Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: The Door That Should Never Open

The basement wall was shaking slowly.

Crack… crack…

The child's crying voice was getting louder.

"Brother… open the door…"

Arman stood quietly.

The girl with empty eyes grabbed his hand.

"Don't listen to it," she said.

Arman asked softly,

"Why are you afraid?"

The girl did not answer.

The red glowing eyes behind her became very small, almost disappearing.

Outside, the village wind started screaming like a lost soul.

Arman touched the cracked wall again.

"I know you are inside," he said.

The child's voice came again.

"I am hungry… Brother…"

Arman closed his eyes.

"I am sorry," he whispered.

Then he pressed his hand on the broken stone.

The basement door behind him suddenly locked by itself.

The girl shouted,

"You should not open that door!"

Arman smiled.

Because he remembered something else.

The villagers did not sacrifice him.

They sealed something inside the house using his body.

And tonight, he was going to free it.
