Chapter 27 - Chapter 5: Monster of North Lake

Morning light poured gently over Paras City.

Birds chirped outside the tall glass windows of Blu's office. The city was waking up, but inside the quiet room, President Blu sat at his desk, buried in paperwork.

Letters were scattered neatly in front of him. His pen moved slowly across the page.

His eyes were half-open.

Blu exhaled.

"Man… I haven't slept well yesterday. The pressure of being a president… it's too much."

His handwriting slowed.

Suddenly—

The door opened.

Blu's eyes snapped open sharply, then softened as he adjusted his glasses.

"Oh. Lady Wano? Greetings again."

Wano stepped inside gracefully, Uraka resting in her hands. She bowed slightly.

"President Blu. I found this creature in my jungle. Her name is Uraka."

Blu's gaze shifted downward.

"This is… a slime, right?"

Uraka nodded politely.

Wano spoke carefully, "I wanted to ask. Can she live on Earth?"

Blu leaned back slightly.

"She came from a different planet. What if she is dangerous?"

Wano's expression softened.

"She has been exiled from her own world. She has no home now. If we reject her… where will she go?"

Uraka lowered her voice.

"Don't worry. I can leave. You don't need to take the burden of me."

Before Wano could respond—

Blu nodded.

"Fine. You will stay on Earth."

Uraka blinked.

"For real?"

"Yes."

Her small pink body shimmered slightly with happiness.

"Thank you, President."

Wano smiled warmly. "As I said… our president is truly kind."

They left the office together.

The door closed.

Blu leaned back in his chair.

"…Another responsibility."

Outside, a bird flew past the window, and the scene shifted with its wings.

---

Inside Sai's dojo—

Aoi sat comfortably on the sofa, observing chaos as usual.

At the training field stood three water dummies, shaped like human figures.

Sai cracked his knuckles and leaned toward Astra.

"Well… we begin with energy control."

Astra immediately fell to the ground dramatically.

"Sensei! Don't give me jump scares! I have a weak heart!"

Sai smirked. "That's exactly why you need them."

Aoi covered her face. "He's ruthless… even to a kid."

Sai raised his hand slowly and closed his eyes.

"Enough jokes. Watch carefully."

Inside Sai's body, water energy began compressing. It rotated in a controlled circle, roaring softly like a contained ocean.

The air around him felt heavier.

Sai opened one eye.

"Your turn."

Astra swallowed nervously.

"O-Okay… I'll try."

He closed his eyes.

Inside him—

Silver fire gathered slowly. It circled gently at first, then a small dragon-shaped aura formed within it.

Astra's eyes shot open.

"Woah! I feel so many things inside me!"

Sai smiled faintly.

"That's your energy level. And honestly… it's far stronger than I expected."

Aoi watched quietly.

*What if… he trained me like that instead?*

Her imagination drifted.

In her dream, Sai stood close behind her, holding her hands.

"Aoi-chan… just move like this," he whispered softly.

She blushed furiously. "W-Wait! Don't stand so close! I'm shy!"

Sai leaned closer. "Focus."

He guided her hand forward. A powerful water blade shot out, slicing a dummy clean in half.

Aoi gasped. "I didn't know I could use water techniques!"

Sai smiled confidently.

"That's because you're learning from me."

He slightly lifted his shirt, revealing his toned abs.

"I trained harder for you… babe."

Aoi's brain stopped functioning.

"How dreamy you are!!! Be mine forever!!!"

Splash!

Cold water hit her face.

She blinked.

Back to reality.

Sai was blasting water bullets at the dummies, exploding them into sprays.

"See? That's how you control your power."

Astra's eyes sparkled.

"Senseiiiii!!! That's insane! You can defeat anyone like that!"

Sai shrugged proudly. "Of course. I'm the strongest sensei."

More water splashed—on Aoi.

She froze.

"…So it was just a dream."

Sai turned to Astra.

"Now you."

Astra raised two fingers. Silver energy gathered at their tips.

"I'll prove myself!"

"Haaaaa!!"

Mini silver flaming bullets shot forward.

The dummies didn't just break—

They evaporated.

But the recoil blasted Astra backward.

Sai remained standing calmly.

"Impressive power. But you lack control. If you don't stabilize yourself, your own strength will throw you away."

Suddenly Astra screamed.

"Senseiiiii! A frog is biting me!"

A small frog clung to his nose.

Sai burst into laughter.

"You look ridiculous!"

Without touching it, he used telekinesis to pull the frog away.

He wiped his tears from laughing.

"Alright, you're safe."

Astra stood there exhausted, nose red like a clown.

Sai tilted his head.

"Wait. Let me add a finishing touch."

He disappeared into his room and returned with a makeup kit.

Before Astra could escape—

Sai applied clown makeup and forced him into a clown costume.

Sai rolled on the floor laughing uncontrollably.

"Now look at yourself! So handsome!"

Astra stared into the mirror.

His eyes watered.

"I can't impress school girls with this drip… What have you done to me, Sensei?"

Aoi sighed deeply.

"They are truly living in their own world…"

---

Meanwhile—

At Yuki's house.

Yuki lay under a blanket, pale and slightly feverish.

Honokage sat beside her, placing a cool cloth on her forehead.

His expression was quiet, protective.

"You push yourself too hard…"

She slept peacefully.

---

North side of Paras City.

North Lake.

Territory of the Water Clan.

At a smaller dojo near the lake, an old man sat beside a beautiful young girl who looked almost like a female reflection of Sai.

The old man smiled gently.

"I always knew… my son Sai would become the strongest. The clan rests easily now because of him."

The girl smiled softly.

"Yes, Yamato uncle. He doesn't need anyone beside him now. He has proven himself."

Yamato gently patted her head.

"Don't be sad, Suro. Sai hasn't forgotten you. He still cares for you deeply."

Suro lowered her gaze.

"He likes me? Then why hasn't he returned to the lake?"

"Be patient. He will come back."

Suddenly—

A clan member burst inside, panicking.

"The sealed monster! It has awakened! It's alive again! We need the strongest now!"

Yamato stood up immediately.

"Oh no…"

He turned sharply.

"Suro! Leave the dojo with the others! Now!"

"But uncle—!"

"Go!"

She ran out with the others.

Yamato walked toward the lake, gripping his katana tightly.

The water trembled.

"Monster… Queen of Mermaids… Fura… If you can hear me, come out."

For a second—

Silence.

Then—

A massive green root pierced through Yamato's chest.

His sword fell from his hand.

He collapsed.

From the lake's surface—

A figure rose slowly.

Waist-length blue hair flowing in the wind. Sharp red eyes glowing. Blue kimono clinging to her form. A powerful fish tail swayed behind her. Sharp teeth gleamed beneath a cruel smile. Golden bracelets shimmered on her wrists.

Fura.

She looked down at Yamato's fallen body and smirked.

"It feels wonderful… to awaken again."

Her red eyes narrowed.

"My first target… the Water Clan. Then the rest."

She slowly raised one finger.

Another sharp root emerged from the water.

"I must gather my five soul fragments quickly… only then will my true power return."

Her form shimmered—

And she vanished.

North Lake trembled in fear.
