Chapter 1: The Unknown Message
The city was cloaked in a soft evening haze. Rian sat at his small desk, staring at his laptop screen, finishing yet another mundane assignment. The hum of the ceiling fan and the distant honk of cars outside created the usual monotonous background.
Suddenly, his phone buzzed with an unfamiliar notification. He picked it up, expecting another ad or spam, but instead, it read:
"You have been chosen. Come to Platform 3 at the train station at 10 PM."
Rian blinked in disbelief. Chosen? By whom? And why him? His mind raced with questions, but before he could respond, the message vanished, leaving only a faint glow on the screen.
Curiosity gnawed at him. For as long as he could remember, his life had been ordinary—predictable, safe, and uneventful. Could this be a chance for something extraordinary? He hesitated, feeling a chill run down his spine, yet a spark of excitement ignited.
"I'll go… but I have to be careful," he whispered to himself. Packing a small backpack with essentials, Rian stepped out into the dimly lit streets, unaware that this night would change his life forever.
