Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: The Young Woman Aicia

The guard chuckled, his eyes gleaming.

The men beside him also began to smirk wickedly.

Seeing the wretched expressions of these thugs, the girl trembled with rage.

"You bastards!" the girl hissed through gritted teeth.

Observing all this, Draco shook his head silently.

He had just finished praising the Empire's system, and not even half a day later, he was being proven wrong so blatantly.

It was getting late, and Draco didn't want to be delayed here.

"Miss, if you want to enter the city, I have a way."

Draco suddenly interjected.

The girl's eyes lit up. "What way?"

"How much is the cargo in your carriage worth?"

The girl's eyes darted around as she immediately understood. She replied, "10 gold coins!"

Seeing Draco frown slightly, the girl thought she had quoted too high a price.

"If you want it, I can make it cheaper."

To her surprise, Draco simply took out 10 gold coins and tossed them to her.

The reason Draco had frowned was that he hadn't expected two carriages' worth of goods to cost only 10 gold coins.

It was too cheap.

"These belong to me now. You can enter the city."

Holding the heavy gold coins in her hand, the girl was dazed.

All these things together were worth no more than 3 gold coins, yet this person bought them without even blinking.

Could he be the foolish son of some landlord?

"Are you... sure?"

"Stop talking. I'm in a hurry."

Draco didn't bother with her anymore.

He walked up to the guard and said, "I want to enter the city."

"Where did this brat come from, ruining my fun?"

"You want to enter the city? Humph, the entry fee is 10 gold coins!"

The guard spoke arrogantly, acting as if Draco was nothing.

Draco's expression remained calm. "I'm just one person. The entry fee is 10 gold coins?"

"Hehe, for just yourself, it's only 10 copper, but with these two carriages, it's 10 gold."

The guard sneered. "Aren't you rich? 10 gold should be very cheap for you."

Draco raised an eyebrow.

Then he realized a serious problem: he didn't have any copper coins on him.

He only had one or two thousand gold coins left in his bag.

So, Draco returned to the girl.

"Do you have 10 copper coins?"

The girl was stunned, unsure of what he was trying to do.

But she still took out 10 copper coins from her bosom and handed them over.

"What are you doing?"

Draco didn't say much. He took the 10 copper coins and tossed them to the guard.

Then, with a wave of his sleeve, the two carriages vanished into thin air.

He then swaggered toward the city interior.

Seeing Draco's actions, the girl was dazed for a moment before she reacted.

"Holy crap, you can do that?!"

The guard was stunned.

Only a Mage could do something like that.

He had actually offended a Mage just now; the thought filled him with lingering fear.

If this were anywhere else, that man would definitely not have lived to see tonight's moon.

But in the Eastern Empire, Draco decided to keep a low profile, so naturally, he wouldn't lower himself to deal with such a petty person.

The girl suddenly realized that this man seemed to owe her 10 copper coins.

In the eyes of a profiteer, it wasn't just about 10 copper coins; as a qualified profiteer, how could she let herself suffer a loss?

So, she caught up with him, followed by her attendants.

"Hey, wait for me!"

Looking at the girl who had caught up, Draco frowned slightly.

"Is there anything else?"

"Pay me back!"

The girl held out her hand, looking completely justified.

"It's only 10 copper coins, is this really necessary?"

"It's not about whether it's 10 copper coins or not. Anyway, I don't care, pay me back."

"I don't have any!"

Draco rubbed the bridge of his nose; he didn't have the spare time to play games with her.

Besides, he really didn't have any copper coins to pay her back.

"If you don't pay me back, I'll just keep pestering you like this."

The girl acted completely unreasonable.

"Suit yourself."

Draco shrugged his shoulders and turned to walk away.

To his surprise, the girl paid her hired hands and dismissed them on the spot.

Then, she really did stick to Draco's heels like a shadow.

Actually, the girl was mainly curious about what this landlord's foolish son was up to. Since her goods were sold anyway, she had nothing better to do.

"Hey, what's your name?"

The girl asked, her voice full of interest.

It was better not to reveal his real name while traveling, so Draco gave a random name.

"Li Feiyu."

"Eh, what a strange name."

"My name is Aicia. Thanks for earlier."

"But business is business; you still have to pay back those 10 copper coins."

Draco shook his head; this Aicia really was relentless.

Ignoring her, Draco observed the city's surroundings.

The architectural style of this city was very unique, with a strong flavor of Eastern elements.

Furthermore, the Eastern Empire was a nation where technology and magic coexisted.

As a result, there were many unexpected things in the city, such as automatic doors, elevators, and display screens.

These were all products of the combination of magic and technology.

At this moment, the girl also noticed Draco's actions. "Have you never seen these things before?"

Draco nodded slightly. "I've seen them, just not in this world."

Aicia was stunned. "Are you an Otherworlder Summoner?"

"Something like that."

"Then tell me quickly, what is your world like? I've never met an Otherworlder before."

Aicia was clearly very interested in this, chirping away with non-stop questions.

Draco was annoyed to death by her, so he said,

"In our world, there are seven Righteous Sects and six Demonic Cults."

"Everyone has the ability to fly through the sky and burrow through the earth, but the righteous and demonic factions have been at war for years..."

An epic legendary world was eloquently narrated by Draco.

Aicia listened with great interest, her blood boiling with excitement.

Draco's description made her feel as if she were right there, experiencing it firsthand.

Before they knew it, the two arrived in front of a tavern.

"Alright, if you want to know what happens next, I'll tell you if fate allows."

Leaving those words behind, Draco walked into the tavern.

The tavern's decor was exquisite, with various artworks hanging on the walls, and the staff wore sexy clothing.

It was clearly a very "legitimate" tavern.

Aicia looked at the tavern's sign: Peach Blossom Tavern.

Her small face turned slightly red.

But deeply attracted by Draco's story, she only hesitated for a moment before following him inside.

"Welcome!"

The hostesses in uniforms greeted them politely.

But seeing that the newcomer was a woman, they were all stunned.

Could she be here for a job interview?

Aicia ignored them and walked straight toward Draco.
