Kwame noticed Amara's shift. "You okay?"
Amara sighed. "Family stuff. Mum needs me."
Kwame's hand found hers. "I'll drive you."
At her mum's, tensions were high. "Amara, why always events?" her mum scolded.
Amara bristed. Kwame intervened. "Ma, she's chasing her dream. Like I chase mine."
The room softened. Mum smiled weakly "Just be safe."
Kwame winked at Amara "Always."
As they left, Amara leaned on Kwame "Thanks."
