Chapter 2: The Strange Journey

The train station was eerily quiet when Rian arrived. Only a few scattered travelers were milling around, their faces blurred in the shadows. From the corner of Platform 3, a faint whistle echoed. Out of nowhere, an old, weathered train rolled into view. Its paint was chipped, and its windows glimmered like liquid silver.

Rian approached cautiously. The doors creaked open, inviting him inside. The interior was empty except for a single wooden seat where a curious object rested—a folded, worn map. He picked it up and unfolded it.

The map depicted the city he thought he knew, but with hidden alleys, underground tunnels, and secret courtyards marked in red. A handwritten note in elegant script lay beside it:

"Those who find this map will uncover all the city's hidden truths. But beware—the truth is never simple."

Rian felt a surge of fear and excitement. He stepped onto the train, and it began to move without a conductor in sight. The familiar streets of the city blurred past, twisting and changing. Buildings seemed taller, shadows longer, and streetlights flickered with a mysterious glow.

Hours seemed to pass in moments, and Rian realized he had entered a world unlike any he had known—where reality and mystery intertwined. Each passing scene on the train made him question what was real, and what was hidden beneath the surface of the city he called home.
