Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Part 4: The First Little Fight

Love was beautiful.

But love was also new.

One day, Arjun didn't reply to Ananya's messages for hours.

No "good morning."

No call after class.

She tried to act normal.

But her heart felt heavy.

Why is he so busy? Did I say something wrong?

When he finally called in the evening, she answered coldly.

"Oh, now you remember me?"

Arjun sounded surprised. "Ananya, I had back-to-back classes and my phone died."

"You could have told me earlier," she said softly, but her voice had hurt in it.

There was silence.

Not angry silence.

Sad silence.

After a moment, Arjun spoke gently.

"I'm sorry. I didn't realize it would make you feel ignored."

That sentence melted her anger.

Because he didn't argue.

He didn't blame.

He understood.

"I just… missed you," she admitted quietly.

Arjun smiled on the other side of the phone.

"I missed you too. A lot."

The next day, he was waiting outside her class with her favorite chocolate.

"For the world's most dramatic girl," he teased.

She tried to stay serious.

But failed.

Sometimes love isn't about never fighting.

It's about choosing each other after every small misunderstanding.

And as they walked side by side again, fingers brushing slightly, they both realized—

This wasn't just a crush anymore.

This was something they wanted to protect. 💞
