Chapter 27 - First Star

It wouldn't take long for Argus to finally condense the first star within his meridian-core, the power, the might of an extreme source of energy now at his beck and call as the purple mass of heat now starts producing an auspicious glow that tints the walls of the core a bit of its purplish color, faint traces of gold dancing along the surface of the mass of energy as it starts doing what it excels the most.

In some modern, scientific worlds, what is currently happening within the young man's body is something that will baffle their most brilliant minds, because it is because of one concept that all scientifically-oriented civilizations will hold true.

Mass, at the same time, energy, can neither be destroyed nor created; it can only be transposed, converted into a different form that one may or may not perceive, depending on the scale of change.

But right now, without rhyme or logic, through the mystical property that is cultivation, the star within the young man's body starts producing spirit energy without taking away from his surroundings, without taking away from himself, almost as if this power is being drawn out by the star from the void itself, making it make all the less sense.

Having a full grasp of this technique, however, the creator himself doesn't concern himself all too much about these thoughts, and right now, he would rather focus more on the results of his effort, a result promising enough that it warrants a wide smile from his face.

"Amazing… It's much more than my expectations…"

The strength, augmented, improving not only by the maximum amount one can harvest from cultivating this scripture, but even beyond that, as from the already staggering ninety times improvement of his previous strength, what he truly acquired is a complete hundred-fold elevation of his very being.

His energy is hitting an all-time high, his brute strength far surpassing perhaps even a Spirit Tempering Realm Cultivator's strength, and his senses are expanding so much that it almost seems like just a little bit more, and he will be able to sense the entirety of the capital even if he doesn't move in his position.

It is important to note that by its radius, considering only the territory within its walls, the capital expands by dozens of kilometers in all directions, meaning that as a Body Refining Realm Cultivator, the young man already has senses that easily rival cultivators even beyond the Foundation Building Realm.

And using this powerful sense, he starts feeling the spirit energy being produced by the first star in his meridian-core, his mind couldn't help but praise as he clenched his fist, this action alone causing gust to surge from his hand once again, but this time, gone were the easily dispersed wind as everything around him was blown towards the wall as if they weigh nothing at all.

"I should probably start adjusting to get used to my current strength."

He mutters to himself as he decides to leave the cleaning up for later once again, this time moving to the courtyard without even realizing that he had gone for far too long without coming out of his room, making the old war veteran, his father, along with his aide, worry a bit for his safety and health.

Fortunately for these two, it won't take long for them to realize that he is already out of closed door training as right now, in such a fine morning, it is not the father and son that is sparring in the courtyard, but rather, the master of the house and his closes aide, the aide using a rapier that swiftly pierces through the master's defenses, only for those thrusts and swings to be parried by the unbelievably graceful dexterity of the Sword Dragon's massive physique.

'Was it trans-human despair? That bulking physique of the old man is moving with such finesse that it made his opponent in the battlefield feel a sense of extreme dread… even for a cultivator's standard, his martial genius is really absurd.'

Watching the fight between the two veterans, Argus couldn't help but admire the prowess of the two. The aide, Alaric, albeit paling in comparison to his father, can still be considered a talent even for his standard, given that he can still stand on an equal ground against his father's sword.

With such intent observation, it wouldn't take long for the two fighters in the courtyard to feel the piercing gaze seemingly analyzing their every move, forcing them to pause in order to look in the direction of this sharp, powerful gaze.

"Looks like you're done with your meditation, boy, you've taken quite some time."

Recovering from the shock of feeling something dangerous, like a sword sheathed ready to be drawn any moment, from his own son, Arthur greeted with a burning fighting intent in his eyes, almost as if a warrior who had finally found a worthy opponent after a long, long time of search, the hand holding the sword couldn't help but clench even tighter than before as he sets his mind into the idea of dueling with his son right here, right now.

"Well, I've got good gains, so I think missing a day of duel isn't too bad, right, old man?"

Smiling as he saw the intent clearly bursting out of his father's gaze, the young man couldn't help but shake his head as he also proceeded to pick a sword from a nearby rack, nodding to himself as he felt like this should be good enough to hold a bit of a battle against his father.

Hearing the words of the young man, the two older men couldn't help but look at each other in quite a baffled expression before the two of them cracked, exploding into an amused laughter that made the young man confused initially, taking some moments before he realized what they were laughing about.

"How long was I meditating?"

"Young Master, you've been in your room for four entire days, we thought you were in some realization, so we never bothered you, but who knows you're in such a deep state of focus… haha, I don't know why, but this is amusing… hahaha."

As his father's aide explained, the young man couldn't help but shake his head as he just waits for the two older men to calm down, taking quite some moment as it truly seems like they are all too amused with the words he said, making him shake his head as he wonders why is it that he never developed such shallow sense of humor even when he has far greater years of experienced even compared to the two of them combined.

"How about it, still up for a duel?"

After a good amount of time of laughter, Argus finally asked his father, the Sword Dragon immediately nodded as he started looking forward to the improvements his son achieved through these few days of possibly a great enlightenment.

"Make sure not hold back, boy."

The father said as he waved to his aide as if making him stand to the side, the aide bowing as he not only obeys the command, but also went beyond, completely vacating the premises, allowing the two to enjoy their moment as father and son.
