Hi everyone..
Today is a great day because I'm starting a new journey in my life. Can you guess what it is?
But at the same time, i feel sad.... cause I'm going to live alone without my parents in a foreign country for my further studies.
I planned everything without telling them at first.
When i was finally sure, I gathered the courage to tell them.
Yes....
I'm going far away from my parents to chase my dreams, but they have never disappointed me.
Instead of stopping me, they encouraged me.
They told me to believe in myself, to go after my dreams, and that they would always support me.
When they said those to me last week, I couldn't hold back my tears.
I was crying on the phone last week while listening to their voices____ full of love ,pride and strength.
Finally, the day had arrived.
The day i had to leave my country.....and my parents.
They came to the capital city to say goodbye to me.
We all stayed at my maternal uncle's house, which was full of people. My cousins, my aunts, my uncles__ everyone was there.
The house felt warm, noisy and alive.
My aunt cooked delicious food for us.
We ate together, knowing we had to leave soon to reach the airport before my flight. My friends were also going to join us to see me off.
Even though i was excited, my heart felt heavy.
While we were eating, my mother kept feeding me with her own hand, to put her love inside me for the days when i wouldn't be close enough.
My flight was at night.
After dinner, we went straight to the airport.
There, I met my friends.
They hugged me, smiled at me and wished me to have a beautiful journey ahead.
Soon, it was time.
I left them behind and walked inside for boarding.
My hands were shaking...
My heart was beating fast....
I felt lonely and scared.....
I'm an introverted person.
I don't talk much.
I'm not good at making friends easily.
And now, I was stepping into a completely new world__ alone.
All these thoughts stayed with me throughout the flight.
Somewhere between in the clouds and my memories, I slowly fell asleep.
When the plan landed and I stepped into a new country, I believed my hardest part was over.
I didn't know yet.....
that my real journey was only beginning.
