Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Bird Language

They saw twelve wine bottles; the bottoms were completely gone, but the bodies of the bottles had no cracks whatsoever.

There was only one possibility for such a result.

Lin Mu's bullets all entered through the mouth of the bottle before shattering the bottom.

The mouth of the wine bottle was about the size of a coin.

The concepts between these two were completely different.

Because the wine bottle was made of glass and had a translucent texture, accurately targeting the mouth of the bottle from dozens of meters away was much harder than targeting a coin.

Because of this skill, Dog Head Old Gao no longer showed any arrogance, but his eyes sparkled with an inexplicable light.

"This kid's shooting skill is even better than the shooting instructor of our Wolf Fang Special Operations Brigade," Dog Head Old Gao thought to himself.

"Old Miao, I have something to tell you." Dog Head Old Gao pulled Company Commander Miao aside.

"Old Miao, give me this soldier of yours." Dog Head Old Gao said, looking at Company Commander Miao.

"You know I couldn't enter the Special Forces because of my eyes, so for all these years, I've been looking for good prospects, hoping they could enter Wolf Fang and fulfill my wish." Company Commander Miao said solemnly.

"It seems this wish is about to come true, but I still have one more wish that hasn't been fulfilled, so I can't give you this soldier yet." Company Commander Miao looked at Dog Head Old Gao, his eyes flashing with an inexplicable light.

Dog Head Old Gao looked at Company Commander Miao, feeling a bad premonition for some unknown reason.

Just as he was about to say something more, he heard the Senior Colonel's voice say, "Old Gao, let's go. We still have to visit other companies."

The setting sun flies with red clouds, soldiers finish shooting and return to camp. Return to camp.

After this report concluded, everyone cheerfully sang "Returning from the Shooting Range" as they walked back to the company station.

"Everyone performed well today, especially Lin Mu. You deserve praise. Dismissed!"

Following Company Commander Miao's call for dismissal, everyone returned to their respective dormitories.

"Lin Mu, your marksmanship is so amazing, teach me!" Happy Baby said to Lin Mu after they returned to the dormitory.

"Happy Baby, I think what you need to study right now isn't marksmanship or military skills, but high school chemistry." Lin Mu said, looking at Happy Baby.

"Why?" Zhuang Yan and Happy Baby asked simultaneously.

"I ask you, do you want to join the Special Forces?" Lin Mu asked.

"Of course! Special Forces are the King of Soldiers, the king among all military branches. Of course, I want to be one." Chen Xiwa said.

Recently, Happy Baby had been reading a novel called King of Soldiers, and the content about the Special Forces had completely captivated him.

"You only graduated from junior high, and you don't understand a lot of high school knowledge. The Special Forces have academic requirements, so to become a Special Forces Soldier, you must learn high school chemistry. I will help you with that."

Lin Mu had read the original work; Happy Baby was forced to drop out because he couldn't pass the chemistry exam. Otherwise, with Happy Baby's military qualities, entering Wolf Fang would have been no problem.

"Right, even though I don't want to join the Special Forces, I'll help you too." Zhuang Yan said from the side, looking at Happy Baby.

"Thank you, thank you both so much. It's great having you two as brothers." Happy Baby said, deeply moved. "Do you know why I joined the military?"

"It's because I want to be a Special Forces Soldier. I just hope that one day when I meet the woman I love, I can proudly tell her: 'I was once the King of Soldiers.'"

Listening to Happy Baby's impassioned speech, Zhuang Yan was momentarily stunned, and certain images subconsciously appeared in his mind.

"Zhuang Yan, have you ever imagined the scene where you stand in front of Little Shadow and tell her you are the King of Soldiers?" Lin Mu asked, looking at Zhuang Yan.

Zhuang Yan, who was currently imagining Little Shadow looking at him with adoring eyes, suddenly snapped back to reality and asked suspiciously, "Lin Mu, how do you know my girlfriend is called Little Shadow?"

"One time when I got up to use the restroom, I heard you calling the name Little Shadow, so I figured she was your girlfriend." Lin Mu casually bluffed.

"I talk in my sleep?" Zhuang Yan scratched his head, puzzled.

"Do you think you would know if you were talking in your sleep?" Lin Mu countered.

"Alright, you still haven't answered my question. Do you want that?" Lin Mu asked.

"Yes." Zhuang Yan replied.

The original drama had various regrets, but now that he had appeared in this world of Special Forces Soldiers, he would not allow those regrets to happen again.

Saturday was study time in the military.

After the study session, Lin Mu stopped Platoon Leader Chen, who had come to teach the class, and expressed hope that they could stay in the study room a little longer.

Seeing Platoon Leader Chen's puzzled expression, Lin Mu recounted the entire story of tutoring Happy Baby, explaining the sequence of events in detail.

Platoon Leader Chen readily agreed to the request, patted Lin Mu's shoulder, and turned to leave.

According to their division of labor, today was Zhuang Yan's turn to tutor Happy Baby. Lin Mu took out a blank sheet of paper and began writing questions for Happy Baby.

Once Zhuang Yan finished lecturing, Lin Mu handed the completed test paper to Happy Baby.

Happy Baby also wanted to know the results of his studies during this period, so he took the test paper without hesitation and began working on it.

Watching Happy Baby writing furiously, Lin Mu couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion.

For this entire week, Lin Mu and Zhuang Yan took turns tutoring. Two university students taught diligently, and one excellent student learned earnestly.

Happy Baby went from scratching his head in confusion to answering fluently, giving both Lin Mu and Zhuang Yan a sense of accomplishment.

With nothing else to do, Lin Mu opened the System and felt a pang of frustration looking at the skills he had drawn this week.

Besides Driving Mastery and Chef God Mastery being somewhat useful, the rest were basically useless.

Just as he was about to draw a prize, Lin Mu suddenly thought of something, got up, went to the restroom to wash his hands, and only then told the System to draw.

"Congratulations, Host, you have acquired the Bird Language Mastery skill." The System said.

"What the heck? Bird Language Mastery?" Lin Mu shouted angrily.

"System, look at what kind of skills I've drawn this week."

"Now you give me another Bird Language Mastery. Do you want me to become a birdman?" Lin Mu continued.

The System did not reply but instead directly poured a massive amount of information into Lin Mu's brain.

In less than a minute, Lin Mu fully comprehended the skill.

After comprehending it, Lin Mu was even more dumbfounded. What use was this thing besides understanding bird speech?

"What's wrong with you? Why are you sighing?" Zhuang Yan, who was bored, heard Lin Mu sigh and asked curiously.

"Nothing much." Lin Mu chuckled vaguely at Zhuang Yan, then lowered his head and continued to ponder a solution.

After only two or three seconds, Lin Mu suddenly looked up at Zhuang Yan. Just now, he realized how to use Bird Language Mastery.

In the original drama, during the first exercise, Zhuang Yan and his comrades couldn't use radio communication because the Blue Army's Electronic Countermeasure Regiment was performing electronic interference, so Zhuang Yan was sent to deliver the intelligence.

Setting aside whether this method was reliable, the efficiency was truly slow.
