Chapter 113 - Chapter 113 Action

At noon, at the gate of Cien Orphanage in the southeastern suburbs of Igwinte.

The festive moment was interrupted by a sudden change. Suddenly, a group of men in black surrounded Viscount Field, who was welcoming his seventh adopted daughter. The sudden change astonished everyone present.

"Father... this, this is..."

Anna looked at the scene before her with a hint of fear, while the butler beside her spoke soothingly.

"Don't worry, Viscount Field will handle it."

The men in black surrounded Viscount Field, the butler, and Anna. Everyone held firearms and was on guard. After scanning the men in black before him, Viscount Field spoke directly in a serious tone.

"Are you Hunters? Tell your Captain to come out and talk."

"No Captain is needed, I am here."

A steady voice came from among the Hunters, and then several Hunters moved aside to clear a path. An older man in a well-fitting suit, with a small mustache and neatly combed hair, slowly walked out. This was James, the current Director of the Iggwente Secret Agency. Because this operation was of great importance, he had come out in person.

"Heh... So it's Director James." Looking at James walking out from among the Hunters, Field smiled slightly, then spread his hands and continued to speak.

"Can you explain the current situation? Mr. Director, has something happened here that is beyond our normal understanding?"

James took two steps forward. He looked at Viscount Field and spoke slowly.

"Not yet, Viscount Field, but we have received intelligence indicating that you are currently in danger. We are here to protect you."

"Oh? Protect? Then I really appreciate your effort, Director, but I don't need any protection. Please leave." Field waved his hand and spoke directly, with a hint of anger in his expression. However, James clearly had no intention of retreating.

"Viscount Field, this case is of great importance and involves the lives of many innocent people. I hope you can come back with us for a trip to cooperate with our investigation."

"I said I'm not going! James, I'm warning you, you have no right to take any Enforcement measures against me! Order your men to move aside! Otherwise, I'll call the City Guard!" Field waved his hand and said loudly. At this time, his mood was even more agitated, clearly very angry.

Compared to Field's agitation and anger, James was much calmer.

"The City Guard also has no right to interfere with us. Don't worry, Viscount Field... we will ensure your safety."

Seeing James's persistence, Field was momentarily speechless, not knowing how to respond. Just then, the butler who had been standing silently behind Field stepped forward two steps to Field's side, holding a cup of tea, and said to Field.

"Master, don't worry, have a cup of tea to calm down first. Why don't you go with this Mr. today, and I'll take Miss Anna home."

Taking the tea handed to him, Field gazed at the butler beside him. After looking at each other for two seconds, Field drank the tea and returned the cup to the butler. He then turned around and looked at James again, and said to him.

"Okay, I'll go with you. You let the people clear the way, and my butler will take the child back first."

"No, the child must stay first. After we've finished our business, you can come back here to pick her up, Viscount Field." James responded rather sternly. Field frowned for a moment, then responded with a compromise.

"Okay."

After speaking, Field bent down and said with a smile to Anna, who was still very nervous.

"Anna, wait in the courtyard for a while, I'll come to pick you up later, be good."

"Okay... understood, Father."

Although a little unwilling, Anna still nodded obediently and said. Then, she carried her suitcase and walked towards the orphanage gate with reluctance.

"Please, Viscount Field."

James stepped forward and personally invited Field. Field followed James onto a Hunter's carriage without saying a word. Seeing this scene, all the Hunters also returned to their own carriages.

Until the very end, a Hunter glanced back at the orphanage twice. It wasn't until he saw a white-haired girl with worried eyes at the entrance of the orphanage hall that he breathed a sigh of relief and left with peace of mind, getting onto the carriage.

Then, the coachmen drove the black carriages away from the orphanage gate and headed into the distance.

Carrying her small suitcase, Anna walked back into the orphanage with a hint of disappointment. The Sister and a few companions all went up to comfort her.

"Sister Didre, Viscount Field is a very kind person, he'll be fine, right?"

Anna looked eagerly at the old Sister who was the Dean and said. The Dean prayed and said.

"The Holy Mother will bless those with sincere and kind hearts. If Viscount Field is like that, then he will definitely be fine... Alright Anna, go back to the dormitory to rest first. I will inform you when Viscount Field returns."

"Okay..."

Nodding her head, Anna walked into the orphanage. She looked around the hall, trying to find Dorothy, but she couldn't find her.

Thus, Anna, even more disappointed, lowered her head and walked towards the dormitory.

And just as she was passing through an empty and deserted corridor, a figure was quietly approaching from behind her.

Then, from behind Anna, a pair of rough hands suddenly reached out, picked up Anna, and forcefully covered her mouth.

"Mmm! Woo woo! Mmm mmm!"

Anna struggled desperately, but it was completely useless. Her weak strength was unable to break free from the restraint. The released suitcase fell to the ground. A bald man with a fierce expression firmly controlled Anna from behind. He was Feich, a worker at the orphanage.

"Don't move, kid..."

Holding Anna hostage, Feich leaped out of the corridor window, then quickly ran towards the wall in front, and then ran out of the courtyard through a hidden side door of the orphanage.

Then, Feich ran forward all the way, and after passing through a small grove, he came to a road. At this moment, a luxurious carriage pulled by three horses was waiting for him there. At the open carriage door, the butler named Luer was waiting, leaning on a cane.

"Sir! I've brought the thing!" Coming to the front of the carriage, Feich said respectfully to Luer, and Luer nodded in response.

"Get in the carriage, we're leaving immediately."

"Yes!"

Then, the few of them got into the carriage together and quickly left the place. All of this was seen by a crow in the sky.

"Hmph... As expected, those guys have an inside person in the orphanage, probably to monitor the children and organize rehearsals for a long time..."

By the roadside in another location, inside another carriage, Dorothy muttered to herself. Then she turned her head and spoke to the Sister sitting beside her.

"They couldn't wait and have already started their operation. Please get ready to track them, Sister Vanya."

"Okay... good, good..."
