Chapter 235 - Chapter 235: Jiren: A Man Stronger Than Broly?

"Eh?" Bulma looked down in shock at her figure, which had returned to its original state. Her fingers brushed over her waist in disbelief, her mouth slightly open, and her eyes sparkling with an incredible light.

Everything had happened so fast that Bulma found it hard to adapt for a moment.

The child was born just like that?

"Please take her, Ms. Bulma," Whis said with a smile, carefully handing the swaddled infant to Bulma.

Bulma's hands trembled as she reached out, taking the newly born life with extreme gentleness.

She gazed down at the infant in her arms, her eyes filled with the soft light of motherhood.

The little one, having finally realized they had arrived in the world, wrinkled their small face and let out a loud cry.

The crying was exceptionally clear.

"This way, even if the universe is erased, Ms. Bulma should have no regrets," Whis said in a peaceful tone, maintaining his elegant smile.

Bulma: "..."

Bulma opened her mouth but didn't know how to respond.

Although Whis's words made sense, she felt like something was a bit off about them.

Vegeta's eyes widened even further, his jaw dropping slightly, revealing a look of utter disbelief.

Vegeta stared intently at the infant in Bulma's arms, then looked at Whis, his brow furrowed with confusion.

"This is amazing, Mr. Whis! It turns out giving birth is such a simple thing!" Bulma finally recovered from her shock and excitedly held her daughter high.

The sunlight fell on the infant's pink cheeks and also illuminated Bulma's brilliant smile.

Vegeta also stepped forward, his originally stern face softening the moment he saw his daughter.

He gently extended a finger and cautiously touched the infant's small hand, his eyes filled with a rare tenderness.

"This way, having a few more won't be a problem," Bulma giggled, pulling her daughter back into her arms. "In the future, I'll have to rely on Mr. Whis for childbirth."

"Of course, provided this universe isn't erased," Whis nodded readily, his scepter shimmering with a subtle light in the sun.

"That's... that's right... now is not the time to be happy!" Vegeta's voice was low, his hands involuntarily clenching into fists. "So, we must win this competition no matter what!"

"But with you, Goku, and Broly around, there shouldn't be any major problems, right?" Bulma asked hurriedly, a hint of expectation in her eyes.

"Let's hope so," Vegeta said with a grim expression, looking into the distance, his brow clouded with a layer of gloom.

"Mr. Whis, can my mom's child be handled the same way?" Son Goku suddenly turned to ask Whis, pointing to Gine, who was standing nearby with a large belly.

Gine scratched her head a bit sheepishly, a faint blush appearing on her face.

She gently stroked her round belly, her eyes filled with both expectation and a hint of shyness.

Bardock stood closely by his wife's side, like a guardian deity.

"Of course, no problem," Whis nodded.

With that, Whis gave a gentle glare.

Pa!

Gine's belly instantly returned to being flat.

At the same time, a small infant appeared out of thin air in the middle of the sky, slowly descending.

Whis skillfully wrapped the infant in another blanket and gently handed it to Gine.

The infant let out a faint sob, its small fingers lightly scratching the air.

"It's a girl!" Gine carefully held the small infant in her arms, the soft swaddle wrapping the tiny figure. Her eyes were full of irrepressible joy, and even her voice trembled with excitement.

Bardock also leaned in, his rough fingertips lightly brushing against the infant's delicate cheek. His usually cold and hard gaze softened quite a bit.

"Bardock, give the child a name," Gine looked up at him, her tone so gentle it could melt water.

"Rose," Bardock said without much hesitation, his low voice uttering the name that had been lingering in his heart for a long time.

"Eh? You want to eat shredded meat?" Son Goku suddenly blinked and scratched the back of his head with a confused expression.

Son Goku even smacked his lips, and his serious look as he pondered "shredded meat" caused the air to fall silent instantly.

Bardock: "..."

Gine: "..."

The couple glanced at each other, both seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes.

This son's train of thought really has never 'disappointed' anyone.

"How about... we change the name, Bardock?" Gine coughed lightly, trying to ignore Son Goku's words as she made a suggestion.

Bardock silently wiped a non-existent bead of sweat from his forehead and mused for a moment: "Tarola... let's call her Tarola."

Bardock sighed in his heart.

I had thought about the name Rose for so long.

In the end, Kakarot's one sentence threw it off track, and now I don't even want to mention it again.

This is truly too much!

On the other side, Raditz quietly let out a sigh of relief, the heart that had been hanging finally settling down.

Thank goodness it's a sister!

If it's a sister, she probably won't have to grind her power level like I do, right?

My current power level is only this much; I'm not even qualified to participate in this Tournament of Power!

If another brother were added...

Dad would probably force me to train even harder.

"Raditz, don't think you can relax your training just because it's a sister!" Bardock seemed to see through his thoughts and suddenly turned to look at him, his expression instantly becoming serious. "Your power level must be raised as quickly as possible! Do you hear me clearly?"

Raditz's mouth twitched, and he hurriedly nodded like he was pounding garlic, the heart he had just let down rising again.

It seemed there was no hope of slacking off.

"It's a sister!" Son Goku leaned in front of the infant, curiously poking his head to take a look.

"Come, sister, let big brother give you a hug," Son Goten also leaned in, rubbing his hands with an expectant look.

"Idiot! Goten, we should call her Aunt!" Son Gohan helplessly rubbed his brother's head and couldn't help but correct him.

"Uh... is that so?" Son Goten scratched his head with a look of sudden realization.

Not far away, Bulma pulled on Vegeta's arm, her face full of smiles: "Vegeta, I've already thought of a name for our daughter. Let's call her Bulla!"

Vegeta: "..."

Vegeta looked at Bulma's excited appearance and silently complained in his heart.

You didn't intend to let me participate in the naming at all, did you?

This tone is clearly a notification, not a discussion!

After Son Goku and the others finalized the list of contestants, they had a lively feast at Bulma's house, quietly waiting for the Tournament of Power to begin.

...

Universe 11, Planet Bas.

"Gugu-gu! You've finally come! Pride Troopers!"

A massive giant crab spoke in human tongue, its two huge claws waving at its sides as it looked down with a smile at the five figures in red skin-tight suits below.

These five were the members of the Pride Troopers, led by Dyspo.

At this moment, the city had been completely occupied by this giant crab and the small crab army it led.

These crabs, having been steamed and eaten by humans for years, had unexpectedly awakened their consciousness and rose up in resistance, unable to bear it any longer.

Under the lead of the giant crab, the crab army launched a frantic slaughter of the humans in the city.

They hated humans to the core.

Especially when humans ate them, they always liked to film videos to show off.

One video even said: "When steaming crabs, the crabs keep eating ginger shreds, which shows they just feel a bit uncomfortable and will get better after eating something."

What a 'they'll get better after eating some ginger shreds'!

The crabs were mad with rage: You have no idea how much it hurts!

The crab army's surprise attack caused heavy casualties among the humans in the city.

The races on this planet were very diverse.

All sorts of creatures lived together, and faced with the fierce crab army, they had no power to fight back at all. They could only flee in all directions, looking miserable.

After receiving the news, the Pride Troopers immediately rushed to support.

"Let's go, everyone!" Dyspo stood at the very front of the team. As soon as he finished speaking, his figure charged toward the crab army like an arrow leaving the bowstring, taking the lead in the attack.

The giant crab was not to be outdone, waving its claws and screaming: "Brothers, go! Snip them all to pieces!"

For a time, the two sides engaged in a fierce slaughter.

At the same time, there were Pride Trooper members providing cover from a distance, helping the trapped humans escape.

Paji!

A female human with a figure like a small dog accidentally fell to the ground in her panic. Her knee hit the rubble, and the pain almost brought tears to her eyes.

And a small crab, not much larger than her, waved its two small claws, "clack-clack," as it landed in front of her with a smug smile on its face.

The dog-human trembled with fear and cried out repeatedly: "Don't, don't come over!"

"You dog, you've eaten crabs too, haven't you?" The small crab glared at her, its tone full of anger.

"I-I've never eaten a crab!" The dog-human panicked and hurriedly waved her hands in defense, her voice trembling.

"It's not that you haven't eaten them; you just don't dare to admit it in front of me!" The small crab snorted coldly and suddenly waved its claws, lunging toward her arm.

The dog-human closed her eyes in fear, despairingly waiting for the pain to arrive.

At this critical moment.

Bang!

A red figure sped from a distance, so fast it was only a blur.

Dyspo kicked the small crab, sending it flying and crashing into a nearby wall, where it lost consciousness.

"Are you alright, Ms. Dog?" Dyspo retracted his attack, turned around, and smiled gently at the dog-human.

Dog-human: "..."

The dog-human's mouth twitched, and she silently complained in her heart.

Even if you just called me 'Miss,' it would sound much better than 'Ms. Dog'!

"Bastard! You actually dare to harm my children! I won't forgive you!" Seeing this, the giant crab flew into a rage. Its massive body suddenly turned, waving its two thick claws as it charged toward Dyspo.

Dyspo wasn't panicked at all, the corner of his mouth turning up slightly in a confident arc.

An attack of this level was nothing to him.

"You rabbit, you've surely eaten many of my clansmen! Today I'll tear you into ten thousand pieces!" The giant crab roared, its claws carrying the sound of whistling wind as they stabbed toward Dyspo's chest.

Shoo!

Just then, a golden stream of light suddenly shot from a distance, accurately striking one of the giant crab's claws.

Bang!

Accompanied by a loud bang, the giant crab's claw broke into two pieces on the spot. The massive crab claw fell from the air and hit the ground with a dull thud.

The giant crab froze in place, its remaining claw trembling slightly, its face filled with terror.

It never expected that the opponent would have a helper!

Dyspo looked in the direction the attack came from, and a smile immediately appeared on his face: "Captain, you're here?"

"Let me join you as well, Dyspo," Toppo's voice came as he slowly walked forward, his gaze falling on the giant crab with a serious expression.

"Where were you just now, Captain?" Dyspo asked curiously.

"Lord Belmod had something to discuss with me," Toppo replied in a flat tone.

"So it was the God of Destruction who looked for you!" Dyspo had a sudden realization and couldn't help but remark, "Being a God of Destruction candidate is indeed different; even the God of Destruction himself often talks to you!"

"By the way, where's Jiren? Why isn't he here?" Toppo looked around and didn't see Jiren, so he asked in confusion.

"He went to Planet Towalai," Dyspo explained. "The Oshuraite people escaped from the Galactic Prison again. He said he'd come over after resolving the matters there. It'll probably take some time."

"Is it that border planet?" Toppo mused for a moment, his brow slightly furrowed. "The situation over there is indeed troublesome enough. The Oshuraite people have always been very cunning."

"Gugu-gu! Gugu-gugu!"

As the two were talking, the giant crab suddenly let out a series of strange cries.

Immediately after, a large amount of white foam sprayed from its mouth.

The foam surged like a tide toward the position where Toppo, Dyspo, and the others were, instantly submerging them in foam.

"Oh no! My body can't move!" Dyspo tried to struggle, but found that the foam was sticky, tightly wrapping around his body and making him unable to move. His face immediately darkened.

"Dammit! There's something wrong with this foam!" Toppo also struggled a few times, several veins bulging on his forehead, but it was also to no avail.

The other members of the Pride Troopers were not spared either, being swallowed by the foam one after another, and for a time, they all fell into the predicament of being unable to move.

"You bastard!" Dyspo flew into a rage, and the energy within his body began to condense, intending to forcibly break through the foam and launch an attack on the giant crab.

"Stop it, Dyspo!" Toppo hurriedly stopped him. "If you launch an attack now, it'll be easy to accidentally injure the surrounding citizens!"

Dyspo grit his teeth, looking at the humans fleeing in panic not far away, and could only forcefully suppress his anger.

Toppo was right; he couldn't let innocent people be harmed because of a moment of impulsiveness.

"Gugu-gu! You've finally met your match!" Seeing this, the giant crab laughed frantically, its laughter full of smugness.

However, just at that moment.

A red stream of light suddenly flashed across the distant sky.

That stream of light was extremely fast, carrying a sharp aura as it whistled toward the giant crab's location.

The giant crab was slightly taken aback and subconsciously sensed that powerful aura, unable to help but turn its head to look behind.

When it saw that red stream of light shooting toward it at an extremely high speed, the smile on its face instantly froze, replaced by deep fear.

This red stream of light was Jiren!

Jiren descended from the sky, his speed so fast that his movements couldn't be seen clearly.

He pressed down on the giant crab's head and slammed it hard into the ground.

Boom!

The giant crab didn't even have time to let out a scream before it was dragged by Jiren like an excavator, carving a long trench in the ground, and finally being deeply embedded into the earth, leaving a massive crater.

Toppo, Dyspo, and the others on the scene were all stunned, their faces filled with shock.

Jiren's speed had actually become faster again!

Before they could recover from their shock, Jiren was already holding one of the giant crab's claws and soaring into the sky from the depths of the crater.

He held the giant crab high in the air, and his arm suddenly projected one golden ring of light after another.

Those rings of light quickly covered the giant crab's body, contracting as if they were alive.

Pa!

The giant crab's body shrank at a speed visible to the naked eye. Its originally massive body soon became a small, oval-shaped object only the size of a pinky finger.

Jiren casually caught the small object and stuffed it into his pocket, as if he had just done a trivial matter.

"Jiren! You came so fast!" Dyspo was the first to react and hurriedly walked forward to greet him, his tone full of wonder.

"Didn't you go to Planet Towalai? How did you get back so fast?" Toppo also stepped forward and asked in confusion.

"The problem with the Oshuraite people has been resolved, so I came over immediately," Jiren replied flatly, his face showing no ripple of emotion.

"You didn't fly directly from Planet Towalai, did you? Without a spaceship?" Dyspo's mouth twitched as he asked in disbelief.

The distance between Planet Towalai and Planet Bas would take half a day even in the fastest spaceship.

Jiren had actually flown directly?

"Yes, it's faster this way," Jiren nodded, his tone calm.

"You're still such a capable flyer..." Dyspo couldn't help but remark, his heart filled with even more respect for Jiren's strength.

"Since the matter has been resolved, let's gather first. I have something important to tell you," Toppo said with a serious expression, tucking away his surprise.

"Save the citizens here first," Jiren added with a grave expression, glancing at the trapped humans around them.

"Al... alright," Toppo nodded hurriedly and immediately organized the team members to clear the foam and rescue the trapped citizens.

With the efforts of the Pride Troopers, the city soon returned to peace.

The surviving citizens gathered around, thanking them repeatedly, their eyes full of gratitude.

If the Pride Troopers hadn't arrived in time, they would have likely become a meal for the crab army.

After the citizens dispersed, Toppo looked at Jiren and said in a deep voice, "Jiren, I have a very important matter to tell you." He then looked at Dyspo and the others, "You all come over and listen too."

Jiren was slightly taken aback and nodded.

"What major event is it?" Dyspo asked curiously, a hint of a premonition already forming in his heart.

"In about twenty hours, a multiversal Tournament of Power will be held..." Toppo paused and told Jiren, Dyspo, and the others all the information about the rules, participating teams, and final rewards of the Tournament of Power.

"Tournament of Power? A multiversal competition?" Dyspo was stunned for a moment, then as if thinking of something, his face instantly changed.

At this moment, the figure of Broly involuntarily surfaced in Dyspo's mind.

That terrifying guy who had once beaten them so badly they couldn't fight back.

"Then... will Broly participate too?" Dyspo hurriedly asked nervously.

"He probably will," Toppo nodded, his tone certain.

"Broly?" Hearing this name, Jiren's body jolted, his hands involuntarily clenching, and a sharp look flashed in his eyes.

"Jiren, are you confident you can deal with him?" Toppo asked worriedly, seeing his reaction.

"This time, I will definitely defeat him! Broly!" Jiren's voice was low and firm, his expression more serious than ever before.

Ever since his last defeat to Broly, he had been training frantically.

The current Jiren was confident he could wipe away his past humiliation.

"Really? Jiren, did you train hard after you went back?" Dyspo became excited upon hearing this, an expectant look appearing on his face.

Jiren didn't speak, but his gaze became even sharper.

The determination in that gaze said everything.

Toppo, however, lowered his head and remained silent, his brow tightly furrowed, wondering what he was thinking.

"Captain, what's wrong?" Dyspo noticed his abnormality and hurriedly stepped forward to comfort him. "Since Jiren says he's confident in defeating Broly, we shouldn't have any major problems this time. Don't worry."

Toppo looked up, glanced at Dyspo, then at Jiren. He opened his mouth but ultimately just let out a soft sigh and didn't speak.

He knew in his heart that the opponents in the Tournament of Power weren't just Broly...

After a long silence.

"There's something... I don't know if I should say it," Toppo frowned, his eyes flickering, his tone carrying obvious hesitation.

Toppo was truly worried that once these words were out, they would dampen the fighting spirit Jiren had just ignited.

"What is it? Just say it directly; don't hem and haw," Dyspo patted his shoulder and laughed, breaking the heavy atmosphere.

Toppo didn't respond, but turned his gaze toward Jiren, his expression so complex it was impossible to guess his thoughts.

"Speak," Jiren said flatly, sensing his gaze. His tone carried no emotion, yet it held an unquestionable power.

"Forget it... I didn't want to mention it," Toppo took a deep breath, as if he had made up his mind. "But this matter is too important; I still have to say it. Since we're participating in the Tournament of Power, knowing sooner is better than knowing later."

As he spoke, Toppo's tone became increasingly grave, his voice even lower than before.

"What on earth is it? Stop keeping us in suspense!" Dyspo scratched his hair in a hurry, his face full of impatience.

"This time, I followed Lord Belmod to pay our respects to Zeno. There... I saw a guy even more terrifying than Broly." As soon as Toppo's words were out, they seemed to carry a thousand pounds of weight, and his face looked extremely grim.

"What?! Stronger than Broly?" Dyspo's eyes instantly widened, and he cried out in shock, his voice changing pitch.

He had seen firsthand how terrifying Broly was.

Now there was actually someone even stronger than Broly?

Jiren's brow also twitched slightly, and an imperceptible ripple flashed in his originally calm eyes.

The other members of the Pride Troopers also sucked in a breath of cold air, looking at each other, all seeing the shock in each other's eyes.

They had long heard about Jiren being stomped by Broly, and now another even stronger one had appeared. How were they supposed to fight in this Tournament of Power?

"Who is he? Which universe is he from?" Dyspo hurriedly asked, his heart still pounding from the news.
