Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 — Isekai Time, Apparently

The night air was cool, carrying with it the faint scent of rain-soaked asphalt and distant street food.

A young man—barely twenty—walked down the roadside with his hands tucked casually into his pockets, completely absorbed in his thoughts.

There was nothing remarkable about him.

Average height,Average build, Slightly messy black hair. A face you would forget minutes after seeing it.

He was the kind of person who blended into crowds without effort.

At that moment, he was thinking about nothing particularly important—just the usual things. Whether he should rewatch that anime he liked. Whether he should start exercising tomorrow. Whether instant noodles counted as a proper dinner.

Normal thoughts for a normal life.

Which was precisely why what happened next felt so absurd.

A blinding pair of headlights suddenly appeared in his peripheral vision.

Before his brain could even process what was happening, there was the screech of tires, the deafening roar of an engine, and a violent impact that swallowed the world whole.

Pain.

A sharp, crushing pain that lasted only an instant.

Then—

Darkness.

As his consciousness slipped away, a single thought floated through his fading mind.

'I swear… I just heard… isekai time, bitch…'

And then everything went black.

Silence.

An endless, profound silence.

When awareness returned, it came slowly—like waking from a deep sleep.

"…Ah…"

The young man blinked.

"…Where am I?"

His voice sounded strangely clear, echoing into infinity.

He froze.

Because what lay before him was not darkness.

It was the universe itself. Countless stars shimmered in every direction. Galaxies spiraled like luminous storms of color. Nebulae glowed with impossible hues, painting the void with cosmic artistry.

There was no ground beneath his feet.

No sky above his head.

Only an endless sea of stars.

His jaw dropped.

"…Okay," he muttered, staring around in stunned disbelief. "Either I'm dreaming… or I'm dead."

"Oh, you're definitely dead."

The voice came from behind him.

Calm. Smooth. Almost amused.

The young man spun around.

Standing a few steps away was… a person.

At least, something shaped like one.

The figure was tall, dressed in elegant clothing that seemed woven from starlight itself. Their presence radiated an indescribable pressure—not threatening, but vast, like standing before an ocean that stretched beyond the horizon.

The stranger's expression held mild curiosity, as if observing an interesting insect.

"Ohh, so here you are," the figure said casually. "Before you start asking stupid questions, I'll tell you the important part first."

"You are dead."

The young man stared at them for a moment.

Then he sighed.

"I can see that I'm dead," he replied, rubbing his forehead. "I mean, I'm floating in space talking to a glowing person. That's not exactly subtle."

He looked up again.

"Anyway… who are you?"

The stranger smiled faintly.

"Oh yes, proper introductions are in order. How rude of me." They placed a hand over their chest with theatrical elegance. "I am what you mortals would call a Random Omnipotent Being."

A brief pause.

"You may refer to me as ROB, for short."

The young man blinked.

"…ROB?"

His eyes slowly widened.

"…Wait."

A grin spread across his face.

"Does that mean… I'm going to get isekai'd?"

For the first time, the being laughed.

A rich, amused sound that echoed through the cosmos.

"Hahaha! It's good that you catch on quickly," ROB said. "Yes. You are going to be reincarnated into another world."

They spread their arms slightly, as if presenting a grand gift.

"You should rejoice, mortal. Not only am I granting you a second chance at life, I will also grant you two wishes."

For a moment, the young man simply stared.

Then—

"Wait, you are giving me wishes too?!"

His excitement exploded instantly.

"That's awesome!"

ROB chuckled softly, clearly entertained.

"So," the young man continued eagerly, "which world are you reincarnating me into?"

ROB's smile turned mysterious.

"That," they said, "is a surprise."

"…Seriously?"

"Yes."

The young man narrowed his eyes slightly but decided not to press further.

Instead, another concern surfaced.

"I'll have my memories, right?" he asked quickly. "You're not going to erase them or anything?"

ROB tilted their head.

"Of course not. What would be the point of reincarnation if I erased your memories?" they replied with faint amusement.

The young man visibly relaxed.

"Hoo… that's a relief."

All the knowledge. All the experiences. All the anime tropes he had learned over the years.

Those were valuable assets.

"Alright then," he said, cracking his knuckles with excitement. "I should make my wishes now, right?"

"Yes," ROB replied. "However, there are rules."

Their tone became slightly more serious.

"You cannot ask for more wishes. And you cannot request something excessively overpowered beyond the balance of the world you will enter."

The young man nodded.

"Fair enough."

He crossed his arms, thinking deeply.

Two wishes…This was important.

He couldn't waste them.

After several moments, his eyes lit up.

"Yes. I've got it."

He looked directly at ROB.

"For my first wish… I want the best talent and the highest potential in any field I choose."

ROB raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"I want to be able to excel at anything," the young man continued confidently. "Combat, magic, knowledge, crafting—whatever I decide to pursue. I want my growth ceiling to be the absolute highest possible."

ROB considered this for a moment "Interesting," they murmured.

"And for my second wish," the young man said, unable to hide his excitement, "I want the Golden Rule of Gilgamesh."

For the first time, ROB looked genuinely impressed.

"…Hmm."

A slow smile appeared on their face.

"A very good choice, if I may say so myself."

They nodded slightly.

"Very well. I will grant you these two wishes."

The young man clenched his fists internally in triumph.

Yes!

This was perfect.

With unparalleled talent and potential, he would never be mediocre again.

And the Golden Rule—

That was practically cheating.

Unlimited wealth. Unlimited resources.

If the world had magic, it would likely translate into never running out of mana as well.

Even if he reincarnated into a normal world, he would dominate through skill and intelligence alone.

And if it was a fantasy world?

Then he was set for life.

This is going to be amazing…

He took a deep breath, steadying himself.

"I'm ready," he said firmly. "Send me to another world."

ROB looked at him for a moment.

Then they smiled.

"If that is your wish… then off you go."

They flicked their hand casually—

Like swatting away a fly.

The universe shattered.

Light consumed everything.

And the young man's consciousness disappeared once more.
