Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Shocking the Whole Field

Time passed in the midst of these days of boring training.

Perhaps it was because of the change to a new environment.

On his first day at the Night Tiger Reconnaissance Company, Lin Mu obtained a perfect-level Stealth Skill from the system.

On the second day, he obtained a Makeup Skill.

On the third day, he obtained a Voice-changing Skill.

Night Tiger Reconnaissance Company shooting range.

The other soldiers were all practicing shooting, while only Lin Mu, Zhuang Yan, and Happy Baby were loading bullets.

After loading several thousand bullets, Company Commander Miao walked over and asked, "Have you three practiced shooting yet?"

"Report, no," the three replied in unison.

Company Commander Miao was stunned, looked at Chen Guotao beside him, and asked, "Why didn't you let them shoot?"

"Company Commander, the Chief is coming for an inspection today, so the recruits shouldn't shoot."

"What's wrong with recruits? Are recruits not soldiers of my Night Tiger Reconnaissance Company?"

"Besides, it's not like you haven't seen Lin Mu's video of the Ten-Shot Chain; do you think any veteran in the Night Tiger Reconnaissance Company can beat that?"

"When the Chief comes later, let Lin Mu and Zhuang Yan go up directly. In the past, it was always the veterans; they're all familiar faces by now," Company Commander Miao said.

"Yes, you three go practice!" Platoon Leader Chen said, looking at Lin Mu and the others.

Early the next morning, Lin Mu and his group arrived at the shooting range early to assemble.

Not long after the assembly was complete, a military jeep appeared at the shooting range.

Company Commander Miao ran over at top speed and welcomed the person getting out of the car.

A Senior Colonel and a Major wearing a beret arrived at the range led by Company Commander Miao.

Having seen the original show, Lin Mu naturally knew that the Major was Squad Leader Gao of the Wolf Fang Special Forces.

After a few brief pleasantries, Company Commander Miao had Lin Mu and Zhuang Yan go up to perform shooting.

As Old Cannon's command to start fell, the two ran forward and shot simultaneously, a series of standard tactical movements flowing like water, and they were Hundred Shots, Hundred Hits.

Company Commander Miao, who had been observing through binoculars, nodded with satisfaction and looked at the Senior Colonel beside him, saying, "Chief, these two soldiers of mine are pretty good, right?"

"Old Miao, you wouldn't be having two veterans put on Private ranks to fool me, would you?" the Senior Colonel said with a smile, looking at Company Commander Miao.

"Chief, you know my character; would I need to do that?" Company Commander Miao replied.

"You two, come over here," Company Commander Miao shouted to Lin Mu and Zhuang Yan in the distance.

"How old are you two?" the Senior Colonel asked once the two stood before him.

"Report, eighteen," Lin Mu and Zhuang Yan replied simultaneously.

"Not bad, you two are the youngest Rapid-fire Sharpshooters I've ever seen," the Senior Colonel praised.

"Thank you for the praise, Chief," the two said in unison.

"They are both college students; one graduated from a Gifted Youth Class, and the other studied art," Company Commander Miao added from the side.

"Squad Leader Gao, how about letting these two soldiers join your Special Forces?" the Senior Colonel looked at Dog Head Old Gao and asked.

"Report, Chief! The Special Forces absolutely do not allow soldiers who come in through the back door or through connections; this is an order you personally signed three years ago," Dog Head Old Gao said loudly.

"Haha, good, you're waiting for me there," the Senior Colonel laughed.

"Report! Since the Chief of the Special Forces is here, could he show us a thing or two and let us recruits broaden our horizons?" Lin Mu said loudly.

"Squad Leader Gao, why don't you show them a few tricks?" the Senior Colonel laughed upon hearing this.

"Yes, Chief," said Dog Head Old Gao.

"Old Gao, you've come here to crash my party," Company Commander Miao said, feeling a bit displeased.

"How could I? I'm just showing off by invitation. Old Miao, do you have any beer bottles here?" said Dog Head Old Gao.

Helpless, Company Commander Miao had to call two soldiers to prepare the bottles.

"Throw."

"Throw again."

"Switch hands."

It had to be said that Dog Head Old Gao's marksmanship was indeed impressive; he hit over a dozen beer bottles in a row.

After returning the gun to Zhuang Yan, he took out the sunglasses he had put in his jacket pocket before shooting and put them back on.

Lin Mu, seeing Dog Head Old Gao's pretentious manner, felt quite annoyed and looked at Company Commander Miao, saying, "Report."

"Speak," said Company Commander Miao.

"Company Commander, I can do what the Special Forces Chief just showed, and I can do it even better," Lin Mu said.

Company Commander Miao's eyes lit up; Lin Mu was the soldier who had pulled off the Ten-Shot Chain.

If he didn't let Dog Head Old Gao see this, the man would really think the Night Tiger Reconnaissance Company was an easy target.

Company Commander Miao glanced at Platoon Leader Chen, and after seeing him nod, he looked at Lin Mu in the distance, who was already prepared, with a smile.

"Squad Leader, when I shout 'one, two, three,' throw the bottles up," Lin Mu shouted to Old Cannon once the bottles were in place.

Old Cannon nodded to indicate he understood.

"Ready, one, two, three."

As soon as the word 'three' fell, Old Cannon immediately signaled the two soldiers beside him to throw the twelve bottles from the bucket into the air one after another.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

After eleven consecutive gunshots, Lin Mu paused briefly and only fired the final shot as the last bottle was about to hit the ground.

Bang!

All twelve bottles landed on the ground, but not a single one was broken.

Everyone present was stunned.

"What is this guy doing?"

This was the shared thought of everyone present who had witnessed Lin Mu's Ten-Shot Chain marksmanship.

Only Dog Head Old Gao had a look of contempt; his unique skill wasn't something these Reconnaissance Company Rookies could learn.

Since the middle of the shooting range was all sand, the bottles didn't break upon landing.

After a moment of being dazed, Old Cannon walked suspiciously toward a bottle on the ground, picked it up, and couldn't help but exclaim, "Holy crap."

Old Cannon was simply in disbelief; he rubbed his eyes and looked at the bottle in his hand again.

After another moment of being stunned, Old Cannon immediately rushed nearby to pick up another bottle.

"Damn it," another curse followed.

Because of the distance, Company Commander Miao and the others didn't hear Old Cannon's exclamation.

Instead, Lin Mu watched with a relaxed expression as Old Cannon kept picking up bottles in the distance.

"Lin Mu, what the hell are you doing?" Company Commander Miao said with a dark face.

"Company Commander Miao, don't worry," said Lin Mu.

By the time Old Cannon picked up the fourth bottle, he truly couldn't find the words to describe it, staring at the bottle in his hand for a long time in silence.

Company Commander Miao grew impatient and angry: "Old Cannon, what are you doing standing there like a corpse? Get over here!"

Old Cannon was startled, quickly ran toward Company Commander Miao with the bottle in hand, and told the two soldiers behind him, "You two, hurry up and bring the rest of the bottles."

"Yes." The two quickly picked up the bottles and followed Old Cannon to Company Commander Miao.

Once Old Cannon placed all the bottles in front of everyone.

Hiss!

Company Commander Miao sucked in a breath of cold air.

The pupils behind Dog Head Old Gao's sunglasses constricted violently.

The Senior Colonel also looked shocked.

As for Zhuang Yan, Platoon Leader Chen, Happy Baby, and the other officers and soldiers of the Reconnaissance Company, they all stared wide-eyed at the bottles on the ground, unable to describe the shock in their hearts.
