Chapter 47 - An Odd Person

"Listen Yuandao, there are myriads of different things in the firmament…"

Cracking a smile as she taught this interesting kid his first lesson as her student, a demure beauty giving off a vibe of someone both scholarly as well as experienced and knowledgeable to the workings of life, said while playing around with a ball of water in the air, nodding as she smiles in admiration seeing not only just how fast he picks up things, but how dedicated he is to cultivation as well.

'Such a pity he started cultivating too late…'

She mutters to herself before realizing that she shouldn't think about it like that, forcing her to shake her head as she shoves those thoughts to the back of her mind before she composes herself, continuing with the lesson once again.

"And just as much as there are things that one can and cannot see in their lifetimes, there are as many forms spirit energy can take… for one, the water spirit energy that this lady's cultivation art is refining, the flame spirit energy that the descendant of the Flame Heaven Sect you beat up uses, the other elemental spirit energy and even special type of spirit energy as well, there are far more than you can conceive…'

After those words came out of her mouth, she pauses, smiling as she clenches her dainty hand into a tight fist, the water on top of it shrinking from a ball the size of a head all the way to a near singular point the size of dust in the air, before gently flicking it towards the distance, piercing several trees before finally coming to a stop.

"Those special spirit energy… they might appear stronger than most at first glance but see, it's the mastery of the wielder that makes the weapon excel, my dear student… so don't concern yourself too much with the nature of your spirit energy, take your time to master what you are the best at rather than concerning yourself with what you can't do…"

The lady's scholarly nature displays itself all the more as she gives the young man his lesson, her words something that made the young man ponder deeply about things, especially when he heard the next words coming out of her mouth.

"After all, even if you're only walking a single path, at the end of it, at the peak of the mountains, you can see what every single path has to offer… though you need to reach that peak in order to do that, fufufu~~~"

The lady said in an amused tone as she watches the young man continue cultivating, that amusement turning into interest as she watches him not losing focus as he continues, the air swirling around him as he starts absorbing energy making her mesmerized, as if she's looking at a great dance, a beautiful smile revealing itself on her gorgeous face as she mutters in wonder.

"That old madman, just what sort of absurdity did he brought up this time?"

The cultivation continues as usual, those words being recalled as the once greatest sage comes into contact with such a unique spirit energy after a long while, the speculation of that spirit energy being of wood element long gone in his mind as the effects it is showing in his body is far greater than even the purest wood elemental spirit energy can do.

As that refreshing sensation spreads throughout his body, the young man, Argus, couldn't help but notice the significant increase in the speed his body is being tempered, not directly through the help of that refreshing energy, but rather due to said energy increasing his regeneration and recovery, allowing the violent circulation of the Nine Stellar Palace Scripture to temper his body even more, the repetitive cycle of regeneration and destruction accelerating even more.

'For a moment, I thought it was wood elemental spirit energy but this amount of recovery shouldn't be possible for it alone… just what sort of spirit energy is this?'

As he watches the improvement happening within his body, Argus couldn't help but smile as he thought of how fortunate of an encounter this tree is for him, his knowledge of how the world of cultivation works allowing him to easily deduce the fact that had it not been for the fact that there's no cultivators, other than him, in this world, there will be wars waged for the possession of this mystical tree.

Shoving stray thoughts to the back of his mind, he continues to take his time making use of the exchange between himself and this tree, pushing his cultivation even further, taking in both the tree's spirit energy and the spirit energy around them, his body, along with the fourth star gradually starting to form continuously improving as time goes by, his focus and attention on cultivation only being snuffed out as he felt quite the gaze focused on him and him alone.

And as he opens his eyes, his face couldn't help but twitch a little as he saw a young man of his age standing in front of him, the gaze said young man is giving off being something that looks like it could see beyond what the eyes normally can, as if said eyes are staring into one's very soul.

Despite this however, Argus shows no signs of panic nor discomfort facing this young man, leisurely standing up as he dusts himself off the leaves and grass that possibly sticked to him when he meditated previously.

And as he stands up, it can easily be seen just how developed his body is compared to the people of the same age, that sculpted physique, not as explosive as his father, the Sword Dragon's but a masculine, powerful one nevertheless, overshadowing even this young man with soul-piercing gaze, despite already being among the top ones among their peers.

"Is there any business you have with me?"

Meeting the gaze of this young man, Argus asked with a neutral tone, trying to get a feel of what this young man wants, the two of them standing in front of each other a sight that pulls a lot of attention towards them, after all, even without their status that makes almost anyone else's pale in comparison, their physique and stature alone made them quite the tool to grab anyone's attention.

Argus merely waits with calmness for the young man's answer that is in fact, already unnecessary to him, as during his past life, he already knows full well who this young man is, and what sort of character he is.

"You… you're odd, like me… I want that, let's be friends…"

As the other young man opens his mouth, a solid, manly voice with an experienced feel to it resounded, those words that he said reaching everyone's ears as they pay attention to the two, the eyes that seems to peer through even the soul not taking themselves off the son of the Sword Dragon in front of them, making that young man smile as he recalls how similar things goes with this person during his past life, the only difference now being the fact that the two of them met during an earlier circumstances compared to the past.
