Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Reinforcements

Within three minutes, Lin Mu found a Sniper position on a hilltop 800 meters away.

From his location, he could not only overlook Langde Village but also use his Danger Skill to scan the entire village.

Furthermore, his rifle's range perfectly covered the area where the hostages were held, making it an ideal Sniper position.

This was perfect; with his marksmanship, Danger Skill, and battlefield command tool as support, Lin Mu guaranteed that not a single person would escape.

Geng Jihui's voice came through the earpiece: "Blood Wolf, Forest Wolf and the team are in position."

A dozen seconds later, Ostrich's voice came through: "Blood Wolf, Big Tail Wolf is in position."

"Stand by. Wait for my shot and Big Tail Wolf's," Lin Mu said.

Lying prone on a rock, Lin Mu observed the hostages through his scope and discovered he could actually see inside the room through the window.

"God showered wisdom upon the world, but you people held up umbrellas," Lin Mu muttered before speaking into the comms. "Big Tail Wolf, can you see the situation inside the room from where you are?"

"Yes, the field of vision is completely clear, no obstructions at all," Ostrich's voice replied through the earpiece.

"Are these people overconfident? Didn't they use anything to block the view?"

"Maybe they don't even know the profession of 'Sniper' exists in this world."

"No, they probably just purely believe we can't hit them."

Upon hearing Ostrich say the line of sight was completely unobstructed, the five members of the assault team led by Geng Jihui couldn't help but complain.

Listening to their banter, Lin Mu chuckled and said, "Alright, be serious and get ready. Assault team, wait for the shots."

After a pause, Lin Mu added, "Ostrich, you take care of the two guys standing guard outside."

"Copy that, Blood Wolf. Leave it to me," Ostrich said.

"Three-second countdown. Prepare."

"Three."

"Two."

"One."

"Do it!"

Bang! Bang!

Two gunshots rang out simultaneously, one right after the other.

On the floor where the hostages were held...

Minka, who was sitting on the sofa smoking a cigar and waiting for good news, suddenly stiffened and then slumped forward.

Standing behind Minka, Ruan De's expression changed when he saw Minka's movement, and he instinctively moved away from the window.

Bang!

Another gunshot rang out, and the guy closest to the hostages downstairs was killed by a bullet.

For a moment, the hostages in the room were all stunned, trembling with fear at the bloody scene before them.

Seeing that the hostages didn't panic or run around despite the gunshots and bloodshed, Lin Mu fired five more consecutive shots, each one accurately hitting a person in the room.

Only after seeing everyone inside fall dead did Lin Mu breathe a slight sigh of relief... At the village entrance.

Upon hearing Lin Mu's shots, Geng Jihui raised his rifle, racked the bolt, and shouted, "Assault team, move out!"

Rat-tat-tat.

Suddenly, heavy gunfire erupted on the only road leading into Langde Village.

When the guards outside saw Geng Jihui's team of five rushing toward them, their expressions changed instantly, and they immediately raised their guns to return fire.

However, these men were far from being a match for the rigorously trained Lone Wolf B Team. In just one encounter, they were all wiped out by Lone Wolf B Team.

Through the images displayed by the battlefield command tool, Lin Mu saw that Geng Jihui and the others were attacking smoothly. Seeing that only a few lackeys remained, he stopped focusing on them.

He glanced again at where the hostages were held; the few men guarding outside the room had already been eliminated by Ostrich.

Seeing that the situation was under control, he was about to withdraw when he saw twelve red dots appear on the Danger Skill Light Screen.

Through his scope, he saw twelve foreign faces wearing jungle camouflage. Lin Mu knew immediately who they were... "Use grenades to finish off the remaining guys and then take cover quickly. Twelve foreigners are coming up behind you," Lin Mu said immediately. "They aren't friendly."

The ordinary men guarding the hostages were no match for Lone Wolf B Team; it was very easy for the team to eliminate them.

The strength of these sentries was far below that of the B Team. Eliminating them was easy for the members of Lone Wolf B Team, even for their first real combat experience.

But facing these twelve people, Zhuang Yan and the others might not be their match. These people looked like they had been in combat for a long time and possessed extensive battle experience.

This was the first time Zhuang Yan and the others were on a battlefield. As the leader of the B Team, he had to be responsible for their lives.

Upon receiving the message, Geng Jihui took out a grenade, bit off the pin, waited for two seconds, and threw it hard.

Boom!

After the explosion, the lackeys who were still putting up a desperate struggle were vaporized in an instant.

"Take cover and wait for orders," Geng Jihui said.

"Wait, someone is opening the door. Our inside contact is coming out."

From his Sniper position, Ostrich saw a woman in red walking out of the building where the hostages were held and spoke anxiously.

"Damn it, I'm close. I'll go. Ostrich, come to my position and monitor those twelve people. Geng Jihui, check your weapons and ammunition," Lin Mu snapped.

The woman in red, who had been staying with the hostages, knew the battle was over when she heard the explosion.

She stood up and walked downstairs, partly to welcome the team and partly to meet that Sniper.

800 meters.

Consecutive shots.

Practically one shot per second, and every shot went straight for the forehead.

She wanted to ask him: don't you need time to aim when you fire?

When the door opened, none of the scenes she had imagined—the troops clearing the battlefield or someone coming to welcome her—occurred.

Looking at the empty doorway, the woman in red was stunned for a moment.

Just as she stepped down the stairs, she saw a person running toward her quickly from a distance. As the distance closed, she saw the anxious expression on Lin Mu's face and was taken aback.

She quickly scanned the surroundings, but after a thorough look, she didn't find any abnormal movement.

Seeing Lin Mu almost in front of her, the woman in red walked up with confusion and said, "Hello, my name is..."

Lin Mu said urgently, "I don't have time to hear your name right now. Go back inside immediately and tell the villagers that the battle isn't over yet. Absolutely do not come out, and that goes for you too."

Lin Mu finished speaking rapidly and sprinted toward the right. He wanted to flank those twelve people and deliver a fatal blow from behind.

Hearing Lin Mu's words, the woman in red turned and walked back into the room without hesitation. Although she was also a member of Wolf Fang,

she currently had no weapons and was wearing red clothes, which could be absolutely fatal on a battlefield.

Even if she couldn't help them, she couldn't afford to be a burden.

Deep in the jungle, twelve foreigners in jungle camouflage were advancing step by step with their weapons raised.

Davis, who was leading the way, waved his hand, and everyone behind him stopped instantly.

"Boss, don't be so cautious, or it'll hurt our reputation," a guy in the team who looked like a grizzly bear whistled and looked at Davis
