Chapter 9 - Spatial Connections and Weapons

A researcher dressed in a white lab coat appeared before Luo Suisui, his background suggesting a laboratory setting. His features were sharp and resolute, with a high, straight nose, giving him a foreign appearance.

"Hello, I'm Todd from a high-tech world. Beautiful lady, I'm very interested in the plants in your display window," Todd said slowly, a polite smile masking his true feelings.

In their world, due to excessive technological development, plants were on the verge of extinction and were kept in botanical gardens. He saw a strawberry seedling in Luo Suisui's window; it was the only one left in the botanical garden.

Luo Suisui found his words strangely familiar—it was similar to what she and Hu Tian had said.

She didn't actively propose a transaction. "These were painstakingly collected from various places, requiring a lot of effort. Hearing your appreciation makes me feel that my efforts have paid off."

Todd's chiseled face froze for a moment; why hadn't this tactic worked? But if he bought them, he could only buy ten a day, and he was afraid someone else would buy them all.

So he had no choice but to get straight to the point, "Miss Luo, how many plants do you have? I'd like to trade with you."

Luo Sui's eyes flickered. She had seen spatial buttons appear in the windows of high-tech planes before, but that plane merchant wasn't Todd. She wondered if Todd's plane had them.

She chuckled and asked, "I need spatial buttons to hold items recently. I wonder if Mr. Todd has any." "

I do have the spatial buttons Miss Luo is talking about, but I don't know how many Miss Luo would like to trade with me."

"Mr. Todd, let's not beat around the bush. I'll trade thirty potted plants for three spatial buttons. How about that?"

"That's too few, Miss Luo. The smallest space in my spatial buttons is one hundred square meters," Todd said confidently. He had been using this plane system for quite some time and knew that spatial buttons were rare items in second-level planes.

Luo Suisui remained silent for a moment, then said, "Mr. Todd, the dimensional system already comes with an endless storage space. The space buttons aren't very useful to you, but these plants are very attractive to you, aren't they?"

Seeing that Luo Suisui wasn't giving an inch, and noticing that ten more plants had disappeared from her display case, Todd became anxious and agreed.

"Okay, but of those thirty pots, I want ten strawberry seedlings."

Luo Suisui agreed. She had planted quite a few before, and the two quickly completed the transaction, with her receiving three 100-square-meter space buttons.

This would solve the space issues for her parents and Grandpa Gu.

Luo Suisui guessed that plants were probably scarce in Todd's world, and his insistence on strawberry seedlings meant that edible plants were also rare.

Thinking of this, Luo Suisui proactively asked, "Mr. Todd, do you need any edible vegetable seedlings?"

Todd, who was about to log off, stopped in his tracks. Vegetables? Those were vegetables from history books? They now had to extract juice from plants to make medicine to supplement their vitamins.

This was indeed very tempting to him, and he spoke up eagerly. "If Miss Luo has any, I can trade with you."

Seeing his eagerness, Luo Suisui knew her guess was right. "I recently collected some vegetables and would like to trade them with Mr. Todd for your weapons. How about ten pots for ten weapons?"

After their first transaction, Todd understood that she was someone who wouldn't suffer a loss, so he had no choice but to agree. Anyway, their research institute had quite a few weapons.

Luo Suisui said with satisfaction, "It's grown in a carefully cultivated place. I'll go get it myself. See you in an hour, Mr. Todd." Todd

felt much better upon hearing this. If it was carefully cultivated, he wouldn't be at a huge loss.

After logging off, Luo Suisui went to the Gu family home. After asking the Gu family butler and learning that Grandpa Gu was in his study, she went upstairs with practiced ease.

After knocking on the door, she found that her father opened it for her, and her mother was also there. They must have been discussing something.

"What's the matter, Suisui?" Gu Yuanming asked kindly.

"Grandpa, I want to take ten vegetables from your garden," Luo Suisui said shyly.

"Go ahead, Sui Sui can take as much as she wants. After you're done, come to the study; Grandpa and your parents have something to say to you."

Luo Sui Sui nodded, left, and went to the vegetable garden where Grandpa Gu usually grew vegetables when he was bored.

She picked up a small shovel and started digging. After a short while, the sunlight overhead was suddenly blocked.

Luo Sui Sui looked up and saw Gu Nan Yan, dressed in a suit and tie, with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, calm and composed. He had already taken off his suit and was about to roll up his sleeves.

"Brother Nan Yan?"

"Yes, I'll help you."

Gu Nan Yan reached out and picked up another shovel, and also started digging up the vegetables he had planted.

After less than five minutes, Gu Nan Yan looked up and asked her if this was enough

. Luo Sui Sui looked at the ground and saw about a dozen vegetables. She nodded, put them into her spatial storage, but didn't plan to trade with Todd immediately, otherwise it would seem like the items came too easily.

But Gu Nan Yan didn't stop. He continued digging up Grandpa Gu's vegetables and said to Luo Sui Sui. "I planted many of your favorite fruits and vegetables in the space."

He hadn't been idle during this time either, collecting a lot of supplies, covering everything from clothing and food to shelter and transportation, spending approximately 5 billion. He also prepared many ornaments for her. Midway through, he discovered that the jade jewelry he bought for Sui Sui was missing, later guessing it had been absorbed by the space.

So he also bought a large amount of jade. After the space absorbed the jade, the planting space expanded considerably, and the original wooden house was transformed into a stone house.

Upon hearing this, Luo Sui Sui's eyes lit up, a sweet smile appearing on her pure yet alluring face as she sweetly called out, "Thank you, Brother Nan Yan."

The girl's smile, bathed in light, was radiant.

Gu Nan Yan's heart skipped a beat. "Sui Sui, no need to thank me."

The two chatted casually, and half an hour later, Luo Sui Sui contacted Todd, and the two traded items. Todd gave her five lightsabers and five laser guns.

When she came to her senses, she realized that Gu Nanyan had already harvested all the vegetables in the garden. "Brother Nanyan, won't Grandpa be angry?"

Gu Nanyan slowly patted the dirt off his hands and said in a deep voice, "It's alright. The weather is getting hotter and hotter; if we leave them out any longer, they'll just die from the sun."

The old man didn't want anyone to come into the garden and took care of it himself, so he wasn't worried about anyone noticing.

Luo Suisui looked around to make sure no one was watching, took out the weapon she had just acquired, handed Gu Nanyan a lightsaber, and explained how to use it.
