Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 – The Gathering Storm

Morning arrived quietly.

Too quietly.

The academy, once filled with noise and energy, now moved with caution.

Students spoke in low voices.

Teachers remained alert.

No one said it out loud—

But everyone felt it.

Something had changed.

Something dangerous had begun.

Inside the infirmary, Leo stood by the window.

Fully awake now.

Fully conscious.

But not fully normal.

His presence felt… heavier.

Not in strength alone—

But in meaning.

Luna stood beside him, arms crossed.

"You should still be resting."

Leo didn't move.

"I've rested enough."

Kai walked in, stretching lazily.

"Yeah, yeah… and next you'll say you're ready to fight another world-ending monster."

Leo replied calmly,

"If needed."

Kai froze.

"…You're not joking."

"No."

Ryu leaned against the wall, watching quietly.

"…You've changed."

Leo's eyes shifted slightly.

"…I know."

Silence followed.

Milan adjusted his glasses.

"…Then tell us."

"What exactly are we dealing with now?"

Leo looked at all of them.

For the first time—

He didn't hide anything.

"There are others."

Kai frowned.

"…Others?"

"Like me."

The room went still.

Ryu spoke slowly,

"…People with divine power?"

Leo nodded.

"Yes."

Milan's voice turned serious.

"…Allies or enemies?"

Leo paused.

"…Unknown."

Luna stepped forward slightly.

"But the ones who attacked…"

Leo finished her sentence,

"They are not the strongest."

Silence fell again.

This time heavier.

Kai rubbed his head.

"Great. So we survived something that wasn't even the main threat."

Leo's gaze turned distant.

"They were only the beginning."

---

At the same time…

Far away from the academy.

Beyond cities.

Beyond human reach.

A mountain stood alone.

Ancient.

Silent.

Untouched.

At its peak—

A figure sat still.

Eyes closed.

Breathing calm.

Around him, the air trembled slightly.

Not violently.

But constantly.

As if reality itself couldn't stay steady near him.

His eyes opened slowly.

"…So it has begun."

A faint smile appeared.

"…Another one has awakened."

He stood up.

The ground beneath him cracked slightly.

"…Good."

Far below—

Creatures fled.

Instinctively.

Because something greater had moved.

---

In another place—

A ruined city.

Destroyed long ago.

Covered in ash and silence.

A girl walked alone through the broken streets.

Her eyes glowed faintly blue.

Not with emotion—

But with awareness.

She stopped suddenly.

Looking toward the sky.

"…I can feel it."

A soft whisper followed,

"…You finally woke up."

Her lips curved slightly.

"…Let's see what you become."

---

Back at the academy—

An emergency meeting was called.

All high-level instructors gathered.

The atmosphere was tense.

"The entity we faced…"

"…Was beyond recorded levels."

"…And it retreated."

"…That means it will return."

One of the elders spoke,

"…No."

Everyone looked at him.

"…It means something worse is coming."

Silence filled the room.

"…We must prepare."

---

Outside—

Leo stood alone now.

Training ground.

Empty.

Still damaged from the last battle.

He looked at his hand again.

Slowly raised it.

The air bent slightly.

Then twisted.

Then returned.

Controlled.

But unstable.

"…Not enough."

He closed his eyes.

Focused.

The voice inside him spoke quietly,

"You are improving."

Leo responded,

"Not fast enough."

A pause.

"…You feel it too."

Leo's expression hardened slightly.

"Yes."

The pressure.

The approaching presence.

The unseen enemies.

"…They're coming."

The voice didn't deny it.

"No."

"…They are already here."

Leo's eyes opened instantly.

Sharp.

Alert.

He turned.

Behind him—

Nothing.

But the air…

Felt wrong.

Distorted.

Like something was watching.

Leo spoke calmly,

"…Show yourself."

Silence.

Then—

A ripple.

A figure slowly appeared.

Not fully.

Like a shadow struggling to exist.

"…Interesting."

Its voice was calm.

Curious.

"…You can sense me already."

Leo didn't move.

"…Who are you?"

The figure tilted its head slightly.

"…Someone like you."

The air grew heavier instantly.

"…But further ahead."

Leo's eyes narrowed.

"…Another one."

The figure smiled faintly.

"…Yes."

A pause.

"…But I didn't come to fight."

Leo didn't lower his guard.

"…Then why are you here?"

The figure stepped closer.

The ground didn't react.

Reality didn't react.

As if it wasn't fully part of this world.

"…To see you."

"…To confirm something."

Leo's voice stayed calm.

"…What?"

The figure stopped.

Looked directly at him.

"…Whether you are worth it."

Silence.

Leo's aura rose slightly.

"…And?"

The figure smiled.

"…You survived the watchers."

"…You touched existence."

A pause.

"…You might be."

Leo's grip tightened.

"…Might?"

The figure turned slightly.

"…Grow stronger."

"…Or you will be erased."

The words were simple.

But absolute.

Leo didn't flinch.

"…Try it."

For a moment—

The air froze.

Tension rose.

Power clashed silently.

Then—

The figure laughed softly.

"…Not yet."

Its form began fading.

"…We will meet again."

"…Next time…"

Its voice grew distant.

"…I won't be observing."

And then—

It vanished.

Completely.

Leo stood still.

Silent.

Then slowly exhaled.

"…So it begins."

Behind him—

Luna had been watching.

Hidden.

Listening.

Her voice was quiet.

"…You're not alone anymore."

Leo didn't turn.

"…I never was."

The sky above remained calm.

But far beyond—

Multiple forces moved.

Different directions.

Same destination.

Earth.

And at the center of it all—

Leo stood.

Not as a victim.

Not as prey.

But as something else.

Something rising.

Something dangerous.

The storm had begun.
