Shinji smiled mysteriously. "I don't know yet — but the Evil God told me that when the right person touches this statue, all will be revealed."
Tobi quickly pulled his hand back in embarrassment; it was obvious he was not the one.
Then Hidan rushed forward.
"It has to be me! No one else is worthy except me!"
Hidan believed he had more than earned it — he had fought fiercely throughout the entire battle and never held back.
Yet the gifts of the Evil God always came with a hidden price, and had already been destined for a specific recipient. Hidan was fated to leave empty‑handed.
"Impossible!"
He gripped the statue's arm tightly, refusing to let go or accept the truth.
Meanwhile, Tamamo Hikaru had quietly slipped around to the back of the statue and gave it a few tentative touches. Nothing happened.
When she noticed everyone staring, her face flushed bright red and she hurried away. "I was just curious — that's all!"
Shinji stepped forward with a calm, confident smile.
"Well, I gave you all a chance, but none of you could make it work. It seems this reward from the Evil God falls to me alone."
He reached out and gently placed his hand upon the Statue of Athena.
Right before their eyes, the statue suddenly blazed with light, dissolved into a swarm of glowing fireflies, drifted apart, and then swiftly reformed into a single golden coin.
[Defend Athena — Perfect Clear. Additional Special Reward received: Coin of Fate]
Special Cursed Object — [Coin of Fate]
Effect: Silently make a wish in your heart, then toss the coin. If it lands Heads (Image of the Goddess), the wish is granted; if Tails (Blank), it fails.
Uses Remaining: 1/1
Note: Only a fool believes both sides have a 50% chance. The more impossible the wish, the lower the probability of landing Heads.
---
Shinji turned the coin over in his fingers, deep in thought.
Judging by its description alone, the Coin of Fate seemed capable of granting any wish — making it more than worthy of the reward for clearing such a difficult challenge.
In reality, however, it only worked for reasonable requests; anything too ambitious was doomed to fail.
For example, if he wished for every Cursed Spirit in the world to be wiped out and tossed the coin, it would land Tails one hundred percent of the time.
But if he only asked for a hundred taels of gold, it would almost certainly come true.
He would have to choose very carefully — use it well, and the gain would be immense; waste it, and the reward would be for nothing.
Still, Shinji was in excellent spirits. Completing the mini‑game had earned him 30,000 Cursed Spirit Souls, instantly satisfying the first requirement of the Six Eyes Scroll.
[Six Eyes — Eyes of the Azure Sky • Modification Scroll (Unique)]
Requirements:
1. Consume 200,000 Cursed Spirit Souls. (Current: 211,800 / 200,000)
2. Collect eyeballs from five different Special‑Grade Cursed Spirits. (5 / 5)
3. Acquire all seven nature types: Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, Earth, Yin, and Yang. (Total Progress: 100%)
---
"Shinji‑sama — is that the reward the Evil God gave you?"
Tobi stared curiously at the golden coin in his hand. Hidan looked ready to snatch it away, his eyes burning with envy and jealousy.
"Exactly. With this coin, I can pray to the Evil God for greater power. Just watch…"
Shinji smiled mysteriously and silently activated the Six Eyes — Eyes of the Azure Sky • Modification Scroll.
Instantly, a pair of extraordinary eyes seemed to descend from the void and imprint themselves directly upon his own.
The transformation was agonizing — it felt as if countless tiny knives were slicing and scraping the inside of his eye sockets.
Worse, Shinji's sensitivity to pain was doubled, making the sensation nearly unbearable; he could not suppress a low, pained groan.
The sight startled everyone present.
"So that bastard Shinji wasn't lying after all — receiving power from the Evil God really is this painful," Hidan thought. Much of his earlier resentment faded away.
"I still don't understand it, but it doesn't look like he's faking it. Does enduring this kind of suffering just to gain strength explain how you keep growing stronger?"
Tobi watched the changes closely, his mind racing with questions.
The whole process lasted only about five minutes, yet to Shinji it felt like an eternity. The pain was so intense that several times he almost tore his own eyes out just to make it stop.
But the moment the transformation finished, he immediately felt the difference.
Even with his eyes closed and covered by his hands, he could see everything around him with perfect clarity — as if viewing the world from a god‑like perspective.
This level of perception alone would change everything; from now on, almost no one would ever be able to catch him off guard.
He then opened the description of his new ability.
[Six Eyes — Eyes of the Azure Sky]
Abilities:
1. 360‑degree long‑range vision with no blind spots; physical barriers do not obstruct sight.
2. Allows the most precise and delicate manipulation of Cursed Energy.
3. Sees through enemy techniques and ninjutsu; can track and even predict the flow of Cursed Energy and Chakra.
4. Greatly reduces the cooldown of Domain Expansion, allowing the user to activate it multiple times in a single day.
5. Prerequisite for the Infinity Technique (Unique)
---
No doubt about it — in one word: Overpowered.
Granted, it did not seem quite as impressive as the Mangekyō Sharingan or the Rinnegan at first glance.
But that was only natural; its most important function was listed last — the prerequisite for the Infinity Technique.
The Six Eyes were the only requirement for using Infinity, making them absolutely essential.
In other words, Shinji had just found the treasure chest, but had not yet obtained the key to open it.
Only when he mastered the Infinity Technique would his true rise to power truly begin.
However, acquiring Infinity was still a long way off — it would depend heavily on luck.
Wait a minute… Luck?
Shinji froze. Could I use the Coin of Fate to wish for the Infinity Technique directly?
He opened his eyes fully, revealing irises as vast and breathtaking as the Milky Way itself.
Everyone standing there was stunned. Just one glance felt as if they were being pulled into the depths of those eyes — eyes that seemed to contain the entire universe.
So it was real!
Tobi finally began to believe in the existence of the Evil God. How else could he explain what he was seeing?
This was no Byakugan, no Sharingan, and certainly no Rinnegan — it did not match any bloodline limit he had ever heard of.
