Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Kushina's Arrival

Compared to other A-rank Jutsus, the training difficulty for Rasengan was actually much higher.

If Ninjutsu were a math problem, then forming hand seals would be like calculating on scratch paper—you just need to follow the steps to derive the answer.

Training for the Rasengan was equivalent to throwing away the scratch paper and getting the answer directly through mental arithmetic.

As for adding Nature Transformation to the Rasengan, that was like interdisciplinary fusion, and it still required mental arithmetic. It was simply not something an ordinary person could do.

It is worth mentioning that although the training method for Rasengan was difficult, the principle was very simple.

To put it bluntly, it was spinning a ball—literally spinning a ball!

You could view it as a math problem with a simple concept but requiring complex mental calculation, which was exactly the opposite of those Jutsus that relied on hand seals.

Jutsus like Flying Raijin (Flying Thunder God) and Living Corpse Reincarnation were like Qian Xuesen's manuscripts. Even if they were placed right in front of you, if you didn't understand them, you didn't understand them; if you couldn't learn them, you couldn't learn them.

Advanced Jutsus like Rasengan and Tailed Beast Bombs were like manufacturing an atomic bomb. The principle wasn't overly complicated, but the actual manufacturing was extremely difficult.

Kakashi evaluated Rasengan as "the pinnacle of Chakra Shape Transformation," and this was definitely not an exaggeration.

Nawaki mastered tree climbing within two hours, which showed that his talent for chakra control wasn't bad, and he should meet the conditions for Rasengan training.

Watching Nawaki stumble across the pond, Minato smiled knowingly and turned to the kitchen to prepare lunch.

Water walking was an advanced technique of tree climbing. Compared to tree climbing, it only added one step of real-time chakra adjustment. Assuming he had mastered tree climbing, he should be able to master it after a few more attempts.

Sure enough, before Minato finished cooking, Nawaki's cheers came from the yard.

"Success!"

"Go increase the difficulty for him."

Minato said without looking back. A clone chopping vegetables beside him turned and walked out of the house.

"Minato! Look! I did it!"

In the small pond in the yard, Nawaki stood steadily on the water surface. Seeing the clone arrive, he greeted excitedly.

Seeing this, the clone nodded, a smile on his lips. "The main body asked me to increase the difficulty for you."

Saying this, he squatted down and pressed one hand on the water surface. Instantly, turbulent waves surged up!

"Woah—"

The waves rolled, and the chakra under Nawaki's feet instantly lost balance. With a splash, he fell into the water.

"When you can walk freely on the waves, you can start Rasengan training," the clone said with a smile.

"Damn it... I was just careless! Just you wait, I'll master it for you right now!"

Nawaki climbed up, wiped the water off his face, and tried to stand on the water again.

It wasn't until Minato finished lunch that Nawaki could barely stand firm in the waves, although moving was still a bit difficult.

"Time to eat."

Minato held the dishes and called out to the yard.

Hearing this, Nawaki rushed into the house like a whirlwind, changed out of his wet clothes, sat at the table, and started wolfing down food.

After eating, he rushed back into the yard to continue training water walking.

Soon, another two hours passed.

Nawaki walked leisurely on the water surface. No matter how the waves surged under his feet, they couldn't affect him at all.

"Success..."

Nawaki couldn't hide the excitement in his tone, feeling a sense of "sweetness after bitterness."

"Congratulations, you can start Rasengan training now."

The clone said with a smile, then disappeared with a poof.

At the same time, Minato was in his room silently memorizing the hand seals for Earth Style Jutsus. After receiving the clone's memory, he got up and walked out of the room.

As soon as he came to the yard, he saw Nawaki sitting on the veranda, gently rubbing his ankle, wincing and sucking in cold air.

"Hiss—it hurts!"

"Chakra overexertion."

Minato chuckled. "It's not a big problem, but to prevent any lasting effects, let's go to the hospital to check it out. Sensei should be at the hospital right now."

Recently, the border with the Land of Rain hadn't been peaceful. Every now and then, wounded people were sent back, leading to a shortage of hands at the hospital.

Tsunade's official ninja assignment wasn't at the hospital, but due to her outstanding medical skills, she was often asked to help out.

Interestingly, because of this relationship, plus her status as the First Hokage's granddaughter and her beauty, her authority in the hospital was even greater than the director's.

"It's okay. I'll just let Sis take a look when she gets home."

Nawaki sounded urgent. "Let's start Rasengan training quickly!"

Minato shook his head. "Then we have to go out even more. We need to buy some auxiliary training props for you."

"Alright..."

Nawaki looked less enthusiastic.

He changed into clean clothes. Just as the two went out, they saw Tsunade walking towards the house with a red-haired girl.

"Sis!"

Nawaki waved to Tsunade.

Minato's gaze fell on the girl beside Tsunade.

The girl had red hair, bright and vivid as fire. Her baby-fat face looked round, and a pair of large, dark, bright eyes looked very spirited.

"Where are you guys going?" seeing the two going out, Tsunade asked.

"Nawaki overtrained water walking, and the meridians in his ankle are stinging a bit. I was planning to take him to the hospital to find you, Sensei," Minato said.

"Oh?"

Hearing this, Tsunade squatted down, reached out, and squeezed Nawaki's ankle. Soon she stood up again. "Not a big problem. It'll be fine after a sleep."

"But I didn't expect Nawaki to have already trained up to water walking? Did Minato teach you? How's the progress? Did you learn it?"

"Of course!"

Nawaki crossed his arms and lifted his chin proudly. "I can already walk freely in the waves!"

Hearing this, Tsunade smiled and rubbed Nawaki's head. "Is that so? Amazing!"

Nawaki turned his head away in embarrassment, not letting Tsunade touch his head. "Don't treat me like a child!"

"But you are obviously a child~"

Tsunade chuckled lightly, then placed her hand gently on the shoulder of the girl beside her.

"By the way, let me introduce you. This is the child I mentioned before who will stay at our house for a while. Her name is Kushina Uzumaki."

"H-Hello."

Kushina spoke nervously, hiding a trace of unease in her eyes.

"Oh! Hello! I'm Nawaki! I'm Sis's younger brother! Nice to meet you!"

Nawaki gave a thumbs-up, grinned, and spoke enthusiastically.

"Hello, I'm Minato Namikaze, Sensei Tsunade's disciple. Nice to meet you."

Minato's gentle smile alleviated Kushina's nervousness slightly.

That's more like it...

What kind of decent person introduces themselves as "Sis's younger brother"?

This blondie seems pretty normal, just looks a bit girly, lacking manliness...

Kushina muttered in her heart.

Although she was uneasy as a newcomer, she actually had quite a lively... or even spicy personality.

Seeing that the atmosphere of the first meeting was harmonious, Tsunade looked at Minato with a smile. "Great! To celebrate Kushina's arrival, let's make dinner a bit more lavish!"

Minato nodded with a smile. "Okay, leave it to me."

Hearing this, Kushina's expression froze slightly.

Eh?

What's with this family?

Why is a child cooking?

Did the village sell me out?
