In a room in the depths of the hosital their was a lonely boy who was bedridden with an incurable disease.
He had just turned 16 a month ago. He had dark brown hair, light brown eyes, and thick eyebrows. He was pale, due to the lack of sunlight he received from spending most of his time in the hospital. Overall he was below average looking at best.
He was an orphan at birth. Never had a family. But had made few friends over the years.
He spent most of his time reading a light novel that he had picked up from a library.
The name of the novel? "Path of a Noble Hero", and he was currently on the very last chapter.
"What the hell?!"
"This is bullshit"
"Why is everyone dying?! This isn't supposed to happen! The mc isn't supposed to lose!"
As he read the last page of the book. He abruptly closed it and tossed it to the ground next to his bed.
"sigh"
"I can't believe after all those chapters, everyone just, dies".
The boy continued to look at the blank wall in front of him.
After sometime he said in a quiet voice,
"I hate this so much". Tears had started pouring out of his eyes.
"Why am I always alone".
The boy was crying silently. Tears were streaming down his cheek dripping onto the bed.
"Why can't I… hhh-ugh… have one good thing happen in my life".
"Why, just why" he sniffled.
"WHY"
"just why…"
Suddenly, as he said those words, he felt excruciating pain in his heart causing him to fall backwards onto his pillow.
The machine to his left start started beeping wildly. "BEEP. BEEP. BEEP".
As his vision was darkening and tears were streaming down his face, he said his last words.
"I… I don't wanna die."
"BEEP. BEEP. BEEEEEEEEP".
And his heart finally stopped.
