I was never anyone special.
In my world, I was the kind of person who flew under the radar: clumsy when walking, worse when speaking, and completely hopeless when it came to romance. While others knew what to say, how to smile, or when to hold someone's hand, I could barely hold a conversation without tripping over my own words. I had no luck with girls, nor any memorable stories to tell. Just a quiet, ordinary... and lonely life.
Until the day I died.
I remember the sound of hooves pounding the dirt of the racetrack, the gasp of the crowd, and then, a brutal impact that knocked the breath out of me. The world went white and, for a moment, I thought that was it. That my life would end the exact same way it had played out: without leaving a mark.
But when I opened my eyes, I wasn't dead.
I found myself lying in a massive bed, surrounded by elegant curtains and a soft scent I had never experienced before. The ceiling was high, luxurious, and the sunlight filtered through large windows that seemed straight out of a palace. Before I could process what was happening, I heard footsteps... and voices.
Female voices.
Turning my head, I saw them.
Girls with horse ears, tails swaying naturally, and a presence that commanded respect, elegance, or boundless energy depending on who it was. They were all looking at me intently. Some with curiosity, others with refined serenity, and others... with a warmth that made me look away immediately.
The Mejiro family.
I didn't know why I was there. I didn't know why I had been brought to their mansion, nor why their gazes seemed heavy with expectations I couldn't comprehend. The only thing I understood was this: this was no longer my world, and I was not the right person to face what awaited me.
And yet, for some incomprehensible reason, they all seemed interested in me.
Without realizing it, I had been thrust into a new life: one full of feelings I didn't know how to interpret, choices I never thought I'd have to make, and a destiny that, sooner or later, would force me to choose just one of them.
This is the story of how an ordinary boy, with a clumsy but sincere heart, woke up in a mansion full of horse girls... and how that new world changed his life forever.
