Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Secret Buried in Blood

The basement was getting colder.

The cracked wall was shaking like a living heart.

Arman stood in front of it silently.

The girl with empty eyes whispered,

"If you open it, something worse will wake up."

Arman asked,

"What is inside?"

The girl closed her empty eyes.

"Something older than death."

The child's voice came again from the wall.

"Brother… I am thirsty…"

Arman remembered the night.

Rain falling heavily.

Villagers standing around him.

And a stone being placed over his chest.

They did not kill him.

They sealed his soul and blood inside this house.

Arman placed both hands on the wall.

"If I open this door, I will be free," he said.

The red glowing eyes returned behind the girl.

The woman's voice laughed softly.

"You will not be free."

The wall cracked suddenly.

Black liquid started coming out slowly.

Like blood that had been waiting for many years.

The clock outside struck one in the morning.

And the child inside the wall started crying with joy.

"Brother… you are coming back."
