Chapter 1 - Ch 1

"Haaaaaah"

I let out a deep sigh, staring at the pile of papers as tall as a mountain in front of me.

'Why does this have to happen to me? I just finished a war, you know? Why do I still have to deal with this?'

I kept complaining in my head. Even so, I kept my hands moving to get this done quickly, complaints and all.

I might have resistance to mental attacks, but my mental energy is still draining fast.

"Looks like even after getting all this power, desk work is still a pain."

I leaned back in my chair in my human form, staring at the ceiling, wondering if I should call Diablo or Shion to help me out.

But I quickly dropped that thought because dealing with them is just as tiring as these papers.

"Master, why don't you take a vacation?"

Ciel-sensei spoke to me inside my head. Hearing the word "vacation" made me jump up from my chair and talk excitedly.

"That's it!!! A vacation. Great idea Sensei! But vacation where? I can't just leave state affairs behind."

I shouted happily and stood up enthusiastically, thinking about the responsibilities I still had to handle.

"How about leaving a clone to handle the paperwork? I'll take care of managing it," Sensei replied flatly.

"Sasuga Sensei! You're seriously so reliable."

I praised Ciel Sensei enthusiastically.

"Of course."

I could totally imagine Ciel Sensei—looking just like me with those red eyes—grinning wide and puffing out her flat chest proudly after being praised.

If Sensei's happy, then I'm happy too.

"So where should we go, Sensei? I've got no idea where we should head."

I was thinking about a few places we could visit—maybe the Lake of Tempest, or the sea in the south, or even going back to Earth.

As I thought about Earth, an idea popped into my head.

"Could it be... (Masaka)" I said in that high-pitched tone like in those cliché anime scenes.

"Exactly right, Master. Isekai."

"Isekai, huh," I murmured.

A dream that people often fantasize about as an escape from the real world. But since I'm already in an isekai, for me it's reality—and it's totally within reach.

'I've been in this world for about four years now. So many things have happened that my Earth self never could've imagined,' I monologued in my head.

Back on Earth, I was around 40. Now, four years in this world.

'I guess I'm already an old man, huh,' I sighed inwardly.

'But at least I'm popular here, and I'm good-looking.' I brushed off that complaint by glancing at my reflection in the mirror beside my desk and flashed a smug, narcissistic grin.

The only downside? 'My Little Brother' didn't grow. I smiled, full of irony.

Then I asked Sensei.

"So where are we going, Sensei?" I asked, full of curiosity.

"With Master's abilities, there are a few ways for us to enter an isekai (another world)."

Then Sensei continued.

"First, we could create a new world based on the novel or manga stories stored in Master's memory as a foundation and reference. Turn Null energy would be used to create that world."

"You make it sound so easy, saying things like 'create a world.'"

"For Master, it really is easy."

Ciel was actually bragging about me now.

I thought about this option. Creating a world based on manga or anime references sounds really exciting—meeting characters I admire, fighting alongside them, or changing endings that originally pissed me off. Lots of interesting possibilities.

'But...'

Things like that would probably get boring fast since you already know every character and how the story ends.

On the other hand, stories with cliffhangers or unsatisfying endings—now those would be interesting to jump into and change things the way they should've been.

Like crushing the antagonist and heroine in an NTR story. That would be so satisfying. But that would turn me into someone forever thirsty for revenge, and that's a path with no end. So yeah, that idea's a no-go.

"What's the second option?" I asked Sensei.

"Create another world using Turn Null, but based on a story Master has never read before."

"Isn't that just the difference between whether I've read it or not?" I protested a little to Ciel Sensei.

Then I thought about it.

'A story I haven't read, huh. Sounds interesting. But where would Sensei even get that story from?'

Answering my unspoken question, Sensei replied.

"The me inside Master on Earth scanned the entire planet and gathered knowledge about various stories."

Scanning an entire planet? As expected from a Skill Maniac—she really goes all out searching for knowledge, even doing things beyond common sense.

I remembered when Sensei analyzed my skills while I was fighting Veldora and Velgrind. She even told me I could beat Velgrind with just Beelzebub.

"So what kind of story will Sensei turn into a real world?"

"There's one novel I think Master would enjoy."

"What kind of world?" I asked curiously.

"I took it from one of the best-selling Light Novels on Earth titled 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?' A.K.A Danmachi."

I thought about what Ciel Sensei said.

'From the title, this seems like a fantasy-themed novel with dungeons, romance, or a harem. "Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon"—does that mean the MC goes on adventures and falls in love inside dungeons?'

"Why did Sensei pick this story out of so many?" I asked, curious.

"Because that world is quite complete, detailed, and consistent, so readers can easily imagine themselves inside it. The world's system is also interesting—the dungeon, the gods—so Master will likely enjoy it," Ciel Sensei explained.

"Not only that, but this Light Novel is one of the best-selling LNs of all time, so I could easily recommend it," Sensei continued.

Just as expected from Sensei—she knows I love adventures. Even though I've reincarnated and become a Demon Lord, I still crave adventure. Being a ruler doesn't mean all problems can be solved quickly and easily.

"But Sensei, don't we already have a dungeon? Why go through the trouble of creating another world just to conquer its dungeon?" I asked.

Sure, I love adventure, but I'm not the type to make things harder for myself.

Then Ciel Sensei answered.

"Because the main character is very interesting. Master likes zero-to-hero stories, right? This is one of the stories I can recommend to relieve Master's boredom."

Well, I am bored and need some entertainment. No reason to refuse, right?

"Alright then, I'll leave it to you, Sensei."

"Understood, Master," Sensei replied in her usual tone.
