The Kyrios Empire, being one of the most prominent forces within the continent, or perhaps even the world, is of course, one that is governed with absolute power and authority, a nation that is, while aristocratic by nature, is also a nation that puts heavy emphasis on meritocracy, giving high value to individual who highly value their work.
Perhaps this reason is exactly why guards and personnel related to safety work quite hard, enough for Argus to find great peace even if he walks all alone in the road back to the Draconia Manor without any concern for his safety at all.
One might wonder and think that this is just because this is the third level of the capital, and this is where the nobles, people who need to keep their image the most, resides, hence the environment of peace is completely maintained, but no, as even if it is in the second, or first layer, even outside the grand gates of the capital where people looking for opportunity resides, are places peaceful not only because of the contribution of the empire's personnels, but also through the compliance of the common people as well.
Of course, while it might tilt more to the side of a great, peaceful place than a chaotic one, human nature at its core still has this innate desire for dominance not only over other species but also over other human as well, this applies not only to nobles to other nobles or commoners, but even to commoners to fellow commoners as well, hence the reason why there are still cases and incidence of crimes even in this very capital every now and then.
This peace is also one of the major reasons as to why not only this young man, a former Grand Dao Sage, but also peers of the same age as his current body, noble children who's future practically guarantees them as upcoming pillars of the empire, is allowed to roam around as much as they want so long as within the domain of the Kyrios Empire's capital itself.
A couple among these roaming groups were exploring close enough to Argus' vicinity to the point that some of their members even recognizes the face even from afar, and yet despite that, they decided to avoid him out of disdain, their minds plagued with the idea planted by the rumors that this young man is nothing but a false dragon fortunate enough to be born to such a great family, but not fortunate enough to be blessed by the family's great talent.
It is only natural that thoughts vary from person to person, and in fact, there are some groups that want to approach the young man as well, if only for a possible connection with the Sword Dragon, and that alone.
Hence the trip back to the Draconia Manor ends up with no encounters for the returned sage, his senses making it so that he is fully aware of the movement of the group of peers near his area, as well as the fact that those who pay enough attention to strike a conversation with him are just merely showing themselves for the sake of trying their chance to be connected with the son of the Ever-Burning Sword Dragon and not to form a connection purely with him alone.
'Doesn't matter though… no, in fact, this is great…'
Still, it doesn't really concern him, and in fact, he feels like this is a boon as well, and the reason for that is something that only he knows, something that he smiles about and mutters that next moment as he enters the premises of the Draconia Manor.
"After all, I can practically filter out those who are just here for the benefits…"
He said as he recalled the faces of those other aspiring students he previously met, making note in his mind who he could put at least a basic amount of trust into in the future and those he could not.
Taking just a little while to sort his thoughts, he now found himself in front of his room, the corridor of the manor still charred from the fight between him and his father, the wooden door also blackened from the explosion but still keeping its structural integrity to the point that the damage appears to be nothing but something inflicted on the surface, not anything serious at all.
As he sat down on the comfortable bed, he then eventually lay down his entire body, staring into nothingness, his gaze as if piercing through the ceiling and going beyond, not on the floor above it, but rather, somewhere substantially different from this place.
And almost as if to go with his gaze peering beyond what is seen by the eyes, his body starts getting overwhelmed by a relaxing sensation as well, this happening all while both Nine Stellar Palace Scripture and his improved version of Pure Heaven True Circulation Art starts cycling spirit energy all across his body, the initial success in his practice of augmented circulation allowing the two completely different cultivation manuals to harmonize themselves with extreme ease, almost as if they are mere parts of the same cultivation art originally.
If a cultivator were to see Argus' current state, there are two things, and only these two things that can happen to the completely defenseless young man, the first, being cultivators gritting their teeth in jealousy but acting like civilize people, only watching from afar, and the second, jealous cultivators stopping at nothing to render this opportunity useless, perhaps even resorting to killing the one who obtained this opportunity.
This is because, unknowingly, the once-greatest sage entered a pure state of cultivation, something that goes way beyond just being entranced in the act of cultivation itself, a grace that not only allows improvement of one's cultivation speed, but also grants enlightenment to one's techniques and cultivation arts as well.
Time passes with the young man completely oblivious to the changes happening within his surroundings, the hours quickly passing by with him doing nothing but muttering word after word under his breath, all while his senses expand not only in range but also in depth, allowing him to perceive things that his current self can never see before.
The specks of light flickering in the air being dragged towards him start getting brighter, clearer than before, the spirit energy being absorbed from the outside to his body being refined faster than ever before, almost as if the impurities that need to be expelled are already identified even before it enters his body.
As this process continues, one can only notice the sudden blow of the wind again, as the movement of the corporeal spirit energy, due to its great magnitude, starts affecting the physical world as well, constantly flowing towards the great center of this swirling mass of energy located within the Draconia Manor, Argus, who is now aware of his current situation but is unaware of what is happening outside his own body, now only focused on getting the most out of this opportune moment.
Without fail, without waiting for anyone, time continues to pass by, yet another day passes for everyone, yet another peaceful night for the entire capital, and yet even then, wind continues to gently blow, as if pushing forward the events that are about to come.
