Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Intermediate level

Mo Fan then set aside 12 million for later use and decided against going through a second awakening right now, even if he had extra elements it would take him some time to learn the spells for now it would be more cost effective to break through in one element to intermediate level and master the spell.

After a month long leave from the school he broke to the intermediate level in Lightning element, because of his report Tang Yue was out investigating and coordinating a plan with Zhan Kong and Enforcement to seal the tunnels in Bo without alerting their targets and not in school.

Thier old Practical magic teacher was back, students were lethargic in class and his cultivation was not seen through. Next he spent four months in learning the intermediate spell Thunderbolt and managed to reach level three in Fire Burst, Rupture.

His mental strength was also pushed to the late stages of the First Realm via his cultivation level and the day of the duel soon came.

" You came" said Mo Fan to the icy maga appearing behind him. It was Mu Ningxue his childhood sweetheart.

" You should withdraw from the duel, father has been pouring resources into Yuang like crazy" she spoke giving him no time to flirt with her.

" You know I won't, I am just as no more stubborn than your old man" said Mo Fan spreading his arm holding a beer can to her.

" I don't drink".

" I just wanted it chilled" said he impassively without missing a beat. He had mentally simulated this opportunity a hundred times in his mind and wouldn't be embarrassed by her icy demeanor after all if he could succeed once he could do it a hundred times.

" " My Ningxue took the can from him and spread ice outside the can and simply left before he could say anything else.

After a banquet to allow Mu Yuang to socialize with other dignitaries of Bo City the duel was organised.

When Deng Kai was announcing the rules of the duel Mo Fan noticed that magic equipment wasn't banned, while it wasn't improbable he knew that at the universities when they conducted tests like Beast Battle Tournament or the exchange tournament such equipment wasn't allowed to gauge the levels of the students, although this wasn't a battle held by Tian Lan Magic High, the students of the academy were the participants that faced off against scions of prominent families and lacked such items.

Is it because they know I have one or because Deng Kai was pressured by Mu Zhuoyun. What a crappy Father in law I have.

Soon it was evident even though Mo Fan's Fire element kept pace with Yu Ang and even suppressed him, he could deal no damage due to the equipment Yu Ang was wearing.

Time to up the stakes.

Lightning Strikes Wrath Shock

Purple Lightning extended from his arms and shocked the stunned Yuang into a crisp.

" Lightning Element, is it an equipment, i thought he was nobody?"

" No there was definitely a Star Path involved" principal Zhu who had the highest cultivation bar Zhan Kong quickly analysed.

" Even if he reached intermediate level in the past year, he couldn't have reached the third level of Lightning Strike so soon, therefore he probably has the Innate Dual elements talent" Zhan Kong quickly brought an end to the discussion.

What Zhankong and principal Zhu didn't reveal is the fact that Mo Fan Lightning element had reached the Nebula or intermediate stage, since such a talented mage had appeared in Bo city, protecting him was a matter of principle for them.

As for the rest even if they peak intermediate mages around they were still in the same level as Mo Fan or had lesser levels of mental strength and couldn't see through him. As for Tang Yue who could barely see something when he appeared for the duel.

She had used her authority to check his accounts and saw a purchase of Stardust Vein by Hunter Fan Mo a few months ago in Magic City. Therefore she wasn't too suprised.

As for Mo Fan he shamelessly requested Star Atlas books of Fire element when his teacher came to question him. If not height get those of Lightning element wouldn't that be a loss.
