Chapter 7 - Part6:IF Route Unlocked: Battle of Mount Aozang

Mount Aozang, the most mysterious and beautiful mountain range in Liyue, shrouded in mist and swirling with spiritual energy, is like a realm of immortals. At its peak, figures of adepti often wander as freely as clouds and cranes, guarding the peace of these mountains and Liyue itself. Today, however, Mount Aozang is cloaked in a grim, murderous aura, shattering its usual serenity.

Lü Bu, holding the Sky-Sundering Halberd, with his Red Hare neighing restlessly beneath him, appeared abruptly amid the mountains of this foreign world. Arrogant and unruly by nature, Lü Bu felt not the slightest fear at the strange yet magnificent sight before him. Instead, an even fiercer desire for conquest welled up within him. In his eyes, everything in this unfamiliar land was nothing but a stepping stone for him to make a name for himself.

Xianyun, an adeptus of Liyue, had long secluded himself on Mount Aozang, protecting the mountain's spiritual veins and this pure land. He was the first to sense Lü Bu's alien presence, and so he rode the clouds to investigate. There stood Lü Bu, clad in heavy armor, imposing and majestic, exuding an overbearing power that did not belong to this world.

"Who goes there? Why do you trespass upon Mount Aozang of Liyue!" Xianyun's voice boomed like a great bell, echoing through the valleys.

Lü Bu threw back his head and laughed, his voice dripping with disdain. "I am Lü Bu, courtesy name Fengxian. Is there any place under heaven I cannot go? Be gone, old fool, and mind your own business!" With that, he swung his Sky-Sundering Halberd, and a sharp, piercing blade of energy shot toward Xianyun.

Xianyun's expression hardened. With a flick of his horsetail whisk, gentle yet unyielding adeptal energy neutralized the strike. He grew wary inwardly—this sudden intruder possessed terrifying strength. The two clashed in a flurry of blows. Lü Bu's peerless martial prowess and fearless ferocity unleashed a storm-like assault; Xianyun, relying on profound adeptal power and exquisite arts, countered with grace and precision. For a time, the peak of Mount Aozang darkened, the air filled with the glow of spells and the clashing of weapons.

Meanwhile, Shenhe, who cultivated on Mount Aozang, sensed the violent turmoil at the summit. Gripping her polearm, she rushed over at once. Taken in by the adepti at a young age, Shenhe possessed a special constitution and formidable combat ability. Seeing Lü Bu locked in battle with Xianyun, she joined the fray without hesitation.

Shenhe's polearm struck like a viper lunging from its den, aiming straight for Lü Bu's vital points. Sensing the threat, Lü Bu sidestepped and evaded the sharp strike effortlessly, then countered with a horizontal swing of his halberd. Shenhe moved nimbly, blocking with her polearm shaft; the deafening clang of metal rang out. Seeing Shenhe's arrival, Xianyun's spirit rose, and the two fought in tandem, trying to force Lü Bu back.

Yet Lü Bu showed no fear. The Red Hare galloped freely across the mountains, and alone on his steed, he held his ground even against the combined assault of Xianyun and Shenhe. He wielded the Sky-Sundering Halberd with fearsome speed, each swing unleashing a gale that sliced through rocks and trees alike.

Elsewhere, Ganyu, attending to matters in Liyue Harbor, also sensed the crisis on Mount Aozang. A half-adeptus, she wielded great power over Hydro. Immediately, she unleashed adeptal arts and hurried to Mount Aozang.

By the time Ganyu arrived, Mount Aozang lay in ruins. Lü Bu stood at the center of the battlefield like a demon god. Though Xianyun and Shenhe fought desperately, they were gradually worn down. Ganyu formed hand seals, and Hydro rapidly converged, sending shards of ice flying toward Lü Bu like arrows.

Lü Bu detected the fierce Hydro assault and did not underestimate it. He whirled his halberd at high speed, forming a defensive barrier that deflected the ice shards one by one. But Ganyu's attacks were unrelenting. Hydro coalesced into a massive water dragon that roared toward him.

With a mighty shout, Lü Bu urged his mount forward, raising the Sky-Sundering Halberd high as its tip blazed with dazzling light. As a mere mortal, he charged directly into the water dragon. In a violent collision, the dragon was torn apart by his overwhelming strength, water splashing in all directions.

Xianyun, Shenhe, and Ganyu stared in shock. Never had they faced a foe so powerful and fearless. Yet the three did not retreat. Joining forces once more, they launched their final attack. Xianyun wove adeptal arts, turning the surrounding spiritual energy into countless blades that struck Lü Bu from all sides. Shenhe whirled her polearm, creating a storm of strikes that sealed off every escape route. Ganyu poured all her power into Hydro, forming a massive water prison around Lü Bu in an attempt to trap him.

But Lü Bu remained unyielding. He let out a long, wild howl, his aura surging to its peak. The Red Hare neighed and reared up. Lü Bu swung his halberd with indomitable resolve, smashing straight through their combined assault. A blade of energy sliced out; Xianyun failed to dodge in time, struck fatally, and dissipated in a stream of light.

Shenhe and Ganyu were overcome with grief, but Lü Bu was already blinded by bloodlust. He charged toward them once more. Shenhe threw caution to the wind and fought desperately to hold him off, yet she gradually faltered before his overwhelming power. In the end, Lü Bu's Sky-Sundering Halberd pierced through her body, and Shenhen fell, her eyes filled with unwillingness.

Ganyu watched her companions fall, her heart consumed by despair and rage. She poured her last strength into a mighty Hydro shield, making her final stand. But Lü Bu was unstoppable. He swung his halberd and slammed it heavily into the shield. With a deafening crash, the shield shattered, and Ganyu collapsed into a pool of blood.

The storm over Mount Aozang gradually calmed. Lü Bu stood atop the devastated battlefield, halberd in hand, his eyes blazing with fanatical light. Here, on Mount Aozang of this strange world, he alone had slain the adepti Xianyun, Shenhe, and Ganyu, leaving behind a bloody and awe-inspiring legend. And his journey had only just begun. Across this unfamiliar world, countless challenges awaited him.

The conditions for the IF route appeared to be fully met. And so Lü Bu recruited armies and allied with the Fatui to stand against the entirety of Teyvat. What comes next remains to be seen—stay tuned!
