When Blue-Eyes White Dragon attacked, Roadrunner appeared on Yusei's field.
Roadrunner
ATK 300 / DEF 300
"So it was Roadrunner. Although that card can't be destroyed in battle with monsters that have 1900 or more ATK, you'll still take damage," Kisaragi said.
"I activate the Trap Card Scrap-Iron Scarecrow. When an opponent's monster declares an attack, I can target that attacking monster and negate the attack. After activation, this card is not sent to the Graveyard. It is Set again instead."
"So this is Crab-Bro's exclusive Trap Card, Kakashi?" Kisaragi thought.
"Then I set one card face-down and end my turn!"
Cards in hand: 5
"As expected of the Duel King. You're truly composed," Yusei said with a smile.
"Not at all. You're not bad either. You actually defended against my attack. I was just thinking that attack would definitely deal damage to you," Kisaragi said with a smile.
"My turn. Draw!"
"I summon the Tuner Monster Junk Synchron from my hand in Attack Position!"
Junk Synchron
ATK 1300 / DEF 500
"Next, I Special Summon Junk Servant from my hand. This monster can be Special Summoned from the hand as long as I control a face-up monster with 'Junk' in its name."
Junk Servant
ATK 1500 / DEF 1000
"I tune Level 1 Roadrunner and Level 4 Junk Servant with Level 3 Junk Synchron!"
"Gathered fighting spirit awakens the roaring demon god! Become the shining road of light! Synchro Summon! Crush them, Junk Destroyer!"
Junk Destroyer
ATK 2600 / DEF 2500
"It's actually Junk Destroyer! Tch, this is a little troublesome," Kisaragi said, somewhat displeased.
"I activate Junk Destroyer's special effect. When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can target and destroy cards on the field up to the number of non-Tuner monsters used as its Synchro Materials."
"I used two non-Tuner monsters to Summon Junk Destroyer, so I can destroy two cards on the field. I'll destroy Blue-Eyes White Dragon and that face-down card of yours!"
"That card's effect is really good," Kisaragi said. "But if you want to destroy my monster, I can't just sit here and do nothing."
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card Forbidden Dress. I apply this card to Blue-Eyes White Dragon. This turn, my Blue-Eyes White Dragon cannot be targeted by effects, nor can it be destroyed by effects. However, Blue-Eyes White Dragon's ATK decreases by 600!"
Blue-Eyes White Dragon
ATK 2400 / DEF 2500
"Then Junk Destroyer attacks Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
Aoi Kisaragi LP: 4000 → 3800
"Because my Blue-Eyes White Dragon was destroyed, I can Special Summon this Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon from my hand!"
A Blue-Eyes White Dragon jet appeared on Kisaragi's field.
Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon
ATK 3000 / DEF 0
"As expected of the Duel King. Although she couldn't protect Blue-Eyes White Dragon this way, she minimized the damage she took and summoned another high-level monster at the same time," Yusei thought.
"I set one card face-down and end my turn!"
Cards in hand: 0
"Another face-down card. What a headache," Kisaragi said.
"My turn. Draw!"
"I activate the Spell Card The Melody of Awakening Dragon from my hand. By discarding one card, I can add up to two Dragon monsters with 3000 or more ATK and 2500 or less DEF from my deck to my hand."
"I add Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon from my deck to my hand!"
"Next, by revealing Blue-Eyes White Dragon to you, I can Special Summon this Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon from my hand!"
"Appear, Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!"
Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
"I activate Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon's special effect. Once per turn, I can destroy one monster on your field. However, Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon cannot attack afterward."
"Go, Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon! Destroy Junk Destroyer!"
"What? That monster has a destruction effect too?!" Yusei said.
Junk Destroyer was destroyed by Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon's white light.
"Then Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon attacks the player directly! At this moment, I activate Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon's effect. At the start of the Damage Step when this card battles, I can target one card on my opponent's field and return it to the hand."
"I'll return your Set Scrap-Iron Scarecrow to your hand!"
"Then I activate another Trap Card!" Yusei said.
"I activate the Trap Card Spirit Force!"
"Whoa, looking at the card art, isn't that Vegeta?" Kisaragi silently quipped.
"Spirit Force makes the battle damage I would take from this battle become 0. After that, I can add one Warrior Tuner monster with 1500 or less DEF from my Graveyard to my hand."
"I add Junk Synchron from my Graveyard back to my hand!"
"As expected of a duelist from the future. You really are hard to deal with. I set one card face-down and end my turn!"
Cards in hand: 3
"He's strong. Without Stardust Dragon, it really is difficult to stand against Blue-Eyes White Dragon. And I get the feeling the Duel King still hasn't shown her true strength," Yusei thought.
"My turn. Draw!"
"This is…"
A string of tactical routes appeared in Yusei's mind.
"This combination is the current optimal answer," Yusei thought.
"I summon Junk Synchron from my hand in Attack Position!"
Junk Synchron
ATK 1300 / DEF 500
"When Junk Synchron is Summoned, I can target one Level 2 or lower monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon that monster in Defense Position. The monster Special Summoned by this effect has its effects negated."
"Therefore, I Special Summon Roadrunner from my Graveyard in Defense Position!"
Roadrunner
ATK 300 / DEF 300
"Next, I activate the effect of Doppelwarrior in my hand. When a monster is Special Summoned from my Graveyard, this card can be Special Summoned from my hand."
"Come forth, Doppelwarrior!"
Doppelwarrior
ATK 800 / DEF 800
"I tune Level 2 Doppelwarrior with Level 3 Junk Synchron!"
"Gathered stars awaken a new power! Become the shining road! Synchro Summon! Appear, Junk Warrior!"
Junk Warrior even landed with a split when it appeared.
Junk Warrior
ATK 2300 / DEF 1300
