Max is an ordinary high school student who once believed in magic—until reality and constant ridicule forced him to abandon those dreams.

But everything changes when, on his way home from school, he is suddenly pulled into a mysterious black portal and thrown into an unknown world—a realm where magic is real, and survival is not guaranteed.

Guided by a system known as Proto3574 (Rob), Max is given a chance to grow stronger through quests, stats, and abilities like any other being in this world.

However, something is… wrong.

When faced with his first life-threatening encounter, Max discovers that he cannot use magic at all.

The system identifies him as something that should not exist:

“Nullborn.”

A being with no mana, no magical affinity—and no record within the system itself.

"What do you mean it doesn't exist?! You're supposed to know everything right?!"


"So…I'm something abonormal then?" I spoke my voice low


The wind brushed past me, but it felt colder. 


"Then what am I supposed to do now…?"


I looked down at my hands. They looked normal, nothing different.


The forest was filled with a faint golden glow. 


Tiny particles of light drifted through the air, like firelfies in broad daylight


I reached out slowly, something I haven't notice before. Then the tiny particles of light drifted toward me.


"Rob what are those" I asked as the window status begin to flickered


[ Mana is the energy that flows through all living creatures in this world. Or more precisely the life force and piwer come from ]


Then it dissapeared, like it was never there.


More particles drifted nearby, I moved closer and reached out again, but then again it vanished.


I thought to myself precisely as I swallowed the saliva down my throat. Then I asked Rob again.


"Rob could it be like I don't possess mana? Could it also be the cause why the wolf sudden lise interest in killing me?"


I think of it on my own head full of imaginations as I connect the dots one by one.


[ Objective Interact with Mana 10 times


A task that is hidden? Hope its useful…I really didn't have much and my stats are also low.


"It's just touching mana right?" I spoke my voice full of confidence as I strode through the particles


"Gahh!" I groaned as I stumbled, my face planting straight into the mud.


I pushed myself up, wiping the mud off my face. My fists clenched. Frustration clear on my face.


Yep, I've been running in curcles trying to touch mana and still no progress?!


I let put a long breathe, as I lean to the grass underneath me, already tired but the detirmination inside of me still doean't waver.


I can't just give up because I haven't touch a single mana for the past minutes, I can do this!


I mentally stretched out my arms hards curling into a fist with fire glazing in my eyes. I can do this!


Now back on my two feet. I searched for more mana nearby, I stepped closer and reached out.


Then unsuprisingly the particles dissapeared.


I rubbed my eyes to see if I wasn't hallucinating. 


"YAHOO! I got one,I got ONE!" I jumped in happiness, finally some progress.


Looking for more, Reached out and yep...no the mana keep moving and moving as if there have a concious.


Which is I, the very victim have to run again which is a very long progress as now myself got the mana one by one though sometimes it really doesn't work, its beter than nothing.


My progress keeps updating and on and on...


Just I was to touch the few mana that's a loud thud is what I heared.


Chapter 3 - What am I?
