Chapter 4 - OPHK: Chapter 4

Grimm walked to the ship's wheel and realized he had no idea how to steer a sailboat.

If you want to go left, you just turn the wheel left, right? This was too hard for someone who hadn't even passed their driving test!

After a long time, Grimm still hadn't learned how to steer!

"This is too hard for me!"

So, Grimm decided to let the ship drift. The weather in the Four Seas wasn't as strange as in the Grand Line.

After living on a deserted island for three years, Grimm believed he could handle any weather and any Sea Kings that attacked ships!

A few days later, Grimm's ship drifted into a new sea area, entering the waters of an island. He could see some small fishing boats.

After checking the map based on the route he had drifted, he learned that this was Flevance, a country with fairytale-like purity, known as the "White Town."

"Hey, look at that ship..."

"It's a pirate ship!"

Seeing a three-masted sailboat they had never seen before slowly sailing towards the dock, and then seeing the pirate flag on it, the fishermen immediately shouted in fear.

In any era, pirates were the most feared by the residents, except for the Navy.

Several fishing boats saw the Fells Pirates' flag.

"Oh, Butch, you're like a stupid pig. Move your damn fat ass. You're sitting on the box with the Den Den Mushi. Oh, damn it, you really need to lose weight."

An old fisherman pushed his fat apprentice away and took the Den Den Mushi out of the box. Without saying a word, he contacted the Navy.

"Moshi Moshi, is this the Navy? Thank God! I finally got through to you. We saw a damn pirate ship near the west dock. I swear I've never seen such a big pirate ship in my life. It's coming towards us. At this speed, the pirates will land in less than half an hour!"

"What are the markings on the pirate ship?" The Navy's voice on the other end of the Den Den Mushi sounded excited.

The old fisherman slapped his apprentice on the back of the head: "Butch, use your little eyes and look at what's on that damn pirate flag!"

"A skull, two swords behind it, and a black bear paw print below the skull!" Butch quickly said, afraid his master would slap him on the back of the head again!

Bones behind the skull are swords, and a bear paw print?

The Navy officer's eyes widened. He immediately thought of someone, a famous pirate in the North Blue with a high bounty, the user of the Animal-type Bear-Bear Fruit, Black Bear form, Matney Fells, a guy feared by all the North Blue Navy.

"Immediately summon the troops and notify Major Asal! This is a big deal!" The Navy officer hung up the Den Den Mushi and quickly gave orders. He didn't dare to be careless about this.

Hearing about the Fells Pirates, the originally listless Navy soldiers perked up. It seemed there was going to be a big battle today.

Fifteen minutes later, more than two hundred Navy soldiers from the Flevance branch had gathered on the west coast. More than a dozen cannons were ready at the port. Five minutes later, a three-masted sailboat slowly came into view.

"That's right, it's Fells!" Major Asal muttered to himself, touching the scar that stretched from the corner of his left eye to his chin: "The big pirate who retreated from the Grand Line after losing to Gol D. Roger!"

Then, Asal's expression became stern. He raised his hand and said, "You little bastards, pull up your pants, get your heads in the game, the battle is about to begin! Open fire as soon as the ship is in range!"

Five minutes later.

The moment the Fells Pirates' ship entered the range of the cannons, Asal, one of the highest-ranking commanders of the Navy here, shouted, "Fire!"

Boom! Boom! Boom...

More than a dozen cannons fired.

Vegapunk hadn't joined the Navy yet, so the cannonballs were just iron balls that didn't explode. More than a dozen black solid iron cannonballs flew towards the pirate ship.

"We're being attacked!" Grimm muttered, who was just controlling the mast: "Whatever, it'll just be a little troublesome!"

Grimm jumped to the bow of the ship and released a pure golden Holy Light aura, facing the iron balls.

"Holy Light Barrier!"

A giant golden shield protected the ship.

Boom boom boom!

The cannonballs exploded on the Holy Light Barrier. The Holy Light Barrier shattered from the damage, turning into fragments of Holy Light that disappeared into the air.

The fact that the cannonballs were blocked didn't surprise Major Asal. That was how it should be. If a pirate with a 30 million Berry bounty was killed by cannons, he would be a fake.

Suddenly, the pirate ship sped up. At this close range, the cannons couldn't be used anymore to avoid the recoil. Major Asal took a step back and waved his hand: "Riflemen, prepare!"

Immediately, a group of infantrymen carrying one-meter-long muskets stepped forward, kneeled, aimed their muskets at various parts of the pirate ship, and fired as soon as they saw someone.

When everyone saw the figure at the bow of the ship, someone immediately fired.

"Did I hit him?"

A musketeer shouted excitedly. He saw his bullet blow the head off a pirate.

"He's not dead!"

Asal said seriously. The cheering crowd looked over. The pirate whose head had been blown off hadn't fallen. His head was tilted back, and he was slowly raising it.

What happened next was terrifying. They saw a boy around fifteen or sixteen years old, biting a black spherical bullet in his teeth, and then calmly spitting it out.

"This is annoying, why do these guys always aim for the head!" Grimm complained. If they had aimed somewhere else, he wouldn't have bothered dodging. A Divine Shock would have healed it.

Asal looked at Grimm and hurriedly asked his deputy: "Who is that boy to Fells?"

As one of the top pirates in the North Blue, Fells' actions were closely watched by the Navy. Asal knew everything about who boarded the ship. After all, the Fells Pirates had always been around twenty people, so it was easy to remember. But he didn't have any memory of this boy.

Who was he? Did he just join? Was he a monster who came back from the Grand Line?

The deputy found a pile of bounty posters and quickly flipped through them. He turned to his superior and said, "This person isn't on any of the wanted posters."

"He must have just joined!" Asal thought. Of course, there was another possibility: the boy had wiped out the Fells Pirates.

Don't be ridiculous. Asal didn't believe that the small, not-very-strong fifteen-year-old kid on the bow of the ship could kill Fells.

There were geniuses in this sea, but Asal had never met one.

But luckily, he was meeting one today.

"It's the Navy!" Grimm said, looking at the soldiers in white shirts and blue ties below. He immediately recognized them.

On this sea, there were mostly two forces: pirates and the Navy.

"You think I'm a pirate? What a joke!" Grimm picked up a severed head and threw it down.

The head rolled twice on the ground and stopped at Asal's feet.

Then, a second, a third... a total of fifteen heads.

After Fells was killed, some people jumped into the sea and ran away. They were mostly non-combat personnel like cooks and doctors. There was no point in killing them, so Grimm didn't bother!

"This is..."

Asal started to examine the foul-smelling heads. It was autumn, and the weather was cold, so the heads weren't rotting too badly. He could recognize them, but the stench was unbearable.

"This is Matney Fells' head," the deputy shouted.
