great Hall and saw the twins running back to their table.

She sat down and asked Alexander,

"Alex, what did the twins give you?"

He smiled and said.

"You are really beautiful. Ahem they just gave us our photos from last night."

Cho blushed and said,

"What photos?"

Alexander pulled out a big stack of photos and said.

"During class, we can organize these."

Cho nodded.

Later in class, the two of them quietly worked together.

Alexander enchanted each photo carefully, turning them into moving magical images.

Cho helped sort and stack them neatly.

As they worked, they occasionally paused to watch the photos.

Some showed students running from vampires.

Others captured dramatic duels between hunters and monsters.

A few showed Jordan posing proudly as the Vampire Lord.

They both quietly laughed while watching the scenes.

Then suddenly—

Cho nearly screamed. Her face was red, and had to have both hands cover her mouth from screaming.

Alexander looked up immediately and was confused.

"What happened?"

She pointed at the last few photos.

Alexander picked one up and laughed quietly.

Apparently Peeves had taken a few extra photos.

The pictures showed Alexander and Cho cuddling together in front of the fireplace the night before.

Cho's face turned completely red, she started to lightly hit him a couple of times.

"Even Peeves took pictures of these?!"

Alexander let her vent out her embarrassment for a minute or so. He smiled and said.

"It's only us cuddling."

Cho quickly grabbed the photos and hid them inside her bag.

"No one is allowed to see these! Only we can see these photos!"

Alexander chuckled.

"That's fine. Just don't lose them."

Cho nodded firmly.

The rest of the day passed with students still chatting excitedly about vampires, hunters, and the legendary Halloween show.

And everywhere Alexander walked…

People were still talking about it.
