They were incredibly sophisticated, but everything they did had a hint of coercion.
They ran their companies by force, and Michael was putting even more pressure on them, leaving the employees in the line of fire.
Michael ended the meeting with a short speech.
"You know who I am, and I know who you are. If you want more money, work hard. If you want more power, there's no way. Do you understand?"
"Yes, boss."
"When we started, we were a gang, and I raised everyone up. You've been working hard for seven months. I'm going to increase your bonuses."
"Thank you, boss."
"Any objections or questions?"
"No, boss."
"Good. I'll stay here for half an hour. If you have anything to say, say it now. If not, get out of my sight."
The speech was harsh, but it showed Michael's strong leadership.
Most of them started to leave. Some spoke with him briefly and then left.
I waited until I was the only one left. The dwarf, the finance manager, and Michael.
He looked at me and said, "Do you need anything?"
"Damn it, why haven't you been home? Where have you been for the past month?"
The finance manager stood up and looked at me with hatred.
Michael gestured for her to sit down.
"I'll be back today."
"Where have you been?"
"Working on some tasks."
"Weren't we supposed to be working together?"
"Yes, but there's a bit of preparation because the goals are going to get bigger."
"What?"
You'll find out in due time, and the preparations will be finished by tomorrow... Is there anything else?
We'll be back for revenge, I thought.
Yes, bring dinner with you and some beer, I told him.
Okay.
I'll go, and I gestured for the finance manager to walk with me.
See you tonight.
And we entered the elevator.
He may be your leader, but he's my friend, so I'm not like you.
There are two rules for us to get along: First, don't tell him anything. Second, don't even think about doing anything behind my back.
I can't promise that.
Don't push your luck too far, or I'll send you back with a complaint.
And she looked at me with hatred and said, "I'm on the Boss's side, not yours."
I don't really care which side you're on, but don't do anything to upset me.
And the elevator doors opened.
You'll start tomorrow. Get ready.
She bowed to me and left.
Looks like the job is done. I'll go home and send a message to my finance manager to prepare a place for her.
What thugs!
Male or female. Damn them.
Even in insults, gender equality must be achieved.
