"That just proves you were born lucky."
Jane Sterling chuckled softly and didn't deny it.
"You're right. It really all comes down to the luck of the draw when you're born. I have no idea what good deeds I must have done in my past life to be born into such a rich and powerful family."
Upon hearing this, Bianca's eyes flickered for a moment.
"It must have been an incredible good deed. The kind that benefits all of mankind."
Jane Sterling smiled.
"Or maybe my last life was so miserable that the heavens gave me this one as compensation to make it up to me."
A long moment passed, but there was no response from Bianca.
Jane Sterling fell silent. 'Bianca looks like a child and has the temper of one, too, though he'd never admit it. He gets angry one moment and happy the next. Well, I've certainly seen that for myself now.'
Carrying a small shovel, Jane Sterling walked through the garden. Suddenly, a blue hydrangea caught her eye, gleaming in a patch of grass.
