Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Hundredfold Critical Strike! High-Tier Mirror Dimension!

Time flew by.

It had been almost a week since the last Hulk incident.

Recently, Karl's magical training had been going very well, and his strength was growing fast.

But.

He also had his troubles.

The trouble was that he had become famous.

He had wanted to keep a low profile, but in the end, he still couldn't.

Whenever he walked down the road, he could see sorcerers pointing at him, then giving him inexplicable smiles.

"Damn! That's Sorcerer Karl, right? I heard he subdued the Hulk!"

"More than that—I heard he beat the Hulk into submission with a single punch!"

"You're exaggerating too much. What do you think this is, the Ancient One-sama? I heard Sorcerer Karl casually used one spell and took the Hulk down!"

"I heard Sorcerer Karl only became a probationary sorcerer after three years?"

"Sorcerer Karl is a real genius! His strength is growing way too fast!"

"I think Sorcerer Karl will become a master sorcerer soon!"

A flood of voices poured into Karl's head.

It left Karl completely helpless.

He had the distinct feeling of being a monkey on display in a zoo.

"I wanted to keep a low profile, but I can't even do that," Karl muttered.

"These sorcerers are just as gossipy as ordinary people."

Karl shook his head.

With a casual wave of his hand, a Portal appeared in front of him, and Karl stepped straight through.

In the next instant—

he appeared inside the training room.

"What, you couldn't stand being bothered anymore?"

The moment Karl walked in, Aldrich's voice sounded.

"Ah… Aldrich-sensei, if I'd known, I really shouldn't have stepped in back then."

Karl couldn't help but sigh as he spoke.

He still preferred a quiet life.

Hearing that, Aldrich's mouth twitched.

Acting.

Keep acting.

Isn't it satisfying to be the center of attention?

He wanted that kind of attention and didn't even have the chance.

This brat was living in bliss and didn't know it!

"Alright, kid, stop showing off in front of me," Aldrich said, rolling his eyes.

"Let's talk about business."

"Yes, Aldrich-sensei."

"But today—what exactly did you call me here for?" Karl asked.

"Your strength has been growing quickly lately. Your physical conditioning and magic power have both fully reached the threshold."

"You can train new magic now," Aldrich said.

"Oh?" Karl's eyes lit up. "Aldrich-sensei, are you going to teach me some high-powered magic?"

The library really did contain everything.

But many sorcerers had their own secret techniques.

Take Kaecilius, for instance.

He had that magic that turned spatial fragments into weapons—terrifyingly strong.

Even other master sorcerers couldn't withstand a single strike from him.

That was what a "signature spell" looked like.

Could it be—

Aldrich was going to give him a powerful spell like that too?

"Hmph. Nice dream."

"Unfortunately, I'm an academic-type sorcerer. I don't know any high-powered attack magic. You'll be disappointed," Aldrich said flatly.

"Then what magic are you going to teach me?" Karl asked, still eager.

"Mirror Dimension."

Aldrich spat out the words calmly.

Karl's face brightened with delight.

The Mirror Dimension?!

This was one of Kamar-Taj's most absurdly broken spells.

He had been looking forward to it for a long time.

And now Aldrich was finally going to teach it to him.

"Then let's start right away," Karl said excitedly.

This was the Mirror Dimension—

a high-level spatial spell.

Once inside that space, against certain enemies, you were basically unbeatable.

For example, against the Hulk—

as long as you threw him into the Mirror Dimension, no matter how godlike his strength was, he couldn't escape.

Without spatial abilities, facing mirror-space meant only one thing: being trapped until death.

And more than that—

if you cultivated this spell to a profound level, you could even interfere with the real world, using space to alter reality.

It would massively boost Karl's combat power.

A spell this strong, this perfect—

of course Karl was looking forward to it.

"Hmph. So you do have moments like this, kid."

"But this spell isn't easy to learn," Aldrich said.

In truth—

the Mirror Dimension was an absolutely high-tier spell.

Even in Kamar-Taj, not many sorcerers could master it.

It was only because Aldrich had some attainments in space that he had been able to grasp it.

He glanced at Karl, then continued:

"Mirror Dimension is called a type of spatial magic…"

"But it's more like a higher-level dimension."

"It's a reflection of real space."

"To learn it, you must first have absolute mastery over the Portal."

"That shouldn't be a problem for you."

"The remaining problem is distinguishing the Mirror Dimension from real space."

Aldrich said that—

then reached out and pointed in front of him.

Karl saw the space before them crack like shattered glass, splitting apart on the spot.

Karl extended his hand and could clearly feel it pass through a thin membrane.

"Feel it?" Aldrich asked.

"This is the Mirror Dimension. It's completely different from real space."

"And the key to communicating with the Mirror Dimension lies in the Sling Ring on your hand."

As he spoke, Aldrich displayed the Sling Ring on his own hand to Karl.

This was Kamar-Taj's most common—and also most exquisitely crafted—magical artifact.

It allowed you to connect with the power of space.

If you lost your Sling Ring, you would be trapped in the Mirror Dimension forever—unless your mastery of the Mirror Dimension had reached an astonishing level.

"So—can you sense the difference?" Aldrich asked.

"Don't rush. Feel it carefully."

"Most sorcerers need dozens of days before they can sense the power within it."

Karl simply nodded and focused on sensing it.

Ding!

Detected that you are learning the Mirror Dimension. God-tier Talent triggers a hundredfold critical strike.

You have mastered high-tier spatial magic—Mirror Dimension.

The system notification sounded in Karl's mind.

Karl immediately felt a mysterious sensation bloom in his heart.

As if beyond real space, there existed another layer of space.

The sensation was like there were two worlds—

identical in every way, yet separated by a thin membrane.

It felt as though Karl only needed to reach out to touch the other world.

Karl reached out.

Crack!

The space in front of him shattered like a broken mirror, erupting into countless prismatic fragments.

Space split open.

Aldrich: ?????

What the hell?!

This kid learned it already?!

Were his eyes broken?!
