Part 1: The First Look
It was a rainy afternoon in Kolkata. The sky was grey, and the smell of wet soil filled the air. Ananya was standing at the bus stop, holding her umbrella tightly. She had just finished her classes and was tired.
Suddenly, a strong wind blew. Her umbrella almost flew away — but before it could, someone caught it.
"Careful," a soft voice said.
She looked up.
There he was.
Tall, calm, with gentle eyes and a shy smile. His name was Arjun.
"Thank you," Ananya said softly.
"It's okay. I think the rain likes dramatic entries," he joked.
She smiled a little. It had been a long time since someone made her smile so easily.
The bus was late. So they stood there… talking about small things — college, dreams, favorite food, silly teachers. The rain kept falling, but somehow, it didn't feel cold anymore.
When the bus finally came, Arjun stepped back.
"Maybe we'll meet again," he said.
Ananya nodded, not knowing why her heart was beating so fast.
As the bus moved away, she looked back through the window.
He was still standing there.
And for the first time… the rain felt like the beginning of something beautiful. 💫
