Chapter 1: Reborn in Marvel – The Myriad Worlds Lottery System

Mid-September, Nan City.

The scorching summer was finally fading, and the heat had begun to loosen its grip on the city. People filled the streets, going about their daily routines—everything seemed perfectly ordinary.

In a cheap apartment building, Room 401, a bespectacled young man with handsome features sat glued to his computer screen. He occasionally sipped from a can of soda—the classic "otaku happiness fuel"—clearly savoring this laid-back lifestyle.

Posters covered his walls: Naruto, One Piece, the unmistakable decor of a dedicated anime fan.

His name was Tang Tian, 22 years old. A recent graduate from the Electromechanical University, he was currently unemployed and making the most of his free time.

Right now, Avengers: Endgame was playing on his screen. When Iron Man snapped his fingers, Tang Tian felt a real jolt. It gave him a fresh perspective on what "superhero" truly meant.

"Damn, that was epic… But what a shame Iron Man had to die. If only some insanely powerful hero had shown up to help him back then."

Tang Tian rubbed his tired eyes, sighing with genuine regret.

Suddenly, as he grumbled, his monitor flickered off—then back on—with a pop-up window appearing out of nowhere:

"Detected your wish. The great Creator God is about to grant you the power to save the Marvel Universe. Please select your desired cheat/golden finger."

"Huh? Am I hallucinating? Some kind of virus?"

Curious and reckless, Tang Tian typed into the blank field: "Myriad Worlds Lottery System. Note: Each completed mission grants one lottery draw chance to randomly obtain miraculous items, bloodlines, etc., from the myriad worlds."

The moment he finished, his vision went black. A genderless voice echoed in his ears:

"Ding! Host request accepted. Myriad Worlds Lottery System successfully bound. Commencing transmission to the Marvel world. Timeline randomly set: Before the events of Iron Man. Destination: New York City. Host will receive one beginner lottery draw upon arrival."

When Tang Tian regained consciousness, his eyes were wide with shock, panic, and disbelief—like someone jolted awake from a nightmare.

A sharp pain in his abdomen made him look down. Thick bandages wrapped his stomach, seeping fresh blood—clear signs of a serious injury.

The room was a luxurious hospital suite, far from anything in China. A sign read "New York-Presbyterian Hospital" in English.

Two white bodyguards stood respectfully nearby. Seeing him struggle to sit up, they moved quickly—professional, military-trained movements.

Moments later, memories from this parallel world's version of himself flooded in.

Tang Tian's face twisted. He cursed under his breath: "Holy shit… I actually transmigrated. And into the extremely dangerous Marvel world, no less."

Yes—he had crossed over. The moment he accepted that "Creator God's" offer, there was no going back.

The good news: He was still named Tang Tian here. He was the third-largest shareholder and heir of Hammer Industries. His "parents" in this world had died in a plane crash, leaving him sole control of several billion dollars in assets.

Hammer Industries' president was Justin Hammer—the same one who would later make a fool of himself in Iron Man 2, a company destined to collapse thanks to Whiplash and become a stepping stone for Tony Stark's fame.

The bad news: In this universe, Hammer Industries was nowhere near the level of Stark Industries or the truly powerful players. Future events would prove that brutally.

"Ding! System initialization complete. Memory infusion complete. Myriad Worlds Lottery System officially activated."

"Ding! Host has one lottery draw available. Can activate at any time."

"Ding! Mission mode activated: Trigger-based. Approach the center of major 'events' to receive missions and earn draw opportunities."

As Tang Tian assessed his situation, the system's voice rang again—this time bringing a spark of excitement instead of confusion.

Since he couldn't return, fine. With the Myriad Worlds Lottery System, he could keep drawing, growing stronger. Surviving—and thriving—in the perilous Marvel world suddenly felt possible.

He calmed down and began thinking strategically: What could he use right now?

The two bodyguards approached, their expressions a mix of relief, excitement, and guilt.

"You're awake, young master. Thank God. We're so relieved you're safe."

One of them, wearing sunglasses, spoke with concern.

"I'm fine, Rambo. More importantly—what happened before I passed out? The car was attacked. Have you investigated?"

Tang Tian composed himself, eyeing Rambo and the other bodyguard, Sean. He folded his arms, expression serious.

As a major shareholder, he naturally had protection. Rambo and Sean had guarded him for over a decade.

This incident should be easy to trace with Hammer Industries' resources.

"It was like this, young master: Before you lost consciousness, a shootout broke out in Manhattan. Our investigation shows it was between the Punisher and Kingpin. Their fight spilled over and caught you in the crossfire."

Sean handed over a report.

Tang Tian's face darkened as he read it. He felt pity for his original body's carelessness—one moment of negligence, and it was game over.

Marvel was far more chaotic than he'd imagined. Gods, black tech, superheroes, magic, aliens… This little incident was just an appetizer.

"I see. You two can go now. I'll handle my own revenge for this."

Tang Tian's expression smoothed out. He decided to shelve the grudge for now. Once he had real power, he'd settle scores with Kingpin and the Punisher properly.

Time was limited. Thanos was coming—half the universe would vanish in a snap. To avoid becoming collateral, Tang Tian had to rely on the system, keep triggering missions, keep drawing, keep growing.

To get stronger, he'd have to court danger—seek out events, trigger tasks, claim rewards. That was his path now.

Anyone who stood in his way… was an enemy.

And so, the future's most powerful supervillain began to awaken.
