Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Charade

Bonaparte, the last remaining member of Seto's gang, lay in a dire predicament

His arms, legs—his entire body—were pinned to the ground, as though the earth itself had risen up to drag him into its depths. Gasping, he raised his eyes toward Luna and asked in disbelief, "Is this your doing? Are you the one pinning me down like this?"

"Yes," Luna replied calmly, still seated atop Seto's desk, her tone casual. "I used the power of my Air Stone. It allows me to manipulate air pressure within my surroundings. So, when you got too close, I simply increased the pressure above your body and forced it downward. Now you can't move."

Bonaparte suddenly heard a familiar voice behind him. It was Yuna.

"He's not as dumb as we thought," she said dryly.

He couldn't see her, but her presence was unmistakable. She had freed herself and rejoined her twin. Dread crawled up his spine.

Bonaparte spoke again, his voice low and filled with desperation. "What kind of magic is this?"

Yuna answered coldly, "We are heirs of the wonder stones. That means we possess supernatural powers."

"You're joking," he muttered in disbelief. "You're toying with me."

"Believe what you want," she replied. "We don't need your validation."

"Damn you, you cursed witches!" he spat.

Luna, unfazed, kicked Bonaparte face with a disgusted grunt. "Shut up."

"For the last time," Yuna said sternly, "we're not witches. We're heirs of the wonder stones —and we're the ones who are going to end you."

Bonaparte whimpered, "Please… have mercy. I have a wife and a child..."

"Are you serious right now?" Luna asked, raising a brow.

"Yes!" he pleaded. "I swear it! I have a w—"

"I'm not talking about Serena and Joe," she cut in sharply.

Bonaparte froze. "How do you know my wife and son's names?"

Yuna stepped forward, her expression unreadable. "You weren't the only ones gathering intel. We've been watching you, too—your residence, your family, your workplace... everything."

"You… you knew from the start that we were planning to kidnap you?"

"We did," Yuna confirmed. "And we also knew the police wouldn't help. Your gang has them in your pocket."

Bonaparte's eyes widened. "You surprised me. I didn't expect that."

Luna's gaze darkened. "But you still haven't answered me. Were you being honest when you begged us to spare you… for your family's sake?"

"Yes," he said, his voice trembling. "I don't want to leave them alone..."

Luna stepped over Seto's broken body and looked Bonaparte directly in the eyes. Her irises flared with an ominous light, and her voice dropped into something cold and sharp.

"Do you remember the people you killed?" she asked.

"I..."

"They had names, Families. Friends. Dreams. Lives. Just like you. But you—selfishly and without remorse—tore them away from all of it. You don't want to die and leave your loved ones in mourning but you had no problem doing that to others. You're a hypocrite."

She finished her words and slammed her boot into his face—again and again. Bonaparte groaned, the sting of her truth hitting harder than her kicks. For the first time, guilt began to creep in.

She pointed his gun at his face, her voice icy. "Any last words?"

"Go to hell," he spat.

She smirked. "Go to it by yourself "

And with that, she pulled the trigger.

Bonaparte's head dropped lifelessly to the side.

Yuna walked up beside her, brushing dust from her clothes. "Sorry I left you to handle them alone."

Luna shrugged. "They were weak. I didn't need help."

"Yeah," Yuna smiled faintly. "I figured."

---

Two weeks earlier...

Yuna and Luna sat in their living room, deep in conversation.

"Did you notice that black car that's been following us?" Yuna asked.

"Yeah," Luna replied. "I think someone's planning to kidnap us."

"I think it's more than that," Yuna said seriously.

"What do you mean?"

"If it were just a kidnapping, the surveillance would've lasted a week at most. But this car has been tailing us for three weeks straight."

"So you're saying...?"

"Someone suspects we're heirs of the wonder Stones. They're either trying to confirm it… or capture us."

"Then let's dig. We'll gather intel and find out exactly who's behind this."

They devised a plan whenever they took selfies on campus, they subtly photographed the car. With the help of a police contact named Liam, they traced the license plate and uncovered the truth.

The men in the car were part of the most dangerous gang in the country ( The Red Hands ) The name alone sent chills.

Later, at home, the twins spoke again.

"Liam said the Red Hands' crimes get covered up by the police because of bribes," Yuna explained. "So we can't count on them."

"No problem," Luna replied. "We'll take care of them ourselves—with our stones."

"But if we defeat them," Yuna added thoughtfully, "won't that raise suspicion? People—and the authorities—will start asking how we managed to take down such a powerful gang."

"Damn. I didn't think of that."

"Then we need to contact Merrick and the rest of the team."

"Yeah, that's our best bet."

---

Merrick, Clara, Sonny and Salvador—fellow wonder Stone heirs—were part of the twins' inner circle, known as Team ( Kaos )

They often met in a quiet café owned by Merrick, where they discussed the supernatural secrets of their powers.

Merrick, a twenty-five-year-old young man, had snow-white hair and uniquely hazel eyes that seemed to hold a quiet, mysterious light , sat sipping coffee when the café bell rang. Yuna and Luna entered one after the other.

"good Morning, Merrick," Yuna said.

"Hey there," Luna added.

"Luna, Yuna Ribwan," Merrick greeted them. "Please tell me you didn't bring me here just for coffee."

"Of course not. We've got more important news."

"I'm listening."

They explained everything.

"I know that gang," Merrick said gravely. "They're made up of one leader, a deputy, and four ranked commanders. I've even read reports on Seto—he's famous, even though he's just a fourth-rank leader."

"How do you know that?" Luna asked.

"Military police reports. His name pops up frequently."

"We don't care how dangerous he is , We're the heirs of the legendary Tominako Reed. We can crush him in two seconds flat—but we're keeping it low-profile."

"Then make it look like someone else attacked you," Merrick advised. "Wound yourselves. Make it seem like you were victims too."

"What?" Luna blinked.

"You need to appear helpless. That way, no one questions how Seto's squad got wiped out."

Yuna nodded. "That's actually a solid plan."

"And make sure there are no witnesses when you use your powers. If there are cameras, disable them."

"We will. You update the team."

---

After the kidnapping, Yuna activated her electric powers to short-circuit all surveillance in Seto's hideout. That sudden energy is what caused Maro's mysterious pain—he was carrying her when she released her powers.

---

Back in the present...

With the gang defeated, Yuna and Luna returned to the room where Yuna had been held. There, they began hitting each other—not out of anger but playfully, laughing like maniacs as they tumbled to the ground.

Eventually, they lay side by side, feigning exhaustion and pain. When the police finally arrived, they found two terrified, battered victims.

The official report of the police said

" Revenge attack by a rival gang on the red hands gang and there were Two girls kidnapped and beaten. Found alive in the place where that happened and The two were taken to the hospital "
