Chester woke up with gentle but possessive arms around him and a warm body pressed behind him.
He could feel Cassian's steady breath on his skin and didn't want to wake him. Slowly, he started to lift himself off the mattress but Cassian's hand tightened around him.
He stilled, biting down on his lip.
"I didn't know you're awake," Chester murmured.
"Are you still angry? Is that why you're trying to leave me?" Cassian asked softly.
Chester sighed and gently turned so he faced Cassian. He locked his eyes with Cassian's and smiled softly, reaching up to caress the stubble that was growing on Cassian's chin.
"I am offended that you ask that, Captain." He whispered.
Cassian sighed in relief and pulled Chester flush against him, "Good. Because I love you too much to let you go now." He murmured into Chester's ear.
Chester's breath hitched; he pulled his head back to gaze into Cassian's eyes.
"What did you say, Captain?" He whispered shakily, heart beating fast.
