Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 A Gift from the Ocean

Chapter 4 A Gift from the Ocean

The sky was ablaze with brilliant light, but all was silent.

The brilliant sunlight shone on the figures of Doris and Nereus.

The brilliant red is reflected on the gentle green.

Emerald green kingfishers flew around the azure sky.

Tima, the bird, watched this heartwarming scene from the sidelines.

"Dear Doris, it's time for us to end our adventure. It was a pleasure to meet you today, but we must return to our own territory. I miss it dearly after being away for so long."

Tima wisely prepared to leave.

Doris was smiling brightly at Nereus when she heard this, and immediately turned around.

"My dear friend, are you going back?" Doris said to Tima in a sad tone.

"Yes, birds that wander far from home always return to their nests," Tima comforted her.

"I cherish you, my friend. You are my only friend outside the sea. Can't we stay a little longer?" Doris asked, still unwilling to give up.

"Doris, what comes together must come apart. This is an eternal truth. There is no banquet that does not end. You must learn to say goodbye, and every parting is for the next reunion," Nereus interjected from the side.

Doris felt somewhat awkward upon hearing Nereus's words.

He glanced at Nereus for a long time, then turned and swam into the deep sea.

"Tima, please wait for me."

Tima, Canalivie, and Nereus were left to wait on the sea.

Doris returned shortly afterward.

The vibrant red hair speaks volumes about the owner's status.

The beautiful and lively mermaid held a large bouquet of gifts—treasures of the sea.

Beautiful coral, echoing conch shells, gentle pearls.

"Doris, I cannot accept this treasure of the sea; it is so precious," Tima immediately declined Doris's offer.

"My helpful friend, as a friend of the sea, you deserve the sea's finest treasures."

Upon seeing Tima's refusal, Doris immediately used her divine power to push Haizang toward Tima.

Seeing this, Tima reluctantly accepted it.

Tima transformed into human form, his white hair contrasting with his golden eyes, radiating a dazzling brilliance, like a noble little prince, with wings on his back reflecting his identity as the master of flight.

Doris stared blankly at it.

"My dear friend, you are so beautiful, just like a noble prince," Doris praised sincerely.

Nereus's expression changed.

Tima immediately replied, "No, as a treasure of the sea, Doris, you are more beautiful and noble."

Tima did not want to reveal her identity as the Child of the Sky, and fortunately the gods were unaware of Tima's existence, only knowing of the White Oak Goddess and the Three Furies.

But Nereus's expression was quite intriguing.

"Tima, if you don't want to reveal your identity, you should work on improving your divine power," Nereus added.

Tima was somewhat shocked.

"Your Highness Nereus, you..."

"Perhaps Doris cannot know, but as a god whose power surpasses yours, I can easily ascertain your identity," Nereus reminded him.

"This..." Tima was a little flustered. If Cronus knew his identity, it would probably cause unnecessary trouble. After all, the three generations of gods in Greek mythology were all suspicious.

"I know your concerns, but they are unnecessary. The space of arrogance is not targeting you right now," Nereus said reassuringly.

"If you increase your divine power, you can better conceal yourself. Although it will attract the attention of the space, I believe it will arrive very late. In the meantime, you should be able to increase your divine power to help hide your identity."

"And most importantly, you should hide your dazzling eyes," Nereus added.

"Do not mention the names of other gods lightly."

Doris looked into Tima's eyes and exclaimed!

"Tima! Tima! You are...you are..." Nereus immediately stopped Doris from saying the rest of her words with a look in his eyes.

Doris silently answered Nereus with an "I understand" look.

"Tima, so he really is a noble prince." A teasing voice swept over Tima.

A blush crept onto Tima Baizan's face.

"I'm sorry, my friend. I didn't mean to hide my identity from you. It's just that I don't like the identity of my bloodline."

"But even so, I still have to sincerely apologize to you, my friend."

Tima plucked a feather from her own plumage and gave it to Doris.

"Doris, although my divinity is not high, this feather is still a good material."

Tima then refined the feathers and combined them with pearls and a conch shell.

A pure white feather fan appeared in Tima's hand.

The Fan of Calling Feathers -- Proof of Feather Calling.

"Doris, with this divine artifact, you can summon the feathers, and the feathers will respect you." Tima used her divine power to deliver it to Doris.

Doris glanced at Nereus.

"Tima, no need for that. I was just joking with you. I've already forgiven you," Doris refused.

Seeing this, Tima looked at the gift Doris had given her and decided to give it to Doris in a different way.

"Doris, thank you for your gift. This is a return gift for you. I hope you will accept it. You gave me a precious treasure that only the ocean can produce, and I also hope to give you a unique treasure."

"Of course, I also hope you can better help the birds in distress," Tima added.

At this moment, Doris glanced at Nereus again.

Nereus then understood Tima's intentions and agreed to let Doris accept the task.

"Thank you! I will definitely protect the birds at sea." Doris accepted the Feather Calling Token and then expressed her gratitude
