Chapter 339 - OPHK: Chapter 339

"Hahaha!"

Mannolos hefted the submarine up, jaws gaping — ever since arriving in this world, he had picked up the habit of trying to eat anything he could grab.

Suddenly a young man stepped out, wrapped in a fluffy fur hat and carrying a massive nodachi, looking no older than eighteen.

"Hey! You monster — don't just eat everything you see!" he shouted.

"ROOM — SHAMBLES!"

Once more the pale blue sphere unfurled.

The submarine vanished from Mannolos's grip and reappeared thirty meters above the waves, crashing hard onto the surface.

In its place, Mannolos now held a tiny seabird.

"Now that's interesting," Yasopp said, finally perking up after half the voyage spent dozing over his drink.

"What Devil Fruit is that? Teleportation? Object swapping? Definitely a Paramecia — and a high‑tier one at that!"

The whole crew leaned in, fascinated. That single move marked it as a power far above most others.

"Indeed…" Grimm smirked. He had not expected to run into such a promising lad here.

The young man steadied his hat, nearly slipping into the sea, and yelled back into the sub: "Bepo — full speed ahead, get us out of here!"

BUZZ!!!

The air warped violently — but the ship stayed frozen, unable to move an inch.

He looked down to see a colossal golden angelic figure holding the submarine in one hand.

"What — ugh!"

He tried to spring into action, but his legs gave way, stumbling against the rail. "Damn it… only two uses and I'm already drained…"

Trafalgar Law stared up at the golden giant, then at the Holy Light banners fluttering all around.

"Why… why is an Emperor here?"

CRUNCH!

The angel squeezed tight, shaking the submarine like a dice cup. Law clung to the rail, dizzy and terrified.

Inside the cockpit, Bepo and the rest of the Heart Pirates were tossed end over end.

In less than three seconds, a massive lump had already swelled on the polar bear's head.

"Lord Grimm himself — never thought we'd draw his eye!"

"Is he after that boy's power?"

Everyone paused to watch as the golden figure shook the vessel for a dozen seconds, then slammed it face‑down onto the deck of the Revolutionary Dragon.

Bepo lay sprawled on the floor, vision swimming.

"Is… is it over?"

Shachi clamped a hand over her mouth, scrambling to the corner — until she could hold it no longer and retched loudly, filling the cramped space with a stench.

"Shachi, you idiot — go outside if you're gonna be sick!"

"It reeks! Open the door!"

"I can't breathe in here!"

Five Heart Pirates burst out onto the deck, gasping for fresh air — only to realize they were prisoners aboard a stranger's warship.

"Captain!" Bepo spotted Law, standing a short way off, facing a figure draped in white fox robes.

"Wait… is he also a Mink? No — that can't be…" Penguin glanced up at the main sail, froze for two seconds, then slumped to the deck in horror.

"That crest — that's the mark of Emperor Grimm!"

"EHHHH?!" Sweat poured down the others' faces.

"An Emperor? Here?!"

"We only just formed — are we finished already?!"

"Spare us! We're nothing, just tiny ants! You don't need to crush us right now!"

Before the Holy Light crew could say a word, the Heart Pirates were already wailing and begging for mercy.

"Quiet!" Law snapped, silencing his men — though cold sweat still streamed down his cheeks.

"Why attack us? Just for sport?"

"Your power is remarkable," Grimm said with a faint smile.

"I see great promise in you. Join me. May the Holy Light shine upon you."

"Whoa — recruited by an Emperor?!"

"Even without a bounty yet — our captain's the real deal!"

Relief washed over the Heart Pirates; they stopped trembling and started grinning.

"Sorry," Law said, drawing his greatsword Kikoku without hesitation, his expression hard as flint.

"Lord Grimm — I don't take orders from anyone."

"KYAAAAH!" Bepo cowered, covering his head and scurrying backward. Penguin and the others grabbed Law's shoulders.

"Captain — we'll die if you say that!"

"Just go along with it for now — besides, you both share the same name!"

Law shook them off, his stance unyielding. "I said — I hate being told what to do."

Grimm studied him. Young, clean‑shaven, barely eighteen.

From what he had overheard, the Heart Pirates were still new — Law had not yet developed the cool caution that would later let him outmaneuver Doflamingo and Kaido.

Right now he was simply wild, unbroken pride.

"Then try to survive me," Grimm said, as if speaking to a snarling kitten.

The words stung. Law hurled his scabbard aside. "Arrogant old man — I'll carve that heart right out of you!"

"ROOM!"

A vast spherical barrier swallowed half the Revolutionary Dragon. Law lunged forward, swinging his blade — only to find Grimm gone.

"Poor fool," the Holy Light crew murmured in unison.

A golden blur appeared behind him. A massive sword rested cold against Law's neck.

This is it, Law thought. I'm dead.

But five seconds passed, and the blade never cut. Instead a flash of light sliced clean through his hat, splitting it in two.

"Uh…" Law stared, humiliation burning hot in his chest as he scrambled back.

"You… you were just playing with me!"
