Chapter 28 - Heading of wei ju village

It's unknown what kind of curse this land has endured; whether it's demons or humans who died here, most of the undead they transform into after death take on human forms.

Clearly beast bones, yet they are pieced together to form an incredibly grotesque skeletal giant. Its head is still the half-rotted Qinling strange demon recently unearthed, while its body is composed of human remains.

Or perhaps it's a demon beast covered in corpse spots, crawling on all fours, but with a rotten human head.

In short, these dead creatures will try everything to piece themselves into human shapes, whether they are half-human, half-beast, or grotesquely assembled from several incomplete corpses, or even entirely beast remains insisting on forming a beast giant corpse!

"Azure Flame - Fire Ignition - Eruption!"

When he saw six or seven rotten corpses appear before him, Mo Fan quickly cast a Fire Ignition.

As the Fire Ignition landed near those rotten corpses...

"Boom!!!"

The next moment, a violent roar erupted, and Azure Flames burst forth, instantly engulfing the previous screams.

After eliminating these rotten corpses, Mo Fan quickly saw that the number of rotten corpses in the surroundings had directly reached nearly a hundred, fully appearing on the ground.

Good heavens!

He had directly stepped into a nest of corpses!

These corpses have no sensation, no mind, no pain, no fear; all they have is an instinctive pursuit and gnawing of living things. The only thing that can make them retreat is sunlight!

"Azure Flame - Fierce Fist - Earth Annihilation!"

An azure lotus directly emerged and bloomed from the ground, instantly turning dozens of undead into ashes. But in such a place, how could there be only these undead before him?

Soon, rotten corpses gathered from all directions.

"Thunderbolt - Sky Shock!"

"Boom!!"

"Rumble!!!"

Although the rotten corpses were numerous, Mo Fan, as a magic artilleryman, naturally wouldn't be unable to handle them. Using his Shadow Escape skill, he escaped the encirclement of the undead amidst the slaughter.

Undead, like demon beasts, are divided into Servant Level, War General Level, Commander Level, and monarch-level. What he encountered at this time were the most common rotten corpse undead; most of them were lives that had died less than ten years ago, their bodies buried in soil filled with death aura, rotting but not completely rotting.

These rotten corpse undead are the lowest in rank, Servant Level, but they are numerous and move in groups. When they swarm, encountering such a group of rotten corpses in the wilderness becomes extremely dangerous.

Within the rotten corpse groups, due to longer burial years and more absorbed death aura, Corpse Generals often emerge.

Corpse Generals and Bone Generals are far superior to many War General Level demon beasts. Normal demon beasts can be injured; attacking their legs affects their speed, attacking their bodies affects their offense, and hitting a vital point weakens their body and makes them afraid to fight. But corpses have no concept of injury; no matter if magic blasts their abdomen or shatters their limbs, their other parts remain incredibly strong. Even a severed arm on the ground might autonomously jump up and grab onto a person's body tightly.

One Corpse General can often be equivalent to three War General Level demon beasts.

However, Mo Fan was fortunate not to encounter any War General Level ones. For these Servant Level rotten corpses, he didn't need to use the gray garlic.

And those undead, sniffing his living scent, relentlessly pursued him from behind.

"Dimensional Summoning!"

Although he wasn't afraid of these rotten corpses, he certainly couldn't outrun a group of them on his two legs. Immediately, Mo Fan summoned the Dire Wolf Beast.

"Howl~~~"

The moment the Dire Wolf Beast emerged and saw a group of mutated creatures with drooping heads chasing after it, it immediately let out a mournful howl, then turned around and started to flee.

It had never seen such a troublesome master; as soon as it came out, it attracted so many terrifying things!

Although it was also eager to fight, it was just a Servant Level little wolf pup!

"Stop howling, what are you howling for? Run!"

Mo Fan said, not forgetting to cast Lightning Seal and Fire Ignition to clear the undead blocking their way ahead.

After clearing a path, Mo Fan gave the Dire Wolf Beast directions, and they successfully arrived at the nearest Yang Yang Village. Yang Yang Village was only a few kilometers from the winding Qinling mountains, completely nestled at the foot of the mountain.

The village was not large, built along a mountain stream, and all the houses were made of wood. Stepping into this village felt like returning to ancient times; in this village, no magical technology from after the 20th century could be seen. There were no electric lights, no wires, and it was estimated that even mobile phone signals were zero here.

At night, the village was exceptionally quiet, without a single light, only a somewhat yellow, hazy, cold moon hanging in the sky.

The sound of the mountain stream flowing was clearly audible. Looking around, the village was eerily silent, not at all like a place where people lived.

"Boy, before entering the village, take off anything that shouldn't be brought in."

After Mo Fan arrived, an old voice, sounding somewhat aged, came without warning from the wooden tower at the village entrance.

The wooden tower was similar to a sentry post; someone should be on duty there every night to prevent accidents.

"Alright."

Mo Fan had already learned about this before coming here, so he didn't have any resistance. And after he threw out his belongings, the old man, without any superfluous words, threw a fire at them.

Only after the flames had consumed his belongings was he led into the village.

The entire village was not large, probably not even as vast as a rich family's estate. It took only about ten minutes to walk from the village entrance to the end. He didn't know if it was because it was night, but apart from this old man, he didn't see anyone else appear.

Because there were no empty rooms in this village, Mo Fan was simply arranged into a thatched hut.

He didn't care about this.

Instead, after the old man left, he felt the fluctuation of his pendant. Clearly, the Little Loach pendant was very interested in the well water here.

Mo Fan came here, to put it plainly, for the well water. If he remembered correctly, there was a magician in this village. But the magician's strength wasn't great. Then, he directly used Shadow Escape and darted out, following the Little Loach's guidance all the way to the wellhead.

After Mo Fan directly plunged into the well water, he saw a series of murals. And the murals here seemed to be alive; although they had no fluctuations, they gave a lifelike feeling. He knew that these were not murals, but rather inside the Ancient King's Imperial Tomb.

Without much attention, he went all the way to the bottom of the well. Upon reaching the bottom, Mo Fan found the Little Loach trembling even more. He then picked up the pendant: "Little Loach, don't be too greedy, just absorb one-third, got it?"

The Little Loach didn't know if it understood, then it began to absorb the energy here. After the Little Loach reluctantly finished absorbing, he could still feel the energy here. When he came out and returned to the thatched hut, he didn't attract anyone's attention.
