"So here it is. Split-Leg Warrior. Come to think of it, Yusei actually hasn't used Overworked-to-Death Warrior in this duel. That's rare," Kisaragi thought.
"I activate the effect of Doppelwarrior, which became Synchro Material. When this card is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material, I can Special Summon two Doppel Tokens to my field in Attack Position."
Doppel Token
ATK 400 / DEF 400 ×2
"And during the turn Junk Warrior is Synchro Summoned, this card's ATK rises by the total ATK of all Level 2 or lower monsters I control!"
Junk Warrior
ATK 3400 / DEF 1300
"Battle! Junk Warrior attacks Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon! Scrap Fist!"
Kisaragi pressed the button on her Duel Disk.
"I activate the Continuous Trap Card Toll Hike. Due to this card's effect, neither player can declare an attack unless they send one card from their hand to the Graveyard."
"Yusei, if you want to attack, you'll have to send the Scrap-Iron Scarecrow in your hand to the Graveyard!" Kisaragi said.
"What?! Was all of this part of her open trap?" Yusei thought.
"If I don't attack Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, then next turn, Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon can still destroy my monster, and I'll have no way to turn things around. But if I launch the attack, I won't have any defensive means next turn either."
Yusei gritted his teeth. This was the first time he had been pushed this far by another person.
"I discard Scrap-Iron Scarecrow from my hand! Junk Warrior continues its attack on Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!"
Junk Warrior flew into the air and smashed Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon apart with a single punch.
Aoi Kisaragi LP: 3800 → 3200
"I end my turn!"
Cards in hand: 0
"My turn. Draw!"
"I activate the Spell Card Pot of Greed from my hand and draw two cards from my deck!"
"It looks like this duel can end now!" Kisaragi said.
"What?!" Yusei said in shock.
"I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card Emergency Provisions from my hand. I send Toll Hike and Dragon's Rage from my field to the Graveyard and recover 2000 Life Points!"
Aoi Kisaragi LP: 3200 → 5200
"Next, I activate the Spell Card Monster Reborn and Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my Graveyard!"
Blue-Eyes White Dragon
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
"Then I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card Ultimate Fusion. This card returns monsters from my hand, field, or Graveyard to the deck as Fusion Material, then Fusion Summons one Fusion Monster that uses Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon as material."
"I return Blue-Eyes White Dragon on my field and one Blue-Eyes White Dragon in my hand to the deck! Fusion Summon—Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon!"
Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
"A Fusion Summon by returning materials from the hand and field to the deck?" Yusei said.
"I'm not done yet. I activate Ultimate Fusion's other effect. I can destroy face-up cards on your field up to the number of Blue-Eyes White Dragons and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragons on my field that were used as Fusion Material. Therefore, I can destroy two cards on your field!"
"I destroy Junk Warrior!"
Boom! Boom!
Two clouds of smoke rose from Yusei's field, and Junk Warrior was destroyed.
"It even has card-destruction ability?" Yusei said, shielding his head. "But even if Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon attacks my Doppel Token, my Life Points still won't hit zero!"
"Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon can attack monsters up to twice during the same Battle Phase," Kisaragi said coldly.
"What?!"
"Battle! Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon attacks Doppel Token!"
Yusei Fudo LP: 4000 → 1400
"Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon attacks the other Doppel Token!"
Yusei Fudo LP: 1400 → 0
Aoi Kisaragi wins!
"I lost," Yusei said with a bitter smile.
"Yusei, you didn't use your full strength in that duel, did you? Or maybe your ace monster hasn't appeared yet?" Kisaragi asked.
Yusei froze for a moment at her question, then smiled.
"That's right. I still have an ace monster. But…"
Pain immediately appeared on Yusei's face.
"Does it have something to do with this incident?" Kisaragi asked.
"Yes. In my era, Riding Duels are popular. But one day, I was forcibly dragged into a duel. When I used my ace monster, I don't know what kind of power that person used, but he stole my ace monster, Stardust Dragon."
As Yusei spoke, he took out a card that had become completely blank.
"After that, guided by the Crimson Dragon, I came to this era. Then I met you."
"Looks like you're the same."
Suddenly, someone approached from the distance.
"Who's there?" Yusei immediately became alert.
"Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation."
A brown-haired boy in red clothes walked out.
The instant Kisaragi saw him, her pupils widened, but she quickly calmed herself.
"So future Jaden Yuki came too, just as expected," Kisaragi thought.
"And you are?" Kisaragi asked deliberately.
"It seems the current you doesn't know me yet, Professor Kisaragi. I'm Jaden Yuki. Like Yusei beside you, I crossed over from the future. I imagine it won't be long before you enroll at Duel Academy," Jaden Yuki said.
"Still, Professor Kisaragi, your strength is as incredible as ever. You don't leave any openings at all. And Yusei's Synchro Summoning is really interesting too," Jaden said.
"So in the future, I become your teacher?" Kisaragi asked.
"That's right. I can't say anything more than that. I came here for the same reason as Yusei. My ace Duel Monster card was stolen too. However, when I crossed back to this era, my card recovered. Even so, I came here to stop the person who took my card," Jaden said.
"Looks like before long, there will be an opportunity for me to enter Duel Academy, and then I'll be heading into the GX arc," Kisaragi thought.
"I understand the general situation now. But do you know why that person came to this era?" Kisaragi asked deliberately.
Yusei remained silent. Jaden, on the other hand, knew about this.
"After my monster was stolen, I used a computer to look up some information from the Manjoume Group. I found out that at this point in time, Pegasus will be killed at a duel tournament. If that happens, future Duel Monsters will be affected," Jaden said.
"I see. Pegasus is the father of Duel Monsters. If he is killed, then Duel Monsters won't exist in the future, and the entire world will collapse," Kisaragi said.
"What kind of ridiculous setup is that? Duel Monsters are actually tied to the progress of human development? Is card gaming really everything?" Kisaragi silently complained.
