"Dad... Dad"
A black haired woman ran down the hospital corridor, stopping in front of a room number ten, she quickly pushed the door open.
A salt-and-pepper haired man laid weakly on the bed with sunken eyes, the machines beeping steadily in the background.
"Anna", he called tiredly, "was it Damien?, that naughty boy, I told him I'm fine, quickly go back, don't let you boss get angry" he said.
"Dad, how can you say you're fine"she quickly rushed inside and grabbed his hand and said sobbingly.
Damien had called her less than thirty minutes earlier that her dad collapsed, if Damien hadn't called, he dad would have refused to list a family contact, he hated being a burden.
"I'm really fine, Dad can't leave now, dad still want to attend your wedding....and carry is grandchildren", he smiled even the corner of his mouth twitched in pain everytime he did.
Beep....beep
Anna was just about to reply when her phone rang, she glanced at the screen and stepped into the corridor.
"Where are you?" Kate said urgently." The boss is angry, there is client's meeting at Rose bar at seven and the boss said you must attend".
Anna sank into the chair. Earlier she had spoken to the nurse and amount for a father's medication wasn't something she could afford.
She stared blankly at the white wall
Even where she works she was the only one that does most of the labour, after she rejected the boss advances.Ever since, the atmosphere has turned hostile, her colleagues resented her, even though the man was just a fat greasy man, hiding behind a ten million dollars worth company.
Checking her watch, six pm
She opened the door to the room quietly, she walked in seeing that her dad slept off already, she grabbed her bag and dimmed light, she stared at him and gave him a peck on the head.
